extension tube
An extension tube is there to increase the distance that is between the lens and the cameras sensor, this means that the lens is able to focus closer and therefore increase magnification so that you can use almost any lens for close-up photography as with a macro lens the longer the focal length is the greater the working distance that is achievable.
this is a JJC auto focus extension tube with TTL exposure for close up image photography for Nikon F mount cameras (12mm/20mm/36mm set) the price for this is £69.99

Macro Lens Research
Macro lenses are used to capture intricate details and patterns that can be found on smaller objects micro lenses make objects look bigger than what they actually are and can make things like insects look life-size. Macro lens is magnify things and so have a magnification ratio which tells you how the image projected on the camera sensor can compare with the subjects actual size, Show ends with a 2:1 ratio can create an image on it since her up to half the size of the subject rail a 5:1 ratio can project and image five times the size of the subject, if you see a lens with 1:1, 2:1, 3:1, 4:1, 5:1 ratio it is a macro lens and if you see a lens with a 1:1,1:2,1:3,1:4,1:5 ratio it is not a macro lens. Macro lenses enable for closer focusing distances than normal lenses and often require you to get very close to the subject. Depth of field becomes very limited at a close range to get more of your subject in focus you’re going to need to move your stop down to a very narrow aperture for example f16 and try and get your subject as flat as possible.
This lens is a sigma 105mm f/2.8 macro DG HSM standard prime lens for Nikon and costs £339

Unassuming Objects Typology
Today i in post production I learned how to make stroke borders, I learned about different shortcuts that can be used on Adobe photoshop and I learned how created a typology and this is my attempt at creating a typology using images of litter that I gathered from around my local area.
By the time I had collected the litter it was pretty dark out side so I used camera settings of 1/125 f4.5 and an iso of 3000 :( I also used photoshop express to add some brightness and saturation to the images.
a contact sheet and my bag full of litter
