Mandatory nap
Trafalgar Law x gn!reader Note: just take a nap with Law and Chopper. fluff and cute. sfw.
word count: 2.7k
Law refused to sleep in the same room as the Straw Hat idiots. The men's room had an unpleasant smell to the surgeon's sensitive nose. He joined the Straw Hat crew a few days ago, just for alliance reasons, and the few hours he's been sleeping have been in a hidden couch in the library.
Law has gone days without sleep before, usually resists quite well, but the recent events in Punk Hazard and the obsession with his plan to defeat Doflamingo, is taking its toll on him. The naturally dark circles under his eyes were even more marked. His body felt heavy and the headaches persisted for too long. He's a doctor, knows that he was on the verge of collapse, but he still refused to sleep in that unpleasant room. So drink large amounts of caffeine, even though he hate coffee.
Chopper has been watching the other doctor from a distance, worried and curious about him. During their time together on the island of ice and lava, he was surprised by the pirate's medical knowledge and took a certain respect and admiration from him. He wanted to be his friend, but the serious and dark appearance scares him enough not to approach his. That's why Chopper knows Law hadn't slept well in a while, could read the extreme tiredness in his body. In an act of bravery, he asked Sanji for help to make a special tea, which hoped would help him rest and regain energy, but he did not dare approach the man.
From the door of the library, where Chopper learned that Torao spent much of his time, with the hot cup in his hands he debates whether to close or not. Is afraid that he will take the gesture in the wrong way. He already looked quite moody sitting at one of the desks, leaning in a not at all comfortable position over a sea of books and notes scattered everywhere. The tension and frustration could be felt in the air around Law. He wants to help him.
"What's wrong Chopper?" Your soft voice makes him jump a little, scaring him. Some of the tea spills over. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't see you had something hot with you."
The reindeer's eyes shine when he sees you there. You can help him! Chopper had noticed that Law is a little more comfortable around you in the few interactions they've had. You had a calm and peace aura that used to help everyone relax. You're the ideal person to help in his mission!
"Oh, can you help me? Please" He asks you in a whisper, not wanting to be discovered.
You follow his gaze from the cup he holds out for you to where you see the new ally frowning at a piece of paper. His back must ache from the horrible posture and his eyes burn from the poor lighting. His characteristic hat lies to one side, leaving his mop of dark hair free. Your hand itches to run the tip through the strands that fall on the nape of his neck.
"Is this for Torao?" You ask him taking the cup. Chopper nods. "And you want me to take it to him?" Chopper nods again, happily.
You think about it for a second. It's true that you've spoken to the Captain of the Heart Pirates before, but were just casual chats. If you're honest, you were attracted to the pirate since the first meeting between the crews, two years ago. Law gave off an attractive, mysterious and addictive aura. You wanted to get to know him little by little, sure that beneath that bitter face there was much more. He had helped Luffy when none of you could. That fact made your attraction to him only grow. And with each day you spent together, you became more sure of it. However, you also have to be honest that it was a little scary.
But seeing him so stressed bothers you. And you understand that Chopper feels the same way. Both have taken a certain appreciation to the man.
“Mmmm,” you hesitate, biting the inside of your cheek. "What if we go together? It scares me a little, too" confess with a knowing smile.
It only takes a few seconds for Chopper to nod and extend his hand to take your free one. Determined, but slowly, you approach Law's desk. Up close he looks even more haggard due to insomnia and stress. The pirate ignores you two even though he can feel next to him. He's not in the mood to socialize.
You scratch your throat seeking his attention, Chopper repeats the action when sees that Law ignores you. Realizing that you won't leave, he sighs tiredly and turns to the two of you.
"What do you need?" He asks deadpan. His eyebrow raises when you leave the still warm cup on the desk, between a book and his forearm.
"Chopper made this for you," you gesture to the tea.
Law's gaze moves from you to the tea and to Chopper. It's hard to read his expression, so the doctor rushes to speak.
"It's an herbal infusion so you can rest better, Torao!" His voice sounds animated and he approaches the table, pointing out all the ingredients has.
Law just looks at him, a little surprised and touched by the reindeer's concern. Tenderness washes over him, and is so tired that a bit of his bitter expression falls away. Chopper is too excited about his creation to notice, but you can see through the frown. His lips tremble and you smile in recognition of victory.
You watch as the man looks at the cup with an indecipherable look before bringing it to his mouth, blowing gently before tasting the infusion. That insignificant action shouldn't weaken your legs like it does. His pursed lips as he blows the steam and his large tattooed hands wrapped around the small porcelain cup take your mind to places you'd rather ignore.
"Thank you."
His solemn but dry tone brings you back to reality. Up close you can see how tired he is, like he's about to pass out. Chopper seems to think the same from the look gives you. It's obvious that Law prefers to be left alone, but instead you point to the couch near the window, before heading there with Chopper. You both take a book and sit together on the couch, pretending to read while watch Law fight sleep as time passes. It's almost cute to watch him struggle to keep his eyes open. Somehow it's contagious, sleep begins to invade the two of you too. Chopper lets out a small yawn as snuggles closer to you. You imitate him.
The sun is about to disappear behind the sea when Law finally gathers his things and stands up. He's been aware of presence accompanying him, and if is honest with himself, it was a little comforting. Along with Robin, you were the Straw Hats who brought him the least problems, and who weren't complete idiots. That's why he drank the damn tea, even though getting sleep wasn't the main problem. He stood up only to stretch his legs and the stiff muscles in his back, preparing for another session of uncomfortable sleeping on the couch where you and the doctor were now resting. It was comfortable, not to sleep in, but it was better than the smelly room.
"Hey, Torao," you say quietly, noticing how sleepy the reindeer was. "You should go rest, you're too pale."
Law can't help but let out a short, sarcastic laugh, insomnia bringing out the worst in him. He tended to bring out his cold and sadistic side.
"And where the hell do you expect me to sleep?" His voice is thick with annoyance. "With that group of caveman tails?"
He is aware that is being mean to you, that you're not to blame for anything, but he can't help it. He is upset and frustrated. Lack of sleep only adds to a long list of worries to take care of. List that seems to be getting longer and longer.
You look at him, not taking his tone personally. He's stretching his muscles and bones, you can see some of his tanned skin exposed when he raises his arms. His face pale and sunken. And you think about his words. Yes, the boys' room is not the best option for sleeping. Always smells something bad and almost everyone snores.
Chopper wakes up next to you, uncomfortable with Torao's outburst, but willing to help him.
"You can sleep in the Nursing " he suggests kindly but shy.
You see Law open his mouth and hurry up before another snide comment escapes of his pretty mouth. You take the Chopper by the hand and as fast as you can you approach Law, taking his hand as well.
"That's a good idea!" You say as you drag them to the medical wing. "It's the best place to sleep. Let's take a nap!"
The medical area is close to the library, so it's a short but fun tour for you. You know if the Surgeon of Death wasn't so tired could easily take you down, but you're lucky. He just sighed in annoyance and exhaustion.
It's a large room that is not only used as an nursing, but is also part of where Chopper conducts his research. With such large limbs, the stretcher is wide and comfortable. You and Chopper have taken a few naps there, so you know it firsthand. You turn to them, Chopper is happy to find a comfortable place to rest, but the grumpy man only sees the large bed with suspicion.
You know where the doctor hides the best pillows and clean sheets, so you set out to make the ideal bed for ideal sleep. When you finish, happy with your result and take off your shoes. Chopper imitates you. Law remains static where you left him.
"What's wrong, Torao?" You ask, patting the stretcher next to you. "Come on, join us."
"I thought it would be an individual nap," he says, clearly uncomfortable. "I don't share a bed with anyone."
Lucky for you and the reindeer, you don't care. Roll your eyes, tired of him being so pessimistic and boring. When you're finally barefoot, stand up only to push him onto the bed. Apparently you have to do things by force. Law is surprised when you sit him down on the bed, next to a sleepy reindeer who pats the pillow, inviting him to lie down.
His face burn as you squirm in front of him, brows and lips pursed in determination. The view is something Law prefers not to delve into, not when there are people around and he is vulnerable from sleep. For his peace of mind, you only take his shoes and the katana out, leaving everything next to the bed. You also take the hat from his left hand, which Law took before leaving, unable to separate himself from it. You leave it hanging from the head of the bed.
"Lie down," you order him, firmly and with an unfriendly face. Law complains but does it. A sigh of relief escapes his lips, his back finally resting comfortably. "Good boy."
Law actually has to bite his lip to prevent the moan that seeks to escape at the compliment. You have more power over him than you expect and than he would like to admit. Chopper settles in next to him.
"I know it's uncomfortable for you. But trust it will be the best nap ever. It calms you down," he assures before closing his eyes.
Law remembers how almost every Straw Hat has said something similar about you at some point. That you bring peace. Harmony. Calm. If Law think about it, he has witnessed it. How you calm down the fights between the cook and the swordsman, or how you prevent Luffy from dying because of some hyperactive nonsense. He too has been a victim of such power, he realizes. The few times you've interacted until then, he's always felt even a little calmer. When Luffy first deviated from his plan, you grabbed him by the shoulder, laughing about how it was typical of your captain and how Law shouldn't worry so much. Coming from anyone else, it was kind of annoying, but it wasn't because it was you. You also helped him feel less desperate when everything seemed to fail. And you had only touched his shoulder.
Robin denied that you were a devil fruit user, and he would think it was a vile lie if he hadn't seen you swimming in the middle of the sea.
Then, he gave up. Fell onto the mattress. Closed his eyes and took a deep breath, his body finally relaxing. It felt good. He almost managed to fall into the clutches of sleep the instant his head hit the soft pillow if it weren't for his paranoia. Law felt something move next to him and went to defend himself when you grabbed his hand in the air. It was you, he recognized you by touch. You had turned off the light and moved slowly to lie next to him. He could barely see your face because of the starlight that came through the curtains.
"Shhh," you whispered nearby, watching as Chopper let out a small snore before moving closer to Law. "You're going to wake him up."
You didn't wait for a answer and laid down next to him, with one hand on his chest, pulling his body back to sleep. You weren't touching, but could both feel each other's warmth. It was calm. Law allowed himself to relax completely. Your muscles deflate and your spine finally has a rest. He feels the little reindeer snuggle against his right arm and smiles vaguely, remembering his first mate. Law really misses his crew.
"Law," you whisper after a while. The named freezes, it's the first time you've called him by his name and it's so... intimate.
"I thought we were going to sleep," he says, feigning harshness. He hears you move uncomfortably in bed.
"I know," you move closer to him. "But... can I hug you?"
His heart stops for a second. Law is not a man of tact, but he is urged by yours. Something he can't -or won't - identify vibrates inside him, cheering for you; for all of you.
"Yes," he whisper, softer and more devoted than he expects, but it's worth it.
Your body is even warmer and softer than Law expected. You hug his left arm, resting your head on his shoulder. One of your legs intertwines with his. It's not uncomfortable, it feels almost natural. One of your hands caresses his arm in a slow, gentle rhythm. Your contented sigh tickles his neck.
You're being bold, you know, but you can't help it. From the moment you saw him so discouraged and tired, you wanted this. You wanted him to rest. Let him rest in your arms. You wanted to feel the body of your precious Torao. You wanted to be warm just for him.
What really surprised you was feeling how his body calmed against yours, how they fit together like puzzle pieces and how his large, tattooed hand caressed your exposed thigh.
The big grumpy and cold Trafalgar D. Water Law dropped his mask for just one night. He let you and Chopper cling to his sides. He felt tickled when the doctor's nose rubbed against his side or when your hand moved from his arm to his chest. Only with Bepo could sleep so comfortably, and Law promised himself that if ever had the chance, he would allow you to join his naps together.
Chopper was right, you give the best naps. Now he had one more reason to steal you and take you with him, one more than your intellect and an incomprehensible desire to be by your side.
Robin entered the Nursing the next morning, looking for Chopper. It was a pleasant surprise to find the three of you in a mixture of hugs and sleepy caresses. A knowing smile adorned her face. She came out again, announcing to everyone that the Nursing was closed until further notice.

Headcanons: Kengan Men Falling in Love with you / Confessing
P.S. Gaolangs' is a little long I know...sorrryyyy
Ohma Tokita
• Had no idea what the hell love was. He's rarely experienced attraction, but love ?
• Meets you, immediately gets a smile on his face because he appeared behind you and saw how cute you looked when you got startled by him.
• You were working for Kazuo when you two met. Right before the Annihilation tournament.
• At first, he'd be the one teasing you because of how jittery you were around him. But that changed as soon as you got to know him.
• Ohma was a good looking, strong willed, yet thoughtful man. You admired him with all his flaws included. You fell in love when you two accidentally made eyecontact after he had one a fight. He gave you a smirk and all you could do was feel the heat rise to your face.
• What's this? His heart beats faster when he's near you, he wants to be with you 24/7. Can see a future with you?
• Kazuo tells him it's love.
• Yup it's love.
• Niko, a passionate lover of women, failed to elaborate what love was to him. So he goes to Kazuo for answers.
• Is very conflicted on what to do. He doesn't want to picture a life without you, but also confused about what you think of him.
• He confesses first, albeit in his own unique way. Aka you and him were teasing eachother and he accidentally admits that he wants a future with you.
• You, feeling the same way, ask him to close his eyes. He obliged, and you took that chance to kiss his bruised cheek. Also admitting that you felt the same way
• Never been happier in his life. Now its his turn.
• "Can I do something?" You nod. He pulls you in by your waist and kisses your lips as best as he can.
• Not bad for his first kiss, not bad at all.
Lihito / Ichiro Nakata
• Love at first sight kinda guy. Can't help it
• Sees you and is immediately head over heels, face first in the ground, on his knees pleading in love with you
• One sided, you hardly know this dude and are taken aback by his strong advances.
• He doesn't give up on you, takes every chance to flirt ask you out, compliment you
• He eventually notices that he's not as attracted to other women anymore, seems like he's got his sights set on you.
• You can't help but also fall in love with him after a while. He's such a dork. Always excited to see you, always thinking of you. You can't help but sigh and accept your feelings
• You see him change his approach to flirting, instead of coming off strong he comes off more sincere.
• You accept when he asks you out on a date
• End of the date. It seems he's planned this whole thing out very thoughtfully. You had a genuinely good time and felt your heart skip a beat when he looks at you with a smile
• He confesses first, but he knows what he's doing this time. Holding your hand with a blush on his face, he lists everything he admires about you.
• You interrupt him, ready to cry at how well that pulled on your heart strings. You confess as well.
• There's a moment of soft silence between the both of you.
• He picks you up and spins you around while joyously laughing. You hug him back as he spins you. Nothing in your life ever felt quite as right as this.
Raian Kure
• Enemies/Rivals to Lovers.
• You were a family friend of the Kures and Erioh had offered to train you. Both you and Raian were in your mid-teens
• You two couldn't STAND eachother. Constant bickering over who was the better fighter. He threw insults and you threw them back
• Sometimes your insults were so good they impressed him. He caught himself smiling sometimes when you two had a screaming match. Damn, you were good.
• You developed feelings first, maybe a year after you two met.
• As you two got older, Erioh saw the bond between you and hounded Raian to make you his S/O.
• Erioh made him realize his feelings.
• Raian got noticeably more protective of you while also getting on your nerves. It confused you at first.
• The whole family knew about your dynamic with Raian at this point, even Karura supported you guys getting together
• After several years, you two were adults and STILL weren't together
• As you two were bickering while sparring as per usual, one thing lead to another and-
• "I love you, you fucking idiot" "I love you too you shit sniffing douchebag"
• You had him pinned down, both panting as you finished your thoughts to eachother. Starring at eachother while sweating
• Grabs the back of your head and smashes his lips onto yours. One kiss turned into a rough makeout session, the two of you fighting for who got to be on top. It lasted an hour before the both of you said anything to eachother. Afterall, you guys had years of romantic tension.
• With his lips swollen, neck covered in bite marks, he gives you a teethy smile. "About fuckin' time we said something, huh?"
Gaolang Wongsawat
• You write and run an extremely popular article/blog about the latest and greatest fights and fighters.
• You're well respected among the community, let's say that.
• You hear about the Thai God of War, it piqued your interest so you book a flight to Thailand to see the heavy weight boxing championship.
• King Rama spots and instantly recognizes you. Calls one of the security guards to bring you over to the Royal Suite viewing area.
• Wants you to meet Gaolang and exchange numbers so you can write an article about him. Something about it bringing more tourists. I mean, that was your plan in the first place.
• After the fight is over, King Rama escorts you to the locker room. And there he is, sitting on a bench with a towel over his shoulders. Sweating, but not harmed like his opponent. You have to tell yourself not to stare too much.
• King Rama introduces you, Gaolang nods and agrees to meeting up at the palace so you can interview his properly. Long story short, you have his number now.
• A day after, you and him stroll in the royal gardens. You scribble things down in your notepad about him, but half of the time you're admiring how handsome he looks.
• Of course you catch feelings first.
• His voice makes you weak in the knees, and the way he says your name makes you wanna turn into a puddle.
• The interview was a success, the two of you say your goodbyes.
• You text him a thank you, and he responds with "It was a lovely experience chatting with you. I hope to read your article soon". Major butterflies as you slide down in you plane seat.
• Another texts appears as soon as you land- " Will you coming back to Thailand for any other fights? "
• Is this what you thought it was? You responded with a "maybe, it depends"
• Things escalated from there, weeks later you've booked another flight back to Thailand to see him fight again. And then again just to see him. Soon he was paying for your flights. You stayed for weeks on end.
• It started more as a fling, he felt attracted to you the more you texted him.
• He is a certified yearner. Every second you weren't around he was thinking about you.
• It was your last day in Thailand before heading back. He had taken you to a private beach to spend the remainder of your time together. You both were in the water as the sun set in the distance.
• He held you up against him while your legs wrapped around his hips. Holding onto your thighs tightly while your arms were secured around his neck.
• "You mean everything, stay here with me. I don't think I can bear the thought of you leaving again" he mumbled into your lips breathlessly.
Yoroizuka Saw Paing
• You are an aspiring artist looking to explore the villages in Japan. Hoping to capture the essence of them and learn their cultures.
• You heard of The Village of Dawn in Kyushu, and ventured out into the mountains.
• You found it with the power of sheer will, it was actually pretty easy since you started to hear something like battle cries coming from within the forest.
• The people were quick to accept you, they honored your cause and learning the culture. The Chief lead you around, showing you various traditions.
• "SHAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!" A voice boomed, almost shaking you off your feet. The Chief chases after you as you go off in the direction of the voice
• There he was, harshly swinging his head into plates of pure stone. You had never seen anything quite like it. The Chief introduces him as Yoroizuka Saw Paing, the villages' representative fighter.
• Saw Paing turns around with an unyielding smile, and a big red spot where he'd headbutt. You knew from the start that he'd most likely be the subject of your painting.
• He is overjoyed to see a person from the outside care about his village and people. Thinks what you're doing is awesome.
• You eventually get used to his loud voice and personality as you follow him around, sketching his various poses and facial features.
• He catches feelings first. He's never gotten this much attention from a someone before.
• "Hey (Reader) watch this!" "(Reader) look what I can do!" Saw really likes showing off for you, like a lot.
• Keeps you in the back of his mind when training, and it only makes him smile more.
• He is so dumb, but so lovable. Just thinking about his big dumbness in general makes you kick your feet and squeal into a pillow
• It's the day of one of his fights, he vows to fight for his village and for you.
• He hears you cheering him on, and that only fires him up more.
• Of course he wins. He leaps out of the ring and runs straight to you, sweeping you off your feet. Infront of the whole crowd, he kisses your lips with a fiery passion of what was to be expected of the strongest Lethwei fighter the world had seen.
Kanoh Agito
• Has never experienced attraction or love for anybody or anything (besides hot baths)
• Katahara Metsudo hired you as a body guard, that's when he met you. It was rare for him to hire bodyguards, as that wasn't his usual way of finding protection.
• Didn't think much of you at first, like he did with all the other people he meets unless they impress him in some way.
• If you're a woman, he'd expect you to be more 'fragile'. He hasn't really seen a female fighter before.
• Either way, you unknowingly prove yourself to him by saving Sayaka from assailants. Your moves were swift and precise, and you were able to defeat them without leaving a huge mess.
• Not only that, but you showed no fear when it came to him. The other body guards remained wary and cautious around him, while you didnt seem to care.
• You treated him like a human. Which was new coming from someone he didn't consider family.
• As a man of few words, he felt like he could have real conversations with someone. He opens up about his past, like the human Gu ritual.
• He gets his first hug ever from you. And he, awkwardly, tries to return it.
• For a few days, he thinks about what happened between the two of you. He tells Metsudo about how he feels around you. Metsudo laughs "Well then, tell (Reader) everything you told me"
• He avoids you for a while, which leaves you a bit conflicted and hurt because you really did care about him.
• He finally pulls you aside and repeats what he said to Metsudo. "I have a...strong regard for you"
• You laugh and he gets confused. "So you're saying you love me then?" You tilt your head.
• Love. That's the word. Love. He nods while humming. You smile at him, you never really considered him as a love interest. But that could definitely change. "Then say it, say it with no fear. There's nothing holding you back"
• Now that he had the words, he breathed deeply and looked you in the eyes. "I...love you"
Wakatsuki Takeshi
• The two of you met at the training gym most Kengan fighters frequented. You were new so he kept a close eye on you.
• You asked him for a spot on the squat rack, which he happily obliged. You were clearly experienced and didn't seem to need a spot with how easily you lifted without failing.
• From then on, it was small conversations here and there. Small greetings then going on with training.
• He garnered a very small crush because of how dedicated you were to coming and working on yourself.
• Honestly, he started getting distracted. Even when he was bench pressing 1000 pounds he zoned out while looking at you.
• Dropped a weight on Okubos foot while watching you practice striking a punching bag.
• He wanted to get to know you more, so he asked for you to be his part time Gym buddy. Of course he couldn't replace Okubo, he'd be heart broken.
• You couldn't keep up with him when it came to weights, but he could definitely jog with you and teach techniques when it came to fighting.
• Lihito and Okubo watch him closely as his usual mature and tough personality clearly was absent when he was with you. "You leaving us bro?" "Don't tell us you're in love!"
• Wakatsuki didn't care what the others thought. No one had ever made him feel this way, especially at his age.
• Asks you out on a date. You had such a deep admiration of him, so you accept. You could definitely see yourself with him.
• One date lead to another, then another, then another. People thought you were official, but nothing had ever been said between you two about becoming a thing.
• He was so nervous, way more nervous then when a fight was about to start. He almost sweat through his nice dress shirt while you sat accross from him, talking about whatever. Today was the day he wanted to ask you the question.
• He'd completely crushed and bent the silverware in his grip like it was tin.
• Quite literally shaking, he loosened his collar and bit the bullet. "I knew from the first day I saw you that I couldn't love anyone else the way I love you" he swallowed. "Please, be mine"
• Your heart lept out of your chest. His golden-brown eyes looking into yours, pleading for a response.
• "Of course I will" You placed your hand on his.
• His shoulders visibly untensed. He took your hand in a gentle hold and kissed your knuckles repeatedly, his way of thanking you.

𖤐 ִֶָ 𓂃 🧷
"C r u s h , c r u s h , c r u s h ."
Bakugou Katsuki x reader - (NB)
Tumblr media
• Bakugo's crush on you started innocently enough - he begrudgingly admired your work ethic and quirk control during training sessions. But then he noticed the way your (e/c) eyes squinted slightly when you concentrated, and the adorable crinkle of your nose when you were deep in thought, and suddenly his heart was exploding like one of his nicely aimed AP shots.
• Whenever you're in the vicinity, Bakugo can't help but sneak glances your way, only to whip his head around with a fierce scowl when someone (usually Kaminari) catches him staring. "I wasn't looking at that loser, you idiot!" he'll growl, tiny explosions sparking at his fingertips.
• Mina and Sero live for teasing Bakugo about his crush, much to his chagrin. They'll make over-exaggerated googly eyes at him whenever you walk by, or loudly proclaim things like, "There goes the love of Bakugo's life!" This inevitably results in Bakugo chasing them around, threatening bodily harm if they don't shut their "damn traps."
• There's a running bet among the class on when (or if) Bakugo will finally admit his feelings. Kaminari has money on "Never, he's too proud." Mina is convinced he'll blurt it out in a fit of rage someday. Kirishima just wants his bro to be happy.
• In the rare moments when Bakugo musters the courage to talk to you, he instantly reverts to a flustered, stuttering mess. His ears burn bright red as he tries (and fails) to act casual, inevitably resorting to angry yelling to cover up his embarrassment. "Quit staring at me like that, (L/N)! Don't you have better things to do than bother me?"
• Despite his gruff exterior, Bakugo is incredibly protective of you. If anyone so much as looks at you the wrong way, they'll find themselves on the receiving end of his explosive fury. He insists it's just because you're a fellow hero-in-training and he refuses to let his talents be outshone, but the class knows the truth.
• There's a notebook buried deep in Bakugo's room where he's meticulously analyzed all your quirk's capabilities, strong points, and areas for improvement. In the margins, doodles of your face and little explosions shaped like hearts decorate the pages. If anyone ever found it, he'd simply combust from mortification.
• During particularly intense battles or training exercises, Bakugo finds himself pushing harder than ever before, determined to impress you with his skills. Afterwards, he'll try to play it cool, like your presence had no effect on him whatsoever. But the glow of pride on his face when you compliment his power is unmistakable.
• You, precious reader, remain delightfully oblivious to Bakugo's inner turmoil. You see him as a passionate classmate and respected rival, making his crush on you all the more endearing (and frustrating) for the explosive boy. The rest of Class 1-A watches on in amusement, waiting for the inevitable explosion when Bakugo's feelings finally reach critical mass.
• No matter how much he growls and glares, at the end of the day Bakugo is an awkward teenage boy stumbling through his first real crush. And while his methods are unorthodox (and often involve yelling), his feelings for you are as bright and dazzling as one of his explosive blasts, lighting up the sky for all to see.

• I feel like if you gained his. Trust you and Crosshair would be deadly on the battlefield- like he’d do the thing where he’d steady his riffle on your shoulder
• Jesse and Hardcase would beg you to show them some moves with your lightsaber, and honestly they aren’t terrible
• Braiding Tup and/or Hunters hair for fun. That’s it just think about it.
• You absolutely begged Rex if you could help to bleach his hair- finally giving in and needing a touch up he agrees to let you help. You don’t know how it’s happened but bleach is literally everywhere
• You and a few others were so excited to help the Wolfpack paint the “Plo’s Bro’s” and were so proud to stand next to Wolffe as you showed Master Plo for the first time
• Lake days with the 501st- just imagine. This I think will be my next WIP
• To say that you weren’t the best wingman for your brothers was an understatement you were amazing- Hardcase wouldn’t be anywhere without you. Playing match maker is so fun for the Clones and seeing them embarrassed is even better
• Rex can sleep anywhere. You’ve found him in so many different places just slumped. It’s become a tradition now that if you see him you’ll curl up by his side and get some rest and vice-versa (cause if Rex falls asleep you know you should be too)
• In your defense how could you not take those loth kittens back to Coruscant with you? Fox was a wonderful babysitter as you figured out where they could go
• You introduced wrecker to markers and now you take turns coloring small doodles on each others arms. Wreckers gotten pretty good over the last few times, and it’s alway fun to see the huge clone in training with a sleeve of colorful doodles
• You, Boil, and Sinker have always talked about taking you to get your first tattoo and you couldn’t agree more- Wolffe has to be the mom and shut it down pretty fast but one day soon it will happen
• Tech will teach you all these strategies to different games knowing at when you keep practicing he’ll have some good competition
• He has regretted this decision ever since you beat him once and his brothers and yourself hang it over his head all the time
• Delta Squad loves having joint mission with you and your battalion- Scorch can count on something interesting going down and Boss gets more gray hairs by the second in all the situations he has to get his squad out of
• So so so many nicknames it’s insane. They vary from who it is with Cody and Wolffes battalion keeps it sweet and simple with kid, vod’ika and Cyare where as groups like the 501st, Delta Squad and the Corries have unusual and creative names like Scrappy, shorty, and others
• Cold nights and everyone’s having a huge sleepover in the barracks- sneaking in and never sleeping more soundly then you have before
Hmm guess I could go back to my WIP but if you want a Part. 2 I’d be happy to make one!

"You're freezing."
The words meet your ears before two warm palms even touch your chilled arms. Leaning back into a lean, tattooed chest, your eyes slip shut as a soft, content sigh leaves your lips.
"It doesn't feel that cold," you murmur with a slight grin, letting your eyes open to glance up at the not-so-disappointed look on Law's face. You tilt your head a little more, letting the bridge and tip of your nose brush against his goatee before you ask, "What time is it?"
Law hums softly, moving his chin after your gentle nuzzle to press a warm kiss to your just as chilled forehead. "Late," he replies, moving his hands from your arms to wrap his own around your now slightly shivering form. "...Come to bed?" He asks after a moment, looking down at you with a hopeful look in his eyes.
You tease back, "only if you're actually going to be in bed with me," as you let your eyes shut again, the tips of your fingers brushing over the tattoos on his forearms, tracing his skin with little I love you's. He squeezes you gently with a low chuckle before nuzzling his nose into the side of your face.
"Of course I will. Just you and me tonight."
Your eyes open as you turn in his arms, your own wrapping around his waist as your cheek meets his chest just over his heart. "Promise?" You ask softly. He hums again, a small, loving smile washing over his lips as he presses a handful of quick kisses to the top of your head.
"I promise."

you never really took getting sick seriously. it didn’t happen often, and when it did, it usually passed within a couple days. it started out as the sniffles. you thought it was just a cold, so you went and got some cold medicine from the infirmary. it wasn’t something you thought was worth telling your captain. you made it through the day completing all your tasks without any problem, thankful to fall into bed that night. the next morning, you woke up with a raging headache. it was undoubtedly from all the sinus pressure that had set in while you were asleep. you were hoping to sleep off the sickness, but instead it presented a new symptom. the headache. still, you didn’t tell your captain. there was no reason to bother him about a headache when you could just go into the infirmary and get some more medicine. so that’s what you did. you took the same cold medicine as yesterday, and took some with you for later on in the day. as the day went on, you could feel your symptoms growing worse. the stuffy nose turned into constant sneezing. the drainage turned into a bit of a nasty cough, and the sinus pressure turned into puffy watery eyes. for a second, going to see your captain crossed your mind, but it was so late now. so you went to bed, hoping to sleep off whatever ailment you had caught, once again.
you woke up in a cold sweat. your bedsheets and blankets stuck to you, and chills had overtaken your body. your body ached. the dim light pouring in from under the door hurt to even look at. your head felt like it had been split open. the sounds of your crewmates chattering and walking up and down the corridors getting ready to work was amplified, and was not aiding your headache in the slightest. it was time to get up. it was time to go to work, but you seemed to be almost bed ridden. you cursed yourself. you knew as soon as your captain noticed you weren't present he would come looking for you. he was not going to be happy that you failed to tell him that you were sick. until then, you decided that you were going to get some rest. you closed your eyes, and let the darkness consume you.
you spent the next hour in and out of sleep. no matter what position you were in, everything hurt. you could hear footsteps approaching your room. a knock sounded on the metal door, making you groan a weak come in, at whoever was at the door. you knew who was at the door before they even knocked. it was law.
the harsh white light from the hallway spilled into your room, making you shield your eyes. the light was blinding, and just as you thought it couldn't get worse, law flicked on the light switch in the room. "please turn the light off," you croaked out at your captain to which he complied, mumbling a soft apology. he walked over to your bed, looking down at your sick figure. "why didn't you tell me you were sick?" he tutted, reaching down to feel your forehead. he sucked in a breath at the feeling of your burning skin. his hands were cold, and you leaned into the soothing touch. "you have a fever," he stated the obvious. he removed his hand from your head and let out a sigh before turning on his heel and leaving, wordlessly. shutting the door behind him, the darkness of the room brought relief to the pounding in your head. however, it didn't last long. a few minutes later your captain was back. he had a wet washcloth in hand, a thermometer, some medicine, and some water in hand. he pulled up a chair next to your bed, laying the cool washcloth across your head. the coolness soothed the pounding just enough for you to be able to relax a bit. "open," law commanded you, and you complied, opening your mouth. "under your tongue," he commanded once again, as he put the thermometer in your mouth. you sat there with the thermometer in your mouth for a minute before law checked it, "102 degrees. you really should have come and gotten me whenever you first started feeling sick. we could have avoided this," he lectured. a quiet, i'm sorry, left your raw throat. law looked down at you, pitifully. "drink this water, and take these," law opened the water bottle, and poured two pills into his palm. he helped you sit up, his cool hands resting on your back. his touch almost relieved the aching in your back, rubbing light circles as you took the medicine. law helped you lay back down, fixing the blankets around you. "now rest," he told you as he reached over to the bookshelf across from the bed and grabbed a book, "i'll be here if you need anything," he told you. having no energy to protest, you closed your eyes and let the black consume your aching body.

The Polar Tang had been under the water for about a month now. Never in a million years did (Y/n) think she’d be in the middle of the ocean, let alone underneath the surface in a submarine, 395 meters down. She had joined the Heart Pirates about 6 months ago and was just now getting used to being underwater for such a long amount of time. She had been having continuous headaches she assumed to be due to the pressure of being underwater for such a long time. They would come and go, some days worse than others. Today was one of the worst days. The chores had been done, and all the tasks were complete. Most of the crew decided to lounge around, hanging out with one another. To (Y/n) it seemed as if all corners of the submarine were occupied, and they all had too much noise to focus. Trying to find some peace and quiet, she made her way down to the boiler room, letting the laughter and chatter of her crew fade as she departed. It was not the first time she had done this, in fact this was her little secret. No one liked to come down here unless it was included in the work that they had to do. Pipes lined the walls, and the low hum of engines from a few doors over buzzed through the room. Finally at peace, she took a deep breath and exhaled.
A week ago, (Y/n) had stashed a book and a blanket down here, along with a pillow and a cushion she found in storage. She tucked herself into the corner, and sat down on the box that had placed the cushion on. She pulled out the book she was reading which was just a volume of some medical book Captain Law had in the library. Principles of Neurology. It was not an interesting read in the slightest, but there really was not a wide variety to choose from in the Surgeon of Death’s library.
Her mind started to wander as she flipped page by page trying to follow along the best she could with what she was reading. An entity of “frailty” has been conceived to encompass the sum of breakdown in multiple organ systems… She read the sentence over a few times. She made a mental note to get a book that was relatively interesting on the next island that they stopped on. Letting out a sigh, she continued to try to read but ended up drifting away with her thoughts. She was still relatively new to the crew, she had been with them for 6 months. Long enough to get comfortable with her crewmates, but not so long that they knew everything about her.
(Y/n) joined the Heart Pirates after aiding Law with intel that he needed about someone he was “researching.” During the process of this, she got caught up with the conflicts of whoever Law was looking into, and was taken hostage. While in hostage, the person pressed her for information of who was after them, how she knew all of their info, who was her informant? Despite the pressure, and the fear of looming death, she did not give out any answers. She chose against ratting out the Heart Pirates. At that moment, she was sure she was gonna die either way. If she gave out the information, the Heart Pirates were sure to come after her. If they were to get a hold of her, she’d have to answer to the Surgeon of Death. However, if she didn’t give out the answers, the man who was holding her hostage could kill her. So naturally, she picked the lesser of the two evils. Her mouth was staying shut. Like hell was she going to answer to Trafalgar Law of all people. She sat back and recalled that day.
She was held in a damp, dim, humid room. She wasn’t too sure on how long she had been there, but it was probably half a day. The interrogation started out like all of them did with questions and threats. After the first few hours of not speaking punches began to be thrown, and weapons were soon pulled out. Somebody’s hasty, she thought to herself as the interrogation took turns for the worst faster than she had anticipated. It was clear the man she had sold out was in a hurry. He was scared. How he found out it was her that sold his information, she didn’t know. All she knew was that this guy found out, and now he was mad and had a dagger. He kept questioning, each unanswered question he got a couple cuts in. Midquestion, a commotion outside the door started. Yelling ensued, then things breaking and then a panicked, “Boss, we have visitors.” The man interrogating you paused his mild torture, faltering as he stepped towards the door, like he was weighing his options. Would he stay in this room, or deal with the inevitable of being confronted by the man who seemed out his information, Trafalgar Law. He turned to the girl who was sitting in the chair. Her hands were tied in front of her, and her feet were tied together. “You,” He pointed an accusatory finger, “this is all your fault!” and you know, he was right, it was all her fault. She gave the intel for a very pretty penny, but how was she suppose to know she was going to get kidnapped and interrogated. How did they even know it was her who gave the intel? Questions zoomed through her head as he stormed towards her with the dagger in his hand. He held it to her throat. “I oughta kill you right here, right now. A life for a life.” The cool edge of the shaky blade pressed into her skin, nicking her in the slightest due to his unsteady hands. Then, with a sharp slice, her warm sticky blood poured down her neck. An involuntary gasp ripped from her throat as she felt the blood gather at the neckline of her shirt, soaking it. This is it, she thought, Here’s where I die. But before he could cut any deeper, the door to the room burst open. A warm yellow light illuminated the room from the hall outside. A tall figure stood in the doorway. It stormed over to the man, grabbing him by the back of his collar, turning him around. The warm light from the hallway casted across the face of the figure, it was none other than Trafalgar Law. Law craned down to the man’s height, paying the woman tied to the chair no mind, “I believe you have something I want,” he said in a low gruff voice. The man trembled in his grasp. “Now why don’t we take a little trip to your laboratory,” Trafalgar Law dragged the man out of the room, leaving the woman in there alone. It was a quick few minutes before she realized she was gonna have to free herself, and this was her only chance.
She looked around the room and spotted the dagger that the man had dropped near the doorway. Seeing her chance of escape, she scooted the chair towards the entrance. She grabbed the knife with her feet. Reaching down with her tied hands, she cut the ropes that bound her. Whoever tied her up did a really shitty job. Finally free, she prepared herself to escape. Dagger in hand, the silver of the blade glinting as she gazed upon the object. She couldn’t help but notice the blood on the edge from the man attempting to slit her throat. She tried to pay no mind to the wet sticky pain that was starting to raidiate down her neck and into her collarbones. Pushing the pain aside, she made her way through the place, careful to avoid anyone who might be lurking. Once she made it out, she let out a sigh of relief. Barefoot and bleeding, she decided she should probably take the alleyways home. She would hate to scare oncoming bypassers, or god forbid someone contact the authorities. Slipping into the alley, she started to make her way home before a voice cut through the night, “And where do you think you’re going?” Her head whipped around, gripping the dagger that she held in her hand. That voice was the one of Trafalgar Law. She met the man’s golden eyes. She quickly took in his appearance. When she first gave him the intel she had noticed his height, but she also wasn’t fearing for her life at the time. The weight of impending doom really added a foot or two to his appearance. “I didn’t tell them anything,” she breathed. “I didn’t say a word, I swear.” The words tumbled out of her mouth, and her voice didn’t sound like hers as it bounced off the alleyway walls. He took a step closer to her, “I know, but I still can’t let you go. You’re hurt, let me look at it,” he stepped closer. Her mouth felt as if it were filled with cotton. She took a step back, “I’m fine,” she gritted while taking one more step back, trying to put enough distance between them just so she’d have a chance of running away. She was just interrogated and borderline tortured, if she had known what the intentions were behind the wanted intel, she would’ve denied the offer. Besides, it wasn’t like the intel was collected for malice in the first place. (Y/n) had a goal, and that goal was to collect the most information she could, and write it all down into a book. This extended from histories of islands, pirates, doctors, scientists, government officials. Few people knew about her knowledges of the world and it’s inhabitants. Every now and then she would get someone wanting some information, and if the price was right she’d give it to them. She never thought it would lead to this, cornered in an alleyway by the Surgeon of Death himself. “I’m a doctor,” Law’s voice echoed off the walls as he slowly stepped forward towards her, like he was trying to approach a scared stray, careful not to spook it. His hands were held out in front of him, as if he meant no harm, however the word ‘DEATH’ tattooed across both his hands stated otherwise.
“I know good and well who and what you are.” Unintentional venom laced her words. She knew all about the reputation that seemed to proceed him. She had done her research whenever she came across his wanted poster a year ago. She never thought she would cross paths with him, he was just another name in her book for the longest time.
“Then you know it’s in your best interest if you just come with me.” With that last sentence from him, she falsely dropped her guard, muttering a small okay. She didn’t think this tactic was going to work, but as soon as she saw him relax his stance, she bolted. Running through the alleyway with no shoes seemed to be a difficult task, impeding her usual speed. Trying her best to avoid glass and nails, she darted in between the buildings, and in and out of the alleyways. She had the advantage, she knew this city. The poorly maintained asphalt stung, but she had no other choice but to ignore it if she wanted to get away.
She finally was able to duck behind a building after what felt like an eternity of turning down random streets and alleys. She leaned against the bricks to catch her breath, gripping the dagger in her hand. Her heartbeat was in her ears, she could feel the blood rushing through every vein. She stilled and tried to stay quiet, the only sound leaving her was a shaky exhale. The adrenaline slightly wore off as the silence of the night settled. The events of the night really started to set into her body. Her arms and legs aches, her lungs burned, her throat was on fire. Despite the pain setting in, she thought she had gotten away by some miracle, but a second later the same low voice she was running from bounced around her again. “You really think you could get away from me that easily?” His voice echoed, giving it a more sinister sound than what he had intended. She met his eyes. She didn’t know if it was the adrenaline making her analyze her situation in full detail, or if she was just delusional, but she found herself taking in every detail of his presence. The eyes that held her eye contact were golden. He had a lean figure, and was undoubtedly in shape. The moonlight poured over his figure, casting an intimidating shadow as he now stood in front of her. She noted the yellow button up that was halfway buttoned, showing a glimpse of the tattoo on his chest. He had on jeans that had spots on them, and a white hat that shared those same spots. Draped over his shoulders was a long navy coat. If she wasn’t running from him, she could’ve admitted that he was quite an attractive man, but in her head he was trying to catch her so he could kill her.
Her grip on the handle of the dagger tightened before hurling it in Law’s direction. The blade rotated in the air before hitting Law in the shoulder. The way the dagger was thrown would’ve been deemed as impressive by him if he wasn’t on the receiving end of the throw. He quickly pulled the dagger out of his shoulder, and threw it to the ground before chasing after her, once again. This time she was only able to make it a few blocks before he finally tackled her to the ground against the rough concrete. She felt the skin of her knees and elbows scrape against the asphalt, surely breaking the skin. Heart racing, and body trembling, the woman underneath him had no choice but to accept her fate. “You’ll be coming with me,” he growled at her, bitterness lacing his tone. He pulled her up and off the ground then led her to the dock on the bay. His grip was more than enough of a reminder that there was nowhere she could go.
The walk to the submarine was silent, and the man next to her was not giving off a very welcoming energy considering he was taking her against her will. Blood slightly bled through his shirt where the dagger had hit him. He walked her down the dock, and onto a yellow submarine that had ‘DEATH’ written on the side of it. Well how lovely is that? She thought to herself. His firm grip on her upper arm never faltered as he guided her down the hallways of the submarine. Several of his crew members moved aside to make way for the two of them to walk down the hall. It was like a walk of shame. Once they reached the end of the hall, he opened a door. The sterile smell of rubbing alcohol and latex filled her nose, as the bright white lights poured out of the room. It was an examination room. “Sit,” he pointed to the examination table. Having no other choice, that’s exactly what she did, she sat.
Without another word, he started inspecting her injuries. He lifted her chin to get a better look at her neck. “This will need stitches,” he said flatly. He examined the other scrapes and cuts on her body. The adrenaline wore off long ago, and pain radiated from her toes to her head. He cleaned the area and prepped his needle. The stitching process was painful. She sharply inhaled when he stuck the needle through. “Be still,” he commanded, “It’ll only hurt worse if you move.” She had to force herself not to flinch at the needle stitching up her wound. Finally having her still, and in front of him, Law couldn’t deny that (Y/n) was very attractive. The way her hair framed her face, the way she held herself with such self assurance. Fear still resided in her pretty eyes, as she stayed as still as possible while he stitched. He ended up doing seven stitches, the cut was sure to leave a scar to adorn her pretty neck. He cleaned the other wounds and bandaged them up. It was silent in that exam room, and then finally he broke the silence. “Why did you run away?” He asked her. She looked at him like asked the stupidest question, and in some way he did. Who wouldn’t run away from the Surgeon of Death? His reputation alone was enough to make a grown man fall to his knees, and she had literally just seen a grown man fall to his knees at the hand of him. After weighing her response, she broke the silence, “Dying wasn’t on my agenda once I got out of there,” her voice quiet, but not weak.
“Why would I kill you?” He asked her. Again, another incredulous look was thrown at him. Was he not aware of the grumbling that went along with his name?
“For knowing too much?” She answered, in a duh tone.
“You don’t know anymore than you did whenever I approached you for intel. I had some of my men go through your files, you have some very impressive intel on multiple pirates including the warlords and emperors. Where do you get all that?”
“Verified sources,” she simply answered, not letting onto her process of gathering information. There was another silence before she broke it this time. “Listen, if you’re going to kill me, just go ahead and make it quick. Medical torture really doesn’t sound appealing.”
He chuckled lightly at this, but it was not one of humor, “I’m not gonna kill you, but I’m definitely not letting you go either. I know what you’re working on, and I want your intel. Join my crew.” It wasn’t a question, it was a demand, and by the way he was talking to her that was very obvious.
“What’s in it for me?” She inquired like she had a choice.
“You can do some more of your research, and we could use your intel,” He stated like it was obvious. “Everybody wins.” Unfortunately, he was right. Going island to island would be great for her research, and it would give her an opportunity to get first count perspective about the things she was writing about. For a pirate, the information that she held would be very helpful, they would never go into a situation blind. However, being a pirate was not appealing. If she joined the Heart Pirates, she’d surely be wanted, especially with the information that she had collected over the years. She had been able to keep the things that she knew on the low, only occasionally being visited by certain people who wanted intel, but the intel always came at a price. It was a very hush-hush thing. Putting aside the fact that she knew more than most about what was going on in the world, she was just an ordinary woman with no devil fruit, no haki, how was she supposed to be a wanted woman? After mulling over his words, she finally spoke up, “I don’t think you know what I do. I’m gathering information to add to a book. I am not a pirate. I don’t have any fighting techniques, I would die as soon as we hit the battlefield. I will slow you down, no information is worth dying for, or putting your crew in danger for,” she argued, trying to convince herself if she made herself look like a burden, she would be let go.
“Your knowledge outweighs your weaknesses,” he stated. He wasn’t budging on this matter. “Join my crew, and you’ll get to gain more knowledge about the world. Think about the intel you could get if you were traveling the seas?” Once again, he did make a very good point.
“What if I say no?” She asked, wondering if he’d confirm her suspicions. A pregnant silence fell over the room again. She knew she wasn’t getting out of this one, and this just might be the death of her.
“You don’t want to say no.” He left it at that, and finished cleaning her wounds and patching her up.
That was six months ago. Six months of being on this submarine. Six months ago and she still didn’t feel as if she belonged, still felt as if she served no purpose. Sure after the first month, her crew mates started to adore her with her little jokes and random fun facts, but what was she really doing out on the open ocean? She sat there pondering until a voice ripped her out of her head. “You enjoying the Principles of Neurology?” It was her dear captain. She didn’t know he had been standing there, watching her unmovingly stare at the same page. She looked up at him, and then back down at the page she had been staring at for what felt like forever. “Sure, I’m having a blast learning about…The Neurology of Aging,” she read out the chapter name.
“What are you doing down here?” her captain asked her, curiosity lacing his tone.
“This is my secret hiding place, don’t tell the others,” she mused at him. Their relationship was very professional, and in fact for the first month and a half she was on the Polar Tang, she hardly said a word to him outside of him asking for information about various people and places. It’s not like she had a choice or not to be on the damned submarine. It still didn’t feel quite right to be there, but in the past few months she had started to let her guard down. She always addressed her captain with a professional tone, but every now and then she’d throw in a bit of a playful tone, and most times he would entertain her antics. “What are you doing down here?” she asked. She looked at her captain, taking in his appearance. She couldn’t lie, he was a very attractive man. Whenever she would have thoughts like this she would kick herself. She would remind herself who he was. He was her captain, and that’s all that was.
He looked down at her, discreetly looking her up and down, “I was looking for you. I would like to discuss some information about an island we will be arriving to in the next few days. There is an epidemic there and I will need all the information you have on the island, and the citizens so that we can take the proper precautions upon arrival.” His voice echoed off the metal walls.
“Oh okay, let me go up and grab my notes,” She said as she got up from her box, folding the blanket and placing the Neurology book on top.
“Meet me in my office,” he ordered, as he turned to go up the ladder. She made her way into her bunk and pulled out a notebook and a binder filled with stuff about all the islands she knew about. They were organized by North Blue, South Blue, East Blue, West Blue, Grandline, and New World. She gathered all her things and made her way towards Captain Law’s office.
She entered the Captain’s Quarters with a binder that was bursting at the seams, holding all her notes. As she walked in she took in her surroundings. It wasn’t the first time she had been in the Captain’s Quarters, but everytime she had been in there it was only for a brief period, usually dropping off files and papers from her research. Papers were stacked high on his desk, and there were files and books scattered across the room. It was messy, but it was not dirty. The room smelled like paper, ink, and Law.
She made her way over to his desk and started to flip through her binder. The binder was as full as it could be, and while the different places were organized, the contents of the binder within her neatly divided sections were scrawls of writing and small sketches here and there. “So, where we going?” She asked, beaming. She loved talking about all the things she had researched. She loved gathering information and putting it all together. Her goal was to write a full encyclopedia on the world and maybe one day she could write about the One Piece, if it was ever found. Without looking up, Law answered, “Bronze Island.” She was aware of the location, and she was also very aware of the disease that spread through the island, almost 60% of cases were fatal.
She flipped to the section where the island’s information was found, hesitantly inhaling before stating, “Uhh… I don’t think you want to go there.” Law looked up at her for the first time since she had entered his office, feigning annoyance behind his eyes. “I do think I want to go there,” He countered. She didn’t argue with him, he was the captain after all, but this island was being raided by pestilence.
“This disease has a high mortality rate, and it’s more contagious than the common cold. It’s an airborne disease. It spread mostly through bodily fluids,” she spouted off. “The island has poor air quality which just adds to the mix, making the citizens’ immune systems weaker. The island’s government is riddled with corrupt officials. There have been many uprisings staged, but none of them have aided in the ridding of the corrupt officials,” She set the paper in front of her captain. “If you have any questions, let me know. I’ll leave the rest of these pages to you,” she took a stack of papers out of the binder and laid them on his desk. There must have been at least 20 of them. The pages consisted of information about the epidemic, information on the citizens, as well the island officials. Law looked through the papers, before setting them back down. She used that as her cue to leave, and went towards the door, “Just let me know when you’re done with them.”
“Where are you going?” He asked her as if it were normal for her to stay. He never asked her to stay after giving him her research. He usually just looked at them and returned them. They shared eye contact for a split second before he answered her unasked question of why. “I’m going to need your help on this one.” Without replying, she turned back towards him and sat in a chair that was in front of his desk. The chair was hardly broken in, and it was obvious her captain didn’t really enjoy visitors all that much in his study, unless necessary. A dull sense of pride bubbled up inside of her, hearing that he needed her help. For a second she was able to push aside the feeling of not belonging on this ship. Her captain picked up the pages that she had given him and handed them back to her. “Let’s start with the island officials.” (Y/n) flipped through the papers getting to the officials section of her research, and started spouting off the names and the roles they played within the island’s government. She didn’t know what her captain was planning, nor did she think she wanted to know what he was planning. She was still new to this pirate thing, new to the notion that sometimes some people will get hurt in the crossfire. Hell, she was almost one of those people.
Brushing off her thoughts she skimmed across the paper, coming across some grammatical errors. “Captain Law?” A comfortable softness laced her tone as he caught her eyes. He had never heard her voice sound so sweet, so warm. His heart almost melted. “Could I borrow a pencil?” She asked him, holding his gaze with hers. He mumbled a quick of course before holding the object towards her. She reached out to take it, the tips of her fingers brushing his. When they touched, a jolt of electricity shocked them both. His golden eyes met hers once again, but lingered for a second too long this time. Long enough for her eyes to travel down to his lips, and then back up to his eyes. It felt as if time stood still. It felt like it was the first time she had really taken a good look at her captain since that night 3 months ago. She pulled her attention away, muttering a quick thank you as she took the pencil, hoping the lighting in his office didn’t capture the slight pink dusting her cheeks. She internally kicked herself for letting her eyes travel, for letting herself put him on a pedestal in her mind, even if it was only for a split second. It was wrong in so many ways, she couldn’t let herself think about him in that way. She couldn’t let her guard down. Mutually ignoring their little moment, they both resumed to what they were doing.
After about 2 hours of going through the information about the island and it’s government, as well as its citizens, they wrapped up their work. “Would you like me to leave you these papers?” She asked him. Without looking up from all of the notes that he had taken, he let a single, “Yes,” fall from his lips. She nodded, and put the papers on his desk. “If you have any questions, you know where to find me,” As she was about to make her exit, she heard her name being called. She turned her head to look at her captain, unintentionally savoring the way her name rolled off his tongue. “Thank you for the help,” he said smoothly, hesitating before continuing, “And if you ever need a place to hide, don’t hesitate to come in here to read or to finish your research.” She smiled and nodded her head as the feeling of belonging settled in her core for the second time that night. “Thank you, if you ever need anymore help I’m more than happy to do so,” she replied trying to sound as professional as possible in order to combat the warm feeling that was starting to bubble in her stomach. She turned on her heel and made her way back to her bunk.
That night, against her will, her thoughts were consumed by her captain and the moment they had shared. She felt guilty feeling this way, it wasn’t right to feel borderline giddy as she recalled such minor events. Sure, maybe their fingers touched, and maybe he made her feel like she belonged for once, but it was a moral dilemma just waiting to happen. Internally, she berated herself for even thinking about her captain in that way. Despite her self berating, she let her thoughts drift to her captain as she stared at the metal ceiling. There was a comfortable air around him, one she didn’t like to acknowledge that often. He felt safe, but she knew he could be dangerous. He seemed sane, but she knew he wasn’t. She was aware the longer she stayed with the Heart Pirates the more she let her guard down, and that included Law. She surely was trusted if he was offering to share his quiet space. She thought about how he offered it to her, with softer words than his usual tone. No matter how hard she tried to shake the doctor from her thoughts she couldn’t. That night, she went to sleep with Trafalgar Law taking up the space where her dreams usually lay.
Down the hall, in the captain quarters, Law mulled over what he had said to her before she left the room. It wasn’t like him to just offer someone a place in his study like that. Law worked alone. It was his space. That was the one place he was guaranteed to get some peace and quiet. What was even more strange was that he didn’t even regret offering his space to her. In fact, he was hoping that she would take him up on it and spend her time there instead of in the boiler room. He pushed his thoughts away, rationalizing his offer as just an excuse to gather more of the information she held. If she were to come to the office for peace and quiet, it was inevitable for her to work there too. He told himself that was the real reason he had offered it, rather not acknowledging the warmth he felt when he was around her. He pushed his thoughts away and buried himself in his work for the night, every now and then thinking about his crew member. The feeling that was tugging in his chest would have to be for another day.

IVY — TRAFALGAR LAW
Tumblr media Tumblr media
trafalgar law + Oh, I can’t stop you putting roots in my dreamland content: gn! reader, canon-typical descriptions of violence, references to law’s past notes: thanks so much for your kind words! hope you enjoy this drabble!
request a character and prompt for my spotify wrapped event here!
Tumblr media
law is no stranger to nightmares. he’s accustomed to jolting awake, staring wide-eyed at the ceiling, chest heaving with anxiety and fear. he tries to remember what his parents used to tell him to calm his racing heart: inhale for four seconds, hold for seven, exhale in a count of eight.
in. hold. out.
in. hold. out.
law doesn’t sleep a lot anymore, always locked in his office late at night, poring over books about anatomy and medicine and illnesses. it’s mostly because he’s working, the insomnia, but he knows there’s a part of him that’s almost scared to sleep — that doesn’t want to see looped images of dead bodies, feel the heat of erupting flames, hear the sounds of gunshots.
law watches as you and penguin duck under a round of marine gunfire, diving for cover behind a building. civilians draw their shutters closed. the crew’s gotten what they need from the town, now it’s a matter of getting out.
you sprint out from your hiding place, penguin hot on your heels. there’s another rain of bullets and law’s stomach lurches when he sees red dribbling down your arm, skin grazed by the bullet. he needs to get you two out of there now.
law lifts a hand. “room. shambles.” he switches you and penguin out for an empty crate and just like that, the two of you are standing safe on the polar tang’s deck. you’re both breathing hard, penguin resting his hands on his knees. you grab at your arm and law can tell that whatever adrenaline has been pumping through your veins is starting to wear off; you wince at the cut on your arm, your palm stained with blood.
law gets the crew mobilized fast, everyone hustling to get the below deck so the polar tang can submerge. law swiftly and efficiently takes down the remaining marines, heading down below as the submarine sinks below the water.
he finds you heading for the washroom. he calls your name and you whirl around quickly. “captain,” you greet him.
“follow me.” law makes sure his tone leaves no room for argument and you shuffle behind him as he walks to the operating room.
you frown when you enter the room. “captain, i really don’t think my injury warrants an opera—”
he sighs heavily. “i’m not operating. just want to get somewhere more sterile. sit on the table.”
you obey easily and law opens up a cabinet, grabbing hydrogen peroxide, a roll of bandages, and antibiotic cream. he also picks up a sterilized pair of tweezers. when he turns around, you’re already shrugging out of your boiler suit, twitching as the fabric rubs against your wound.
law approaches, doing is best to keep his eyes on the wound and not on the exposed skin you revealed. when you joined the crew, law had never been more thankful to himself for making the boiler suits uniform. he doesn’t know if he could focus otherwise.
he examines the wound, looking closely to see if there are any bits of debris or fabric stuck in it. when he doesn’t see anything, law soaks a sterile pad in hydrogen peroxide and presses it against your graze. you make a high-pitched, wounded sound that cuts right through law’s heart and he tries his best to tenderly but thoroughly clean the wound. you flinch, gritting your teeth and hissing, “you really must hate me, captain.”
you let out a pained laugh that lets law know you were joking but your statement still makes him frown. if only you knew just how much the opposite was true.
law sighs again, wrapping the bandage roll around your arm and snapping off a piece, securing it. you test the motion of your arm and law asks, “too tight?”
“no, it’s good.” you hop off the table. “thanks, doc.”
“i’ll need to check that every few days,” he tells you, “to watch for infection.”
“sounds good! guess we’ll be seeing a lot of each other.” you shoot him a cheeky smile and thank him again as you slip out of the room. law is rooted to his spot, feeling heat climb up his neck. you faint scent lingers — cinnamon shampoo and apple soap.
law’s heart skips a beat.
late into the night, law sits at his desk in his office, doing is best trying to focus on the medical text in front of him. he thinks about the smoothness of your skin and the way your eyes curve into half-moons when you smile. he drags a hand down his face.
he needs to focus. he needs to not think about you. he needs to think about bones and hairline fractures and how fast the human heart can go before it—
law hears footsteps and he knows it’s you, beckoning you in even before you can announce your arrival and knock on the door. you swing it open, smiling brightly at him. gods, he swears you hold moonbeams in your grin.
“right as always,” you say as you close the door behind yourself.
“do you need something? is it your arm?”
you shake your head. “no, just thought i’d check up on you. knew you’d still be up.”
law offers a wry smile. “no rest of the wicked.”
“i’d agree with you, but you’re not wicked, captain.”
law raises an eyebrow in surprise. he is wicked — it’s a known fact. everything he touches is destroyed eventually. when he doesn’t reply, you continue, “you look out for everyone, you’re a doctor for gods’ sakes.”
“so? bad people can do good things.”
your moonbeam smile falls and your expression turns stern. “you care for us, captain, all of us in a way that no one truly wicked ever would. don’t talk about yourself that way. ”
his heart’s in his throat and he’s desperately trying to swallow it down. “okay.”
you nod firmly and then bring your hand up to hide your yawning mouth. law tells you, “you should get some rest.”
“i came here to get you to go to sleep.”
“don’t worry about me.”
you cross your arms. “i’m not going to sleep until you do.”
law levels you with a stare and you gaze right back, unwavering in your conviction. you two stare for a good few seconds. he can see the way your eyes shimmer. it doesn’t seem that you’re backing down. law breaks the connection and sighs, “fine. let’s go.”
he puts away his books and papers and the two of you head down the hallway. he tries to guide you to your room first but you say, “nope. i want to make sure you actually go to sleep.” so you head for his quarters first.
you come to his door and you say, “you better get some sleep. a healthy, well-rested captain is vital for an efficient and successful crew.”
“i know.”
he basks in the comfortable silence that falls over the pair of you. then, you yawn again and he orders you off to bed yourself. you smile sleepily at him, your eyes form crescents again as you do so. “alright, i’m off then.” you turn and begin to walk away. over your shoulder, you call softly, “good night, law.”
he bids you good night and steps inside his room, door shutting behind him. it’s in there, as he’s changing into pajamas, that he realizes.
it’s the first time you said ‘law,’ not ‘captain.’
your voice repeats like a record in his head. law. law. law. his heart thunders in his chest.
for the first time in a long time, law isn’t afraid to fall asleep. instead of the screaming nightmares he usually faces, he’s met with a different image as he drifts off.
in a tender, hazy light, law dreams of you.

TENDER
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Trafalgar Law x GN!Reader
Warnings: Fluff, comfort, Law is whipped but also bad at feelings
Sometimes Law thinks he dreamed you.
When you thread your fingers through his hair after a long day, massaging his scalp while whispering sweet praise, or absentmindedly caress his knuckles, leaving phantom kisses against his inked skin—he doesn’t think you’re real.
You come to him when he needs you most, as if you know he desires a comforting hand, a friendly word, and he melts into you every single time. His defenses shatter—the wall he’s constructed all this life comes tumbling down, and you hold him through the carnage.
You’re everything his heart secretly craves—so tender-hearted and caring, and wonderful—everything he feels he’s not.
And God, does he wonder what you see in him. Wonders how he manages to attract the kindest people when all he has to offer is practiced indifference. He doesn’t wear his heart on his sleeve, doesn’t voice the things he feels, but it doesn’t deter you, and despite how brilliant he is, Law can’t make sense of it. He could spend a lifetime trying to figure you out and would never even come close.
“What is going on in that pretty head of yours?” You inquire, your brow raised playfully as you stare down at him. “Can hear the gears in your head movin’.”
His head is in your lap, your soft fingers brush back mutinous strands of hair from his forehead, and he blinks up at you dumbly. It’s one of those rare peaceful evenings where the crew unwinds and breathes a sigh of relief as the Polar Tang slips through the sea, pushing you all towards your next destination with ease.
It takes a moment for your compliment to register—that pretty head of yours—and Law hates how his heart flutters. You say the most…outlandish things without considering their effect—flattery he never expected to like, but they always sound so lovely coming from you. The urge to look at anything but your pretty face almost overtakes him, but he fights his urges, keeps his dark eyes trained on you.
Instead, he arches a sharp brow at you and attempts to sound mildly offended, even though he’s certain you see right through him. “Pretty?”
You purse your lips, feigning thought.
“Would you prefer beautiful? Gorgeous?”
He rolls his eyes, but your soft teasing does little to calm the rapid beat of his unruly heart. When has anyone ever thought him pretty? Beautiful?
You say it as if it’s one of life’s simple truths, but he feels you’re much more deserving of such compliments, and he would shower you with them if he knew how to stop himself from biting his tongue.
Your free hand moves from its spot on his exposed chest, trailing upward until you’re softly cradling his jaw. You dip down, placing a tender kiss on his supple lips.
“Brains and beauty,” you murmur against his lips. “How lucky am I?”
I’m the lucky one, he thinks. To be cared for like this—to be treated like something worthy of being cherished and loved.
And maybe it’s the fear that makes the words catch in his throat, stops him from ripping out his bleeding heart and handing it to you.
He’s never had a good thing that lasted. Only fleeting moments of happiness, ripped right from under him just when he thinks tragedy can never reach him again. He’s lost so much already, and yet there’s always more to lose.
But you continue to smile at him, kiss years of self-loathing away, share your warmth and affection for as long as he accepts it, and Law allows himself to become a little hopeful—thinks maybe you’ll be the first good thing he gets to keep.

A/N: I feel like this kinda got away from me, but not in the "I wrote too much" way and more so the "I feel I deviated too far from the original prompt and am almost certain I was possessed while writing this" way. Despite that, I hope you enjoyed! I love love LOVE writing soft love for Law so this is a PSA to flood my requests with fluffy prompts!!!

***Important Note***
Hello my dears, I’m sorry for going on hiatus HAHA, I was super busy with school and work, plus on top of that I had major personal issues that were just too overwhelming to deal with at the time; and I couldn’t even write at all until I got it solved. I was under a lot of stress and was feeling really down about a lot of things in my life so I stopped writing for a little while. But I’m doing better now and I started writing again! So here’s the long awaited chapter three :))) I’m legit just gonna be turning this into a series so stay tuned for more parts! I appreciate your support and patience! <333

“Y/n?” There was a gentle voice at your door, followed by a few quiet knocks against the wood. “Y/n, can I come in?”
Your head slowly lifted from the fetal position you had succumbed to, your vision still blurry with tears as they glanced across your bedroom to the entryway. Barely anything was visible in the dark expanse of your room, except the silhouette of a shadow under your door; a shadow you quickly recognized as Jean’s.
“Yeah, I guess.” You answered his request, quickly lifting your fingers to wipe away the tears littering your skin.
The door then opened slowly, allowing the light from the outside hallway to seep through; its piercing glow caused your eyes to squint after being in the dark for so long. Although, once you began to adjust to the brightness, you were able to make out Jean’s figure entering your room, along with a tray of food he was holding in his hands.
“Hey,” his voice was soft, a tender smile lining his lips as he walked over to your bedside; one of his hands then reached towards your nightstand to turn on the lamp. “There, that’s better. Did you turn nocturnal or something?” He teased, hoping to cheer you up in some small way.
Although, as his eyes glanced toward you, seeing no alleviation in your downcast expression, he realized it was going to take much more than a simple joke to bring you out of this fog you were enclosed in.
“I uh, I noticed you didn’t come down for dinner again.” Jean sighed and spoke with a gentle tone, awkwardly trying to change the subject. “So here, I brought you something.” He quickly stretched his arms outward to show you the tray of food he was holding, hoping it would improve your mood; even by the smallest amount.
You grinned faintly at his gesture. “Thanks, you can set it on my desk. I’ll eat it later.”
Jean’s eyebrows lowered at your words; that wasn’t the answer he was hoping for.
You said the same exact thing when he visited last night, and as he walked over to your desk to set your meal down like you asked, he realized it was foolish of him to believe you.
Already sitting there was the plate he previously brought you yesterday; the same one you promised you wouldn’t allow to go cold.
The food was uneaten, its texture now dry and spoiled after sitting out all night; even the fork he settled beside your plate was in the same exact spot he positioned it in before he left.
A disappointed sigh escaped Jean’s lips as he set the new meal down on your desk, knowing it would go to waste as well.
It’s a pity, had you not wasted it, Sasha would’ve been more than happy to eat at least half of your serving for you; just like she always did.
She used to demand to sit next to you for every meal, because you were the only one who was kind enough to let her steal your food. It started off as just a few bites of course, nothing too covetous, but, as time went by, she started unintentionally stealing almost half your plate.
She’d always apologize thoroughly for it though; she even began buying you a couple sweets from the local shop afterward to make up for it.
Sooner or later, it became a normal routine for you both. She’d eat her portion, as well as half of yours, then later she’d get you something in return. It was a fair trade, and it brought the two of you closer in the process.
Every meal since then was quite entertaining; not to mention loud. It always started with your thunderous laughter after Sasha, once again, scarfed down her food too fast that she ended up coughing. Following that was Connie’s usual “slow down, the food isn’t going anywhere,” comment that would always spark a brainless argument between the two.
Once their fight got more heated than just trivial little jabs, Jean would always step in and order them to cut it out. And every single time, almost like clockwork, Connie would call Jean his permanent nickname of “horse-face” that immediately had the whole table erupting in laughter; especially Eren.
Every meal it was something, and every single time you were doubling over in a convulsing laughter that you couldn’t breathe from. Between Sasha’s coughing, the silly arguments, and the non-stop jokes: the dinner table was always eventful, and your smile was always present.
But now, things had changed.
Ever since the catastrophe that occurred two weeks ago, you stopped attending dinner; and for once, the table was relatively silent.
With only one plate to tackle, Sasha didn’t eat as frantically as she used to. Because of that, Connie’s comments about her speed weren’t made anymore, and Jean didn’t have to play patrol officer and break up any more fights. There weren’t as many jokes for Eren to laugh at, or a noise problem that Mikasa could complain about.
For the first time, the dinner table was quiet, uncomfortably quiet.
Your seat remained vacant for the past two weeks, as did Reiner and Bertholdt’s; but no one needed to ask why, the reason for that was already blatantly clear.
It pained them all to sit at that table without you, to witness the way you isolated yourself, but they knew better than to confront you about it.
There was no point in discussing it, lest they wanted to rehash their grievances for the hundredth time.
So, Jean resorted to bringing your meals directly to you instead; that way you could still get the food you needed without having to interact with anyone before you were ready.
That in itself became a routine of its own: Jean would come to check on you in the early mornings when you’d skipped breakfast, bringing you something light to start your day with; and then at night he repeated the process.
And every single time he came to check up on you, your face wore the same grief-stricken expression as the day before.
Of course, he didn’t exactly expect you to be bursting with joy after what had happened; it was completely normal for you to be upset about it.
Reiner and Bertholdt were their friends after all; their comrades who they fought alongside for years. It was a stab to the heart to be betrayed by them, but, what’s worse is things didn’t stop there either. After the betrayal was the battle, the same battle that wiped out more than half of the military corps, including their trusted commander.
As if the betrayal itself wasn’t already agonizingly painful, the death toll that followed was more than enough reason to feel as dejected as you were right now. It was the bloodiest mission you’d ever encountered before, and the aftermath was beyond heartbreaking, especially since the enemy still managed to escape in the end.
Jean understood why you were isolating yourself; others did too for a little while. And though he wanted to, the reason he never pushed you about rejoining the land of the living was because he knew you were hurting; and the last thing he wanted to do was make things worse for you.
But as his eyes narrowed in on that plate of wasted food you promised him you’d eat, he realized he might’ve been too lenient on you.
You never ate a whole lot of what he would bring you, but you were still getting something, and that was enough for Jean.
Although now that you’d stopped eating altogether, that was officially his last straw.
“What’s the point in telling me you’ll eat later if you never do?” Jean suddenly spoke up, causing you to flinch slightly at the sudden noise.
His voice sounded stiff; almost as if he was frustrated at you. Your head tilted upward to examine the expression across his face, and sure enough, you realized your assumption was correct. His jaw was clenched together tightly, and his eyes stared you down with an irritated glare.
“Well?!” He asked once again, his tone increasing with annoyance as he awaited your response.
“I’m just not hungry right now.” You answered dismissively, as if he was foolish to even be asking such a thing. “I’ll eat when I wake up.” Your words were followed by a subtle roll of your eyes. Your hands then gripped the blanket lying next to you, petulantly yanking it over your shoulders as you plopped down onto your pillow. “Now, goodnight.”
You knew full well that you were acting a bit childish, especially when Jean was only trying to look out for you. But you were too fed up at this point to apologize for your stubbornness.
Every single time you saw anyone it was always the same “look who decided to join us” comment, or worse: a dozen or so questions that you didn’t feel like answering.
Most of them were the usual “how are you feeling?” or “do you want to talk about it?” However, there were always those irritating ones they just had to ask: the ones about Reiner.
As if you even had the mental strength to think about him in the first place, they were still expecting a full report on what you thought about his actions, or what you’d do now that he’s gone.
Their curiosity always seemed to far outweigh their regard for your feelings on the matter; that’s why you resorted to isolation. It quickly became too overwhelming to deal with the bombardment of questions they were ready to unload on you; so, you stayed away, refusing to give them the chance to do so in the first place.
But now Jean was doing the same thing: invading your barracks and asking those bothersome questions you didn’t feel like answering.
Maybe you were just emotional right now, and perhaps being a little too sensitive. Nevertheless, you just wanted him to leave; you just wanted to be left alone.
“Fine then.” You heard Jean scoff. “Just let me know if you need anything.”
You didn’t respond. Instead, you just closed your eyes, nuzzling your face into the blanket as you waited to hear the usual defeated sigh slip past his lips; along with the closing of your bedroom door that would follow soon after.
Just a few more seconds and he’d storm out; surrounding your ears with a jarring echo after he tumultuously slammed that wooden door behind him.
Any second now…
Just one more minute, and then you’d hear it; you were sure of it!
However, the seconds kept creeping by, and there was still no sound to indicate the opening of that door. Rather, an unexpected sound emerged from the silence instead.
You immediately turned around to see what the commotion was about, as well as to find out why he was even still here in the first place.
You didn’t exactly know what you expected to see when you glanced over your shoulder, but watching Jean pull the chair out from under your desk and take a seat was definitely not what you imagined.
“What are you doing??” You groaned in annoyance.
He obviously wasn’t getting the hint that you wanted him to leave, or perhaps he was and just refused to meet your demands.
“Oh? Did you need something?” He asked, as if this was normal, as if you were the one disrupting his peace.
“I thought you were leaving.”
“I never said that.” He leaned back in your chair, extending his legs across the floor; almost like he planned on staying a while.
You stared him down with a glare, but he didn’t acknowledge it. Instead, his gaze was fixated out the window, admiring the moon’s captivating glow from the comfort of your dimly lit bedroom.
“Fine, stay then, I don’t care.” You snapped, laying back down with a dramatic huff; continuing your sulking.
Why was he being so difficult? You just weren’t in the mood to be around anyone? Couldn’t he understand that?
Granted, you hadn’t been in the mood to be social for the past two weeks now, but regardless, why couldn’t he just leave you be? That’s all you wanted.
“It’s not going to change anything you know?
“Huh??” You immediately turned back around, quite displeased at him.
If Jean was going to insist on staying, he could at least have the decency to remain silent so that you could sleep. Evidently, he didn’t agree with that notion.
“It’s not going to change anything.” He repeated.
“No, I heard what you said,” you groaned impatiently, not knowing how much more you could take of this. “But what are you talking about?!”
Jean’s voice was quiet but stern, his eyes soon looked over at you with a sympathetic gaze. “Isolating yourself, starving yourself, everything you’ve been doing for the past two weeks.” He paused momentarily, letting out a gentle sigh before speaking once more. “None of it’s going to bring him back, you know?”
Your eyes widened at Jean’s words, your breathing coming to a halt in your lungs. You immediately looked away from him, avoiding his gaze as you stared at the ceiling; trying to hold back those tears you could feel collecting in your eyes.
Jean was right.
None of your sulking or lack of eating would ever be enough to bring Reiner back; No amount of isolation could change the fact that he was gone.
Reiner had chosen to betray and abandon those who trusted him, those who loved him, and that was all there was to it.
He was clearly never coming back, and even if he did, things would never be the same between the two of you again; or anyone else for that matter.
There was nothing left to do except move on and accept the reality of your situation.
But even so, you still couldn’t bring yourself to do it. Despite the things he’d done, you still loved Reiner, and your heart still longed to be with him.
“I know.” You finally spoke up, “but I wish it would.” A gentle sigh jerked past your lips as you quickly turned back around to face the wall again, clearly not wanting to talk about the subject any longer.
Jean eyes lowered at your response, frustrated that you were shutting down once again; just like you’ve been doing for the past two weeks now.
He quickly slumped against the back of your chair with an enervated sigh, feeling like giving up on his efforts to pull you out of this darkness.
Jean had been trying his best to be gentle with you, to make sure you didn’t feel like he was pressuring you. He’d been patient with your stubbornness, he’d been calm and caring, but you didn’t seem to recognize any of that; all you were concerned about was the agony you allowed to cripple you from the inside, and it hurt to be a witness to it.
It hurt to see the way you were torturing yourself, pretending as if you deserved to be put through this pain. It was almost as if you were acting like this was your fault, like you had done something to deserve this.
But that wasn’t true; and Jean could see now that you’d forgotten that.
None of this was your fault, Reiner was the only one to blame here.
It was cruel of him to put you through this; to make you believe you weren’t good enough to make him stay, that you weren’t special enough to be loved by someone.
What kind of monster does that to a person; a person he loves especially?!
Jean couldn’t understand it, it angered him.
Did you truly believe you deserved to be abandoned? Left unloved?
Was Reiner the one who taught you to think that way? Jean’s blood was beginning to boil at just the thought of that.
It was all so frustrating, so heartbreaking. You weren’t the same person anymore, and Reiner was the cause of it.
Ever since his betrayal, Reiner had taken away a piece of you, the same one that used to laugh so loudly at the dinner table, the same one that contained your beautiful smile.
Your true self was withering away because of the crimes carried out by a man who promised to love you; but Jean refused to let it go without putting up a fight.
He wouldn’t stand by and watch the best part of you fall to pieces just because of some idiot who didn’t realize what he had before he threw it away.
You had to be saved from this, reminded that you didn’t need Reiner to be fulfilled, that you were already enough as you were.
You needed to remember all the good things in life that didn’t include Reiner, all the people that still cared deeply for you; people you seemed to forget about within the span of the past two weeks.
If you were ever going to be able to move on, ever going to heal from this: you needed to let Reiner go.
Jean sighed quietly as he stood up from the chair, attempting to try a different approach in hopes to get through to you.
He had tried everything he could think of without breaking any boundaries, but it got him nowhere. This was now officially his last resort, his final chance to rescue you from this darkness before it consumed you fully; leaving no trace left of the person you used to be.
If this didn’t work, then Jean could at least say he tried everything he possibly could; but hopefully, it doesn’t come to that.
Jean inhaled nervously to prepare himself before he slowly made his way over to your bed; placing a tender hand on your shoulder. “Y/n?” Jean spoke in a quiet voice, trying his best not to make you feel overwhelmed or anxious. “Can you please look at me?”
You didn’t move at first, you didn’t want to.
You were fully aware he was just trying to help, but you just couldn’t bring yourself to open up again without breaking down; and that was the last thing you needed right now.
“Y/n please.” Jean’s voice was desperate and pleading, his hand gently rubbing along your shoulder to, hopefully, coax you into giving in.
You let out a gentle sigh, tempted to just unload everything at once now that the offer was standing. It was hurting to keep everything inside like this; bottling it up and hiding it away as if it didn’t matter, as if you didn’t feel like screaming until your throat became dry and sore.
It was becoming too much to bear; the burden was too heavy to carry on your own anymore, and Jean had obviously noticed.
As usual, he could see right through you; penetrating through every wall you built to conceal your true feelings.
Maybe it was easier to stop fighting him, maybe, you really should just give in.
“I just want to know you’re okay.”
Jean’s voice was kind and sympathetic; the gentle caressing of his hand against your shoulder matching that tender tone he was currently using.
He sounded so desperate, so genuinely worried about you; something you couldn’t just ignore no matter how scared you were to open up again.
“Please…”
He pleaded, and by the tone of his voice you could tell this would be the last time; that this was your last chance to accept his offer of confiding in him before he would give up.
Despite your reservations to it, you knew you couldn’t refuse this time, lest you wanted to sign the contract to submit to your grief eternally.
If you were ever going to recover, ever going to restore that old version of yourself that you missed so much, then you’d have to grab ahold of this opportunity before it slipped away forever.
A gentle sigh rumbled in your throat before your body slowly turned to face Jean, watching the way he retracted his hand from your shoulder as you moved.
“I’m not okay.” You shook your head, eyes welling up with tears already. “And I don’t know how to be okay again.” You spoke with a shaken tone, feeling your lip quiver gently as you stared at him.
Barely ten seconds into speaking and you were already struggling to keep it together; feeling your heart clench in your chest at the recollection of all those bottled up thoughts now resurfacing.
Jean’s expression lowered at the sight of you, as if it was hurting him to watch this.
His body gently kneeled in front of your bed, aligning his eyes with yours as he reached to stroke your shoulder once more. “It’s okay, you don’t have to do this alone, no one expects you to.” He said reassuringly, staring at you with a sympathetic and tender gaze.
“I just-“ A sudden sob appeared at the back of your throat, choking the words you were trying to let escape. “I just don’t understand it. Why did he leave me?” You sniffled gently in between sentences. “Why didn’t he care about me?” A quiet sob slipped past your mouth, much to your dislike.
It was pathetic, embarrassing even; the way you were falling apart over this, not even lasting a good minute before turning into a crying mess.
Your eyes diverted away from Jean, cowering behind the blanket you were now burying your face into; hoping to muffle the sound of your sobs. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean, I just…” Your words came to a halt in your mouth as your emotions quickly took over; preventing you from getting a proper word out. “I’m sorry…” You repeated, clenching your eyes shut in humiliation.
You expected to hear a sigh of annoyance right about now, or perhaps even the shutting of the door. However, your body jolted in surprise when you felt the sudden warmth of a person hugging you gently instead.
Your head quickly lifted from the blanket and your eyes widened to see Jean’s face so close to yours; almost making you blush awkwardly at the proximity.
A comforting smile painted across Jean’s lips when he saw you look up at him. “Sorry if this is weird.” he chuckled nervously and quickly let go of the hug; backing away in case you felt uncomfortable. “You just looked like you needed that.”
Your expression softened as you looked at him, feeling a sense of gratitude filling your heart at the way he was attempting to comfort you; even if it was a little awkward at first. “No, it’s okay.” You quickly shook your head in response, granting him a gentle smile in return; one Jean hadn’t seen in two weeks.
Your body quickly sat up and leaned forward, reaching off the bed to where Jean was kneeling and wrapping your arms around him to continue the hug. “You’re right, I do need this.” You spoke in a soothing tone, letting him know you were okay with what he did a few seconds ago; and that it hadn’t pushed you away.
Jean let out a gentle sigh of relief at your actions, a little flabbergasted at how well you were responding to him. Here he was prepared to face your stubborn and dismissive attitude for the millionth time and yet he was faced with a completely unprecedented outcome.
There were no more spiteful comments or hurtful glares coming his way, just a gentle gaze and a pleasant embrace he never anticipated receiving after the state you were in merely seconds ago.
For the first time in two weeks, it seemed the Y/n he once knew, the Y/n he always secretly harbored feelings for, was finally showing herself again; even if just by the smallest amount.
Jean grinned gently to himself, and his arms quickly wrapped around your back to return the unexpected hug. “We’ve all been worried sick about you, ya know?” Jean spoke softly as he tightened his grip around you, allowing his hand to gently caress your back in the process.
“I know,” You uttered quietly, your voice sounding less unhinged and imbalanced as it was before. “And I’m sorry.”
You sniffled gently, your eyes clenching shut and your arms tightening around Jean’s neck as you leaned against him; wanting to stay in his comforting embrace.
Jean chuckled as he felt the way you clung to him; realizing just how desperate your need for reassurance was. “It’s okay, you don’t have to apologize.” He said as he leaned the side of his head against yours, continuing the subtle tracing of his fingers along your back. “Just please don’t do that again, okay?”
You nodded quickly, feeling the sting of tears pricking against your eyes once more. “I won’t, I promise, I’m really sorry.” You apologized again in an uneasy tone, feeling shameful of the way you’d been acting for the past two weeks.
This whole time Jean had been here trying to help you, but you’d just been too consumed in your own misery that you failed to notice the damage you were causing; the pain you were putting him, as well as everyone else, through by isolating yourself like this.
You’d been rude, selfish even; too hyper fixated on your own agony that you’d become blind to the impairment you were projecting onto everyone else.
You’d hoped it wasn’t too late to turn things around and make amends with the people you’d been neglecting for the past two weeks; and a part of you started to grow fearful that you’d missed your chance by now.
However, by the way Jean held you close and leaned his head tenderly against yours, it was obvious that wasn’t the case.

Tumblr media
Law left his office late at night. It was one of those days when he had spent too much time in his office, and his body was starting to crave even the slightest bit of attention. He walked into the kitchen, hoping there would be some leftovers from tonight's dinner; he could feel the pressure of the sea in his ears, making the place even quieter than it already was.
But that wasn't necessarily a bad thing; he appreciated these moments of silence, when all the crew members should already be asleep or quietly going about their activities. The clock and the silence were his only indications that night had arrived in a place where sunlight barely reached.
The silence was broken as he approached the kitchen; he could hear soft music playing and a sad humming. Light seeped out from under the door, indicating that someone was still outside the room.
With calm steps, he approached. Initially, his intention was to get something to eat, but now he wanted to find out who was singing. As he approached the door, Law could feel a gust of wind coming through the gaps. If he didn't know his crew, he would have been quite surprised when he opened the door and saw the plates floating in the air in an orderly synchronization. But he couldn't help but be enchanted by the way they moved through the kitchen, following a sequence to be cleaned, dried, and then put away.
"Hello, captain," you said, stopping your singing in tune with the music. He entered and closed the door behind him, containing the air flow that kept the plates in order, like a production line. He also noticed the little Den Den Mushi humming a melancholic tune.
"Y/N," he greeted you. You had the power to control the wind, which was quite useful in battles, especially due to your abilities and creativity in manipulating your power. But it was also useful in everyday situations like this, where you could simply wash the dishes while using your abilities to finish all the work.
"What are you doing up at this hour?" he asked with his usual formality. You had recently joined the crew and had never really talked to him before, and you thought you never would. He was always locked in his office, focusing on things other than wasting time talking to a newcomer on his ship.
"Just… washing the dishes," there was a strange tone in your voice, as if there was a lump in your throat preventing you from speaking. Law noticed it.
"Are you sure?" It was impressive how he could notice subtle things. You were sure that beneath his stoic nature, there was a person who was attentive to everything happening around him. You admired that about him. "You don't have to speak if you don't want to." He walked through the kitchen, carefully avoiding the floating dishes. His eyes searched for food, anything that could quiet the rumbling in his stomach.
That's when he found a shy tray with three cupcakes, hidden next to a gigantic pile of plates. They seemed to have been decorated by a child, with crooked icing and colorful star-shaped sprinkles.
Law found it adorable.
"C-Captain!" you said, finally finishing washing the huge pile of plates. "Don't eat those."
"Oh," he shared a glance between you and the tray. "Are they already reserved?"
You sighed with his innocence. "No. But I'm going to throw them away."
"Why?" He picked one up. "They look good." He could see that the icing was poorly mixed, so there were still parts that were white instead of being colored with dye. "Have you tasted them?" Normally, he wouldn't insist or even ask about such things, but he couldn't see a reason to throw away food.
"I made them," your voice had a hint of sadness, as if you had been crying before he arrived. "No one wanted to eat them because of that."
"Why?" he asked again, sounding like a child with so many questions. However, his expression was curious, as if he wanted to know why you sounded so frustrated.
"I-I…" you held both hands in front of you, trying to gather the courage to tell your captain, as if you were ready to reveal a secret. "I'm trying to learn how to cook."
He raised an eyebrow, expecting you to continue your story, although he already had an idea of where it was going.
"When we saw the Straw Hats… I was impressed by Sanji's cooking skills," he raised his eyebrows at the mention of the cook. "It reminded me of an old desire to cook when I was younger. I loved cooking with my mother, but I didn't really do much myself." Law listened attentively to your story as he looked at the cupcake in his hand.
"I asked him to teach me a few things, but he could only teach me how to cook rice properly and make onigiri," Law looked up at you, his expression always calm. You sighed before continuing. "So, I tried to continue without his help, using a recipe book I bought on an island. And apparently, I'm terrible at cooking!" Law hid his look of pity.
"No one wants to try what I make because apparently everything turns out bad!" Law saw some frustrated tears rolling down your face. "This fucking cupcake didn't turn out bad! I tasted it! But no one wanted to even try it."
You watched Law delicately peel off the cupcake wrapper and then take a bite of the cake. A bit of icing stuck to his nose without him noticing. You found it adorable.
The cupcake wasn't anything special; in fact, it looked like just another regular cupcake, but it was tasty enough for him to want another one. He couldn't understand why someone wouldn't want to eat it.
"This is good, Y/N-ya," you sighed in relief, afraid that he would also complain. If he did, you would probably throw yourself into the sea at the first opportunity. "I don't understand why they refused."
You smiled, wondering if he was just being kind or if he genuinely meant it. You didn't know him intimately, but Law didn't seem like the type of person who would lie just to please someone. You thanked him with a heavy heart, deciding not to irritate him with such a question.
"Can I have another one?" he asked after finishing the one he had taken. You nodded, and he headed back to the tray. "You know, I can cook too," he commented, and you looked at him in surprise.
"I usually don't have much time for it," he sighed, taking another bite of the cupcake and once again smearing the tip of his nose. "But I cook sometimes for the crew, and sometimes for myself when everyone is asleep."
It was strange to see him like this, his tall figure slightly hunched over and his disheveled hair without the hat. He was wearing casual clothes and talking about mundane things like cooking, which contrasted with the serious and calculating figure he imposed on himself. "If you want, I can teach you what little I know," you returned his gaze to his eyes, wondering if you had heard correctly. "Apparently, we have some spare time until the next island."
"S-Sorry?" you asked as if your ears had deceived you.
"Um…" for some reason, his cheeks were tinged with a light blush. "I said I can teach you what little I know, you know… about cooking?" He seemed embarrassed now.
"Oh, I would love that!" you accepted, with a gleam of excitement in your eyes. Law looked at you as if he was melting in your eyes.
You approached him, carefully wiping the icing off the tip of his nose. "It was dirty." You saw the man blush so intensely that it looked like he was going to change color at any moment. "Thank you, Captain," you smiled sweetly.
Law's face turned bright red, seeing how lovely you looked when you smiled. He began to regret it, mentally wondering if he could handle seeing such a kind smile from you frequently.

Amo a Law
One piece men react to your new haircut
Tumblr media
ft. Law, Zoro and Sanji
fluff + gn reader with long hair
Masterlist
Tumblr media
LAW
“Y/n-ya” Laws muffled voice ringed in your ears from outside your dorm, a tad softer tone coloring his words than he would usually use, a tone that always accompanied your name after it
He was met with silence
You had skipped breakfast, first red flag, and when you didn’t showed up for the monthly meeting at his office he knew something was up, he just didn’t know exactly what could be
“Go away” the doctors eyebrows curled in confusion, you sounded upset
“Can you open the door please?”
“No”
Laws mind ran wild trying to think of a reason for your behavior changing one day to another, hiding away in your dorm
“Shambles”
The tall man appears in front of your door as he finds you underneath your bedsheets curled in a ball. Obviously what his mind zeroed in to immediately was that you may be feeling unwell, but as the tiniest softest sob left your mouth he realized it was a different kind of unwell he had not anticipated
Feeling extremely unprepared, he sits at the end of your bed, immediately making you squirm and hide further in your bed
“Don’t look at me, I'm horrendous!” The captain cannot stop the snickers that scapes his mouth at your statement
“Don’t be ridiculous” In a swift move Law removes the sheets, revealing your face hiding behind your hands
He noticed right away what you were referring to as apparently ‘horrendous’. Your locks were cut short too way above your shoulders, at the height of the frame of your face. He admires the new style, a smile tugging at his lips before he removes your hands from your regretful face, your eyes scan his expression in total terror
“I thought I could do it myself” a whisper could be heard louder than the words leaving you as you melt at Laws sweet touch “I look so bad”
Law runs his finger through your soft short strands before stroking your cheek “You look just fine y/n-ya… it quite suits you”
Your face turns from his grasp but your Captain is quick to catch you “You’re gorgeous any day, any time, with long or short hair” Doe eyes met his as if you were relieved at his praise
“Promise?”
“Promise”
Your short hair was quick to become Laws favorite look on you
Tumblr media
ZORO
“Don’t move” Zoro's tongue peeks at the side of his lips as he finds the perfect angle to cut your soft long strands of hair
“If you cut me in half…”
“Quit complaining I haven’t even started” He watches as your hands show him what length to cut for the third time, the swordsman takes a deep breath. A swift move from his strong arms followed by the sound of a cut near your ears is the last thing that fills your senses before a weight is lifted from your shoulders. Your eyes peek at the floor, a sea of your now old hair beneath you
“Perfect” you hear Zoro mutter, you run your hand through your hair, a grimace appearing on your face
"It's not straight” you sigh, defeated
“What are you talking about?” Zoro appears in your field of vision and scans the way your hair sits at the sides of your frame, before you can even complain about it, another cut is heard disrupting the peace of The Sunny.
Instantly you run to the bathroom mirror, it’s not perfect per se´, but he got the exact length you wanted to. You were a short hair kind of a person your whole life, but when you had started to sail through the sea, embarking alongside the future king of the pirates, it was hard to keep up a neat cut like the one you liked, so you resorted to a more easy way out. Another sigh escapes you, a different one this time, this one is a content one. You smile as you pose before the mirror, which reflects another figure outside the bathroom watching you intently
“Thank you Zoro” you offer him the softest and most thankful smile through your reflection, the swordsman shrugs, trying not to make a big deal out of it, truth was he was more than glad to help you, in anything you may need, it made him feel important. His eyes take on the new view of your appearance once more, his heart thrumbing in his ears and a blush sitting on his cheeks, he didn't know how you managed to look even more breathtaking
“No problem”
You wink at him at you may have broke him, the swordsman stays frozen in place as you run to show Nami and Robin your new look
Tumblr media
SANJI
The cook stays in a trance as he watches you braid your long beautiful locks in a fish braid before bed, as you tie it you watch your reflection for a while, a hesitant look appearing making your nose scrunch, the antic making his heart jump in his chest. Sanji bites his tongue, wanting to comment on this action, curious as to what could possibly be bothering you, because last time he checked, your reflection was nothing to frown about.
"What's wrong, my love?" He asks ever so gently, you stay silent before walking to your shared bed, sighing as you lay beside him
“I want to cut my hair, it’s really hard work keeping it off my face, and it takes ages to wash and style” another frown sits on your lips as your eyes advert from his face
The reality was that you were planning on cutting your hair for a while now, but the thought of Sanji disliking your new look haunted you, but you were not gonna admit that to him
One of his delicate hands reach for your braid, then travel upwards to cup your face, he smiles in pure adoration pulling at your heart strings in the most intimate melody
“I know whatever you do to your hair is gonna look smashing” a dark red creeps from your neck and warms up your face at the blonde’s touch
After Sanji’s sweet reassurance, you missed no time and that morning reached for the scissors in your drawer and just went for it. As half your braid fell to the floor you felt the biggest weight being lift from your shoulders, your locks dancing free with the ocean’s breeze
The cook walked outside the kitchen in the middle of his breakfast prep for a smoke, but his cigarette hit the floor the instant he spotted you leaning on the railing of The Sunny, he was left stunted, heart eyes following your beautiful silhouette as he rushed your way
“Stunning” his hands immediately landing on your strands, brushing them slowly and lovingly
“You were right” you smiled at him content written all over your face
“Of course I was darling, I know an angel when I see one”
Luffy’s whines of annoyance could be heard all over the ship when he found his plate empty in the kitchen and Sanji nowhere to be found, he just had to stay to admire you all morning, it was a must

“Sleeping/Cuddling Clone Headcannons p.2”
Read p.1 here (✩)
Clones x GN padawan reader ( You could technically read it either way but in my head it’s all Platonic)
Bad batch and Delta squad version!
Wish me luck I have to get up early tomorrow- too bad I don’t have a clone to snuggle
(I could make another with the Corrie guard or another group)
Tumblr media
Hunter
• Dad mode has already engaged once you asked him if you could bunk with him
• It’s a very quick yes and most of the other Bad Batch members go to him to bunk with whenever they need
• Big spoon all day and just wants you to be as close as possible to him- your heart beat takes up most of his senses so he can fall asleep
•He is your own blanket and will make sure you get enough sleep
• Will sleep so your against the wall and his back is facing out OR your both have your backs facing the wall just in case he needs to watch something by the door
• Will do that especially when your scared
Crosshair
• He’s a small spoon- so he can also spoon his precious riffle
• the first time you even tried to get into the same bunk as him he pushed you out
• I feel like the first time you properly slept pressed up next to him was in some cave when you all got separated on a mission and had to wait the night out together
• He would mumble and grumble but deep down he would jump any time you moved, wanting you to stay asleep
•Bone crushing grip- your not getting up unless he’s awake. He’d be the type to ground you
Tech
• His datapad crashes into his face every few seconds
• But he would pull up different holo-videos and such to help the both of you fall asleep
•He sleeps on his side facing the wall??? Idk I get that vibe from him. Has no concerns with the boogeyman apparently
• More often then not you have to take his googles off for him so they won’t break
• if you can get him to sleep in an actual bunk it’s a miracle and not in the pilots seat or slumped on a desk
Wrecker
• Ecstatic when you bring up the idea
• Is more than happy to make room for you on his bunk and even give you lula to snuggle with as well
• He’s so warm and inviting your asleep instantly
• My man also snores like a engine starting up but will get all flustered and worried if you bring it up
• If your scared or anything during the night he is more than happy to stay up on watch if it eases your mind- he also verbally comforts you
Boss
• 100% would allow you to bunk with him if you asked no matter what
• If he can keep an eye on one of the migraines in the night it’s a win for him
• in reality he’s a huge pillow- completely comforting without all his armor on
• The fact that you would feel so safe in his arms I can’t even describe well enough in words to do it justice
• also I feel like this man would have so many blankets on his bed you’d both be piled under them
Sev
• Straight up no in the first place
• The first time you got him it was late already and he was going back to his bunk- you were already there with many blankets and stuff
• He tells you to get out at first but honestly your both way to tired (and stubborn) to listen
• With a sigh he’ll practically pushes you to your own side
• will stay as far away as possible until at one point in the middle of the night he will turn over and roll his eyes and then pull you flush against him- denies it in the morning
Fixer
• Talks to fall asleep- he’ll tell you all about what interesting things he has read today and would love to share the details
• He deserves more love and I think for cuddling it would be the hug sort of thing
•Face to Face completely wrapped up in each other- nothing else would even matter in these moments
• You’ll have to know Fixer for a while before bunking with him, but once you earn his trust and the group accepts you it’s so much easier
• Drools a lot but man needs a good sleep like that
Scorch
• Loud and very full of energy at almost every hour of the day
• if you get this man to lay down cause he needs the sleep he would be all over you with cuddles
• watching the stars or the rain fall outside really helps him to sleep and like Fives I think he takes up a lot of room in his bunk
• He just needs love- head and shoulder scratches gets him to sleep very quickly, and don’t think he wouldn’t do it for you to
• something about the motion and feeling over and over again just lulls him into a slumber

“Sleeping/Cuddling Clone Headcannons”
Clones x GN padawan reader
(I guess it could be read in a different way butttt I wrote it with the intention of reader being younger)
Enjoy this because I couldn’t sleep last night!
Tumblr media
Rex
• He would definitely be the one everyone goes to for a post mission cuddle
• I mean can you blame them? How could you not feel safe in his arms??
• Rex is 100% the one that would trace small patterns over your arms or back to help you both sleep
• He sleeps wherever as long as you stayed asleep and were comfortable- losing feeling in his arm? That doesn’t matter
• His arm is like a weighted blanket around anyone that he shares a bunk with, it doesn’t matter who it is he has to be holding them tightly
Cody
• I think Cody is the type to wrap his entire being and soul around whoever he’s sleeping with
• He just gets so close and it’s not even his fault because he’s asleep
• Would be the person to nuzzle his head in the crook of your neck, and vise versa
• Definitely the big spoon but occasionally will switch
• If you are in the same bunk as Cody I think you would start off barely touching but by morning it would be like you were stuck together.
Fives
• Fives is a complete starfish in his bunk and will take up as much room as he can
• However of course if you do ask to bunk with him he would definitely move over, but don’t be surprised if a leg or arm invades your space in the middle of the night
• If you struggle with falling asleep or nightmares I think he would be a verbal comforter and would whisper things in the dark
• His head would probably rest somewhere on your stomach or on your back
• He honestly loves when there is someone else in his bunk with him and can’t remember the last time there wasn’t
Echo
• Sleeps on his back like he was trained too
• You would just show up one night a snuggle right into his side melting into his stiff shape
• Over the course of a few minutes, whether he his conscious or not he will turn more and more ‘out of regulation’ until he has you in his hold
• He definitely holds you so that his chin can rest perfectly on the top of your head
• He practically radiates heat and it feels so nice on cold campaigns
• After joining the bad batch you found that’s it’s much better for the both of you if you just sleep in each others embrace
Hardcase
• Snores like an absolute freight train
• He use to be a very heavy sleeper but after the events of Umbara Hardcase feels a lot better if your in his bunk too
•He will absolutely be the big spoon and will put his head on your shoulder and by your neck
• Ok but just imagine Hardcase’s bed full of stuff animals- if that’s not the cutest thing then idk what is
• they are all named and he would definitely give you one to cuddle with along with him
• Loves when you trace over his tattoos, it puts him right to sleep
Kix
• Kix doesn’t get enough sleep as is, but using the excuse that if he lays with you you’ll go to sleep too
• You can practically feel how exhausted he his with his tense muscles when he lays down
• In this case he is definitely the little spoon. With everything this he deals with being a medic it’s the least he deserves
• You love making up funny stories to try and soothe each other as you both lay there together
• Kix definitely sleeps with some sort of white noise to try and drown his racing thoughts
Wolffe
• He would protest a little bit saying that he likes his personal space, but my boy is so touched deprived and will think that this is the highest form of trust
• It’s like sleeping with a warm weighted blanket
• Wolffe would be that person that wouldn’t really fall asleep until he knew you were alright
• He would definitely be a head scratcher because of all the times that Plo Koon has done it for him
• Wolffe wouldn’t tell anyone really if his padawan stayed in his bunk or not but everyone could definitely tell by his attitude and that there are no bags under either of your eyes
Fox
• 100% the small spoon. I will fight you on this one don’t try me, I believe this with my whole heart
• Just to be held like that He would pass away
• Following the same theme I think he would grumble about it and not really want to give up some space in HIS bed to you
• He completely melts into your touch and will find a way to get closer and closer to you
• Fox would definitely sleep in the fetal position
• I think he would be one of those people that wouldn’t get nightmares if someone held him tight enough and I stand by that

There will be a part 2 to this with the bad batch and others!

Title: Misunderstanding
Pairing: Katsuki Bakugo x reader
Summary: A romance quickly sparks between Bakugo and his classmate, but with neither of them aware of each other’s feelings, how long will it take for this unseemly conflict to end so they can finally have a chance at being together?
Warnings : cursing, slight angst
Word count : around 1,800 words
Author’s notes : reblogs are appreciated!! I appreciate all feedback on my writing so that I can know what you guys liked and what you think I should improve on😊
Disclaimer : this is a work of fiction and should in no way, shape, or form, be taken seriously.
Side Note: Most of my stuff doesn’t contain cussing because I don’t like putting it in my work, however it felt out of character for Bakugo not to cuss so this series will contain cussing.
Tumblr media
“𝙾𝚞𝚝 𝚘𝚏 𝚖𝚢 𝚠𝚊𝚢 𝚗𝚎𝚛𝚍!“
Bakugo’s words were all that filled your head. Every sentence making you wince in pain as you remembered who he was talking to in that moment.
“𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛, 𝚒𝚝’𝚜 𝚗𝚘𝚝 𝚕𝚒𝚔𝚎 𝙸 𝚌𝚊𝚛𝚎“
Tears soon collected near the edges of your eyes, your hands shaking softly as his voice only grew louder, giving you no choice but to listen.
“𝙾𝚑 𝚐𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚝, 𝙸 𝚐𝚘𝚝 𝚙𝚊𝚒𝚛𝚎𝚍 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚜𝚎 𝚝𝚠𝚘 𝚕𝚘𝚜𝚎𝚛𝚜, 𝚓𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚖𝚢 𝚕𝚞𝚌𝚔“
Those tears finally took control, slipping from your eyes without consent and quickly rushing down your cheek in an instant.
“Why does it have to be like this??” You cried, leaning your lips against the palm of your hand. “Why does he have to be so confusing??” With your eyes clenched shut, your fingers tightened around your mouth, attempting to cover the sound of your sobs.
You told yourself you wouldn’t let things go too far, that you wouldn’t become too attached to him. But here you were crying in the school bathroom over this same guy…
Katsuki Bakugo
Even from the first day of school you knew you felt something for him. At the time however it was only surface level feelings, mostly based off looks and things like that. But ever since that day, when the two of you got paired up for a training exercise, things quickly became a different story.
“Looks like you’re more powerful than I thought, guess you were holding out on me huh?”
That was his response after witnessing your strength up close in combat, suddenly realizing how much he had underestimated you before. After that, things seemed to only progress. He started talking to you more, asking you questions about yourself as if he was genuinely interested in hearing the answer.
He even began inviting you to hangouts with his friends, giving you the chance to get to know him a little more. After a while, the two of you started building a genuine friendship, allowing you to see who he really was under that mask. It exposed a softer side of him that he rarely showed, and you saw firsthand just how different he could be whenever it came to the people he cared about.
Everything was going so well, but then that’s when it all took a turn for the worst.
“𝚆𝚘𝚠, 𝚢𝚘𝚞’𝚟𝚎 𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚢 𝚐𝚘𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚑𝚎𝚊𝚍 𝚝𝚠𝚒𝚜𝚝𝚎𝚍 𝚒𝚏 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚔 𝙸 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚊 𝚌𝚛𝚞𝚜𝚑 𝚘𝚗 𝚢/𝚗.“
Your eyes stopped blinking, your lungs quit expanding. His words shattered your heart like a glass window, leaving deep wounds centered around its edges.
That one sentence left you devastated, lessening what little hope you had that he might actually return any feelings for you.
Your mind was conflicted to say the least, there were moments when he’d look at you, but more than just a quick glance. His eyes would linger, catching with yours and sometimes even granting the smallest smile. There were also times when he would compliment your strength during combat, making your heart flutter the moment those words fell from his lips.
His actions always hinted that he could harbor possible feelings towards you, however that one sentence always stuck with you. That one simple sentence drilled its way inside your head with no intention of leaving.
If he really liked you then why would he say he didn’t? Was it just a cover up to hide his actual feelings? Or was it how he truly felt about you?
If only you knew the truth. If only you understood what it meant when he stared at you for long periods of time. Or why he seemed to always be around, almost as if he was looking out for you.
That couldn’t mean he liked you, could it?
Maybe…
But then again he could be so mean sometimes…
“𝙽𝚎𝚛𝚍“ “𝙳𝚞𝚖𝚖𝚢“ “𝙸𝚍𝚒𝚘𝚝“
As you thought about it, it could just be him messing around, I mean he calls everyone names right? But what if these weren’t just jokes, what if he meant it? Did he actually think of you that way? Sometimes the answer seemed clear, but then he’d do something that made you question everything all over again.
It was all so frustrating. What reason was there to hope for a confession, assuming there would ever even be one.
You told yourself you should just drop it, that you shouldn’t let it upset you, but here you were still crying over him in this stupid bathroom.
“I just need to get back to class…” You sighed, wiping the back of your hand across your face before standing upright to open the stall door.
As your feet shuffled out the doorway, your eyes quickly glanced upwards to face the large mirror mounted on the wall. “Its okay… It’s not a big deal.” You exhaled sharply, trying to convince yourself of a reality where your feelings for him didn’t matter.
“Just forget about it,” you mumbled to yourself, fixing your complexion in the mirror before you made your way towards the exit.
As you opened the door, you realized how empty the hallway was. The quiet chatter from nearby classrooms being the only sound to fill the air. “Well, here goes nothing.” You took a deep breath, put on a pleasant expression, and quickly shuffled out the doorway.
Your body moved swiftly, heading back for class 1-A before Mr. Aizawa would get mad at you for being gone too long. However as you rounded the corner, your body soon met with another. The collision sent you backwards, knocking your feet off balance for a second or two.
“Hey, what the- Ohh it’s just you.”
“Hey Bakugo...“
You didn’t even have to look, you knew who it was just by his voice. Regardless, your eyes still peered up to view him, finding his arms lace across his chest as he stood before you.
“Just watch it next time, not everyone is as forgiving as I am.“ He chuckled, flashing you a cheeky grin.
You rolled your eyes playfully, a small smile tugging at the corners of your lips. “Pretty sure everyone is more forgiving than you.“
“Don’t get it twisted you idiot, I can be nice if I want to.”
Your eyebrows quickly lowered as the words escaped his lips. You figured he was just joking, however there was that word again. “Idiot,” another name he called you a lot, but what did it mean?
Your thoughts suddenly returned to the feelings you had experienced in the bathroom. The confusion, the frustration, it all came rushing back in an instant before you even had time to take control of it. You quickly restrained the tears that tried to force their way down your skin, desperate not to let him see them.
“What’s with the face?”
“Huh?” You quickly snapped out of your thoughts, finding his gaze narrowing in on you.
“Your eyes look red.” He acknowledged, tilting his head to the side as he spoke.
“Oh yeah I just um... I had an eyelash and so my eyes are still a little irritated, that’s all.” You tried your best to appear calm, praying he would believe it.
He paused for a moment, obviously seeing through your poor attempt at an excuse. His eyes quickly glanced over you, analyzing your posture and the excessive fidgeting of your fingers. He could tell something was wrong, but Bakugo didn’t have much understanding on how to comfort someone, especially in a public setting.
“Sh*t! She looks like she’s crying! What am I supposed to do now??” He thought to himself, confused at what his next movie should be. “Should I ask her if she’s alright? No, then she’ll realize I noticed and I don’t want to embarrass her. Do I just leave then? No, that’s rude to just leave. Crap what the h*ll am I even supposed to do?!” Katsuki quickly panicked, his mind flooding with questions faster than he could form any solutions.
Upon noticing your uneasy posture he suddenly cleared his throat, letting out the only logical response he could think of at the time. “Yeah well if there’s someone bothering you then let me know, I really want to see that.”
Bakugo’s eyes quickly widened, realizing the words that just came out of his mouth. “That sounded wrong, I meant “I want to see that” like I want to see if they’re bold enough to try with me there, you know?” He stuttered, trying his best to recover from his panicked response.
“Yeah I get you…” You answered, your voice retaining a quiet tone as you looked away, attempting to hide your face from him. Your eyes quickly headed for the floor, breath trembling softly as you opened your mouth to respond once more. “Well uh... I better get back to class before Mr. Aizawa gets mad at me so um.. I’ll see ya...” The words stumbled from your throat.
You weren’t usually nervous to talk to him, but when your emotions were fighting to take command, it wasn’t exactly the best time to try and keep a conversation going.
“Oh yeah.. see ya.” He responded, his hands creeping into his pockets as he lifted his legs, walking off in the other direction so you would no longer be bothered by his presence.
He never intend on leaving, he wanted to figure out what was bothering you, but he could tell you were at a breaking point and he didn’t want to force you. So after a reluctant sigh he made his way down the opposite path, looking back as you trudged down the hallway.
“D*mn it, why am I so bad at this?!” He scolded himself silently, irritated at his choice of words during your recent conversation.
Katsuki Bakugo had always been a perfect model of confidence and pride, however when it came to you, all that seemed to wither away so easily.
You held a certain power over him that no one else was capable of possessing. Even something as simple as tucking your hair behind your ears or crossing your legs in your chair made him go weak in the knees. You had a way making him stumble over his words, turning the always confident man into a nervous wreck every time he tried to talk to you.
He wished he could tell you how he felt, maybe then all this anxiety would escape from him. But doing so would expose him to the risk of rejection, and all the humiliation that came along with it.
Could he bear it, if you rejected him? Would you hold it over him, gossiping about his confession to the other girls in your class?
It frustrated him to keep his feelings inside, but was it safe for him to share them with you?
I guess the only way to answer that question was by actually confessing, however whether he would do it or not was another question entirely.

In all honesty it’s VERY LIKELY that I’ll get rid of this fic, I just haven’t yet…

"Chopper made this for you" you gesture to the tea.
You both take a book and sit together on the couch, pretending to read while they watch Law fight sleep as time passes. It's almost cute to watch him struggle to keep his eyes open. Somehow it's contagious, sleep begins to invade the two of you too. Chopper lets out a small yawn as he snuggles closer to you. You imitate him.
The sun is about to disappear behind the sea when Law finally gathers his things and stands up. He's been aware of her presence accompanying him, and if is honest with himself, it was a little comforting.
He is aware that is being mean to you, that you are not to blame for anything, but he can't help it.
It always smells something bad and almost everyone snores.
Chopper wakes up next to you, uncomfortable with Torao's outburst, but willing to help him.
"You can sleep in the Nursing" he suggests kindly but shy.
When you finish, happy with your result and take off your sandals.
The few times they've interacted until then, he's always felt even a little calmer.
He misses his crew.
"Law" you whisper after a while. The named freezes, it's the first time you've called him by his name and it's so... intimate.
"I thought we were going to sleep," he says, feigning harshness. He hears you move uncomfortably in bed.
"I know." You move closer to him. "But... can I hug you?"
His heart stops for a second. Law is not a man of tact, but he is urged by yours. Something he can't - or won't - identify vibrates inside him, cheering for you; for all of you.
"Yes," he whisper , softer and more devoted than he expects, but it's worth it.
A knowing smile adorned his face. She came out again, announcing to everyone that the Nursing was closed until further notice.
