the thing about villain to kill is that it has such interesting side characters and premise, but it stubbornly refuses to actually use either of those and it's driving me up the wall. but at the same time this is an action series, it doesn't need a character-driven plot, the same way it doesn't need to develop the implications of its worldbuilding.

but gdammit does it feel like a waste of cool characters sometimes.
