I spent that night in the arms of someone new. 

A couple drinks, 

and he was nice. 

Not too drunk to remember, 

and yet the thing I remember most 

was how he rolled over in the night 

and he grabbed my shoulder 

and he rubbed my trapezius with his thumb. 

It was just a moment 

and 

it wasn’t loving 

but 

it was nice. 

It reminded me ofsomething that had never been 

and 

something that might never be 

but that something 

I will always dream of it.

Going through a breakup

When done breaking up I expected to recede into my room and not be able to do anything for weeks on end.  However, through past experiences i learned this was not the end of the world.  Time moves on, the seasons change and the world revolves around the sun no matter how crappy i feel.  

When that very person comes around again to say they want you back, what would I do? Say maybe i need time to think about it? answer no right away? or give in and say fuck it i want you. The latter is what i chose.
