Porsche PIWIS III Disable/Enable Hidden Functions for Porsche Macan
Lots of small optional PCM features can be activated with Porsche PIWIS III. Obviously, these features must be installed by the factory - you can use PIWIS to see what installed but not activated. Here is a short list of such options: - navigation - logbook - voice control - sports chrono - satellite radio - USB - Bluetooth - Europe/NAmerica/SAmerica/Asia/MiddleEast/Russia/China/etc map - PCC - Telephone Activation is performed by entering 16 digit hex code into PIWIS, which is then sent to PCM ECU in a single UDS CAN message. This code is derived from VIN and feature you are trying to enable. Given that you can buy these codes easily from various online sites, it's obvious that algorithm has been successfully reverse engineered You don't need online connection for activation, but this is a common way for dealers to *get* the code. Example 1: Lower /reprogram Porsche Macan Air Suspension thru PIWIS 3 Basically the dealer or repair shop just needs to go into the air suspension control module with the PIWIS and add 20 millimeters to your current suspension settings input by the factory, you have to add to the number on the Macan to make the car go lower. They may try to subtract because this it how it works on the Cayenne and Panamera, but the Macan is different. Here is an example of what they would do, these numbers are arbitrary, so do not use them in your own car. Left Front original coding 414, they would add 20 to make it 434 Right Front original coding 416, they would add 20 to make it 436 Left Rear original coding 418, they would add 20 to make it 438 Right Rear original coding 414, they would add 20 to make it 434. This is basically the logic behind it and these numbers do not mean anything, so do not input them into the car, I have no idea what your factory settings are as each car may be slightly different, they are set at the factory based upon many different parameters. Also do this at your own risk, as I have no clue on how this will affect your warranty or the service life of the air suspension. In my opinion, the car actually would look better if you lower the front by 10mm more than the rear, because of the shape of the wheel arches, sometimes the Macan looks as if it is squatting in the back. Also 20mm is less than an inch and to be honest, it will not even look like you have lowered the car. Good to know: 1.PIWIS III / PIWIS II will allow you to drop your Macan and turn on and off various factory features. It won't do a tune or change the algorithm that controls the valves if you still want them to respond to the buttons. To do that you have to hack the various controllers in the car, or the ECU. While this is standard practise in a lot of the hacker community on common GM, Ford and other ECUs, it is notoriously difficult to do for the Siemens SDI system in late model Porsches. 2.PIWIS II is replaced by PIWIS III,PIWIS III is more expensive than PIWIS II, but it can cover newer Porsche cars [Paramera (971) 2018, Caynenne (92A) 2018, Macan (95B) 2018, Macan (95B) 2018, 911 (991) 2018] and have more user-friendly features. https://blog.uobdii.com

Autel MaxiIM 608,A fast-access option for OBD II/EOBD vehicle diagnosis is available on the Vehicle Menu screen. This option presents a quick way to check for DTCs,isolate the cause of an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL), check monitor status prior to emissions certification testing, verify repairs, and perform a number of other services that are emissions-related. These are the other key fobs the new ones. We could use this one and see if the remote start works. And it does, so it's good. GM VXDIAG NANO Test on Global & TIS2000 by XP VWmare
So if one is tech savvy, GM NANO is not a bad deal, since it also comes with GDS2 as well to work on newer cars.GM MDI 2 The downfall, unless you have everything loads on say a small tablet wit touch screen, then most laptops are too bulky to be used while you are in the car instead. Plus, still have not figured out the problem of why the Tech2win software is not working on my machine, and still running it, and all the other software on a older 32bit windows machine instead. So I still giving the tech II clone the better thumbs up for working on the C6, since its a perfect size when you are in the car, plus the TIS200 software that comes with it, it one click loading from the disc instead. To add, when you are doing the above to VM into SD, once you have the VXDiag manager program installed in 4, make sure open the manager program, update your license key, then down load both the apt programs so it will install the needed VXDIAG scanner select in step 19. Hence if all you get with the “generic Pass Thru diver is just MDI and MDI2 only, then you can need to cancel back out of Tis2000, go into the VC manager program, update your license on the Nano, then install both the pass through and GM/GDS2 program from that same screen. Once you have done such, then you can go back into Tis2000, go to IO, select Generic pass thru, and now you would have the VXDIAD scanner under the MDI and MDI2 selections to select. Also, the SDS program in Tis2000 is the only one that will work the Nano in pass through mode. The rest are for a Tech II hand unit that your not using instead. So tech2win running native with any luck on a Win 64bit machine ( may have better luck with an AMD machine, since I gave up trying on an intel 7 machine, and just running that on a win 7 machine Next you run GDS2 in a VM machine using the two file you have, the another vm machine running a full version XP, with the the above way to set up Tis200. And no, you can’t install tech2win on the full XP VM machine, since it want to run in Win 7 32bit instead. And just a FYI, to try to pull off the two VM version in Win 7 running in the free virtal PC you can download from MS , if you used to the speed of the new win 10 machines (SSD drive and more power/memory that you can really use short of gaming), VM’g on an older 7 32 bit machine with a M processor, its brutally slow to say the least. VERY GOOD TIP might help you if you don’t have good luck with GM Nano: Don’t feel bad, since I pulled my clone apart to just take a look at the solder joints to clean them up when I first got it so they would not cause problems, saw the cheap knock off DC to DC converter then, and have a back up to replace mine when it goes bad as well. If nothing else, when you go auto bleed the brakes, you don’t have the huge GM Nano hanging down that you have to sneak your foot under it as you cycle the ADS pump and ride the brake pedal. Hence going to be a bitch to do driving data runs with the Nano plugged in, since it hangs down so low and really gets in the way if you are trying to drive the car. Hell trust is, for checking the engine and doing engine data logs, find it easy to just run my low profile wifi Elm 327 and run scan master elm via the laptop on the bench. Hence the low profile wifi elm327 came with a copy of scan master via amazon for $19, and also works with my Iphone running dashcommand for driving, since the elm327 wifi device only site about an inch below the OBDI port when plugged in. Where the tech II comes in (and GM Nano), is the rest of the car, since the scan master/other types of basic scanners can not get into the body modules to pull and clear those codes, nor get you into the special options as well. As for HPtuner over EFI live, have both and can’t really say for sure which is the better tuning software. Hp tuner has come a long way with extra options, while EFI gave you access to all the options from the start instead. Also, these are both good devices to use to do driving data runs like the Tech II clone as well, since when plugged in, the the cords can be tucked up to not get in the way either. Hence still not sold if the GM Nano will stay plugged in/your not going to knock it out of the port for driving data runs And up against my wifi elm327 that I use more often with Scan master or dash command for driving data logging runs instead. So lets add in a obd2 extender cable that should be thrown in the mix for the GM Nano for driving data logging that going to be needed as well. Typical code status include: ● Present/Permanent/Current Codes ● Pending Codes History Codes Present/Permanent/Current codes stored in a control module are used to help identify the cause of a trouble or troubles with a vehicle. If the fault does not occur within a certain number of drive cycles (depending on vehicle), the code clears from memory. If a fault occurs a specific number of times, the code matures into a DTC and the MIL illuminates or blinks. History codes are also referred to as past codes that indicate intermittent DTCs that are not currently active. To read codes from a vehicle: 1. Scroll with the arrow keys to highlight Read Codes from Function Menu and press the ENTER key. A code list including code number and its description displays. 2. Use the up and down arrow keys to scroll through data to select lines, and left and right arrow keys to scroll back and forth through different screens of data. 3. Press function key Save to store DTC information. Press function key Freeze Frame to view freeze data. Freeze Frame Data: a snapshot of critical vehicle operating conditions automatically recorded by the on-board computer at the time of the DTC set. It is a good function to help determine what caused the fault. 4. Use left and right arrow keys to scroll back and forth through different screens of data. 5. Press function key Save to store freeze frame information. Or use the BACK key to exit. Clear Codes Clear Codes menu lets you to clear all current and stored DTCs from a selected control module. Also it erases all temporary ECU information, including freeze frame. So make sure that the selected system is completely checked and serviced by technicians and no vital information will be lost before clearing codes. NOTE ● To clear codes, make sure that the ignition key is switched to ON with the engine off. ● Clear Codes does not fix the problem that caused the fault! DTCs should only be erased after correcting the condition(s) that caused them. To clear codes: 1. Scroll with the arrow keys to highlight Clear Codes from Function Menu and press the ENTER key. 2. Follow the on-screen instructions and answer questions about the vehicle being tested to complete the procedure. 3. Check the codes again. If any codes remain, repeat the Clear Codes steps. Autel IM608 Read and Clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes
This instruction focus on how to use Autel IM608 to diagnose your vhicle,it show you read and clear diagnostic trouble codes. Now,Autel company released their Autel APB112 key simulator used with Autel IM608 and Autel IM508. Autel IM608 Read & Clear DTCs: Connect IM608 to vehicle,then enter menu to select diagnosis,and select Auto Scan to identify vehicle. This function retrieves and displays the DTCs from the vehicle’s control system. The Read Codes screen varies for each vehicle being tested. On some vehicles, freeze frame data can also be retrieved for viewing. The sample Read Codes screen displays as below: 1Autel MaxiIM608 Diagnostics Toolbar Buttons – see Table 4-2 Operation Toolbar Buttons on page 38 for detailed descriptions of the operations for each button. 2Main Section Code Column – displays the retrieved codes from the vehicle. Snowflake Icon – only displays when freeze frame data is available for viewing; selecting this icon will display a data screen, which looks and behaves similar to the Read Codes screen. 3.Functional Button Help – tap to view fault code information, including fault description,condition for fault identification, and driver information. Freeze frame – tap to view the freeze frame data. Search – tap to search related fault code information on Google. ESC – tap to return to the previous screen or exit the function. Erase Codes After reading the retrieved codes from the vehicle and certain repairs have been carried out, you can decide to erase the codes from the vehicle using this function. Before performing this function, make sure the vehicle’s ignition key is in the ON (RUN) position with the engine off. To erase codes 1Tap Erase Codes from the Function Menu. 2A warning message displays to advice of data loss if this function is completed. a) Tap Yes to continue.
