February 2017
February was a great month! I was back on Stanley and I was starting to work on my D3 riding! The grid was set up in the indoor and we had really worked on Stanley's striding, which is much better by the way. We also had two solid cross country rides! In February! Wow!

January 20, 2017 update: so today is the inauguration and honestly it has me so jumpy and scared. ANYWAY, i do have some updates. tevye has been amazing in all of the show prep and stress of the past few weeks. we are actually only doing 18" because of the cold and how his back is. in last nights lesson we did a lot of leg work so that way i'll be a good hunter rider for the weekend. i'm so proud of all i have accomplished and how much he has taught me. tonight i am staying the night at the barn and i'm so excited to see some of the girls i haven't seen in ages! i plan to clean and clean and clean tevye. the gif above is from tuesday and so he wasn't as dirty as he was last night! i hope everyone has an AMAZING weekend!

2016- start of 2017 recap
january: not the best month. had a ROUGH ride and was terrified to get back on the horse even though i was forced to, which made it worse. (psa: don't force your students to get back on horses that they're uncomfortable on) february: i started working with a horse that was a complete saint. he was relearning everything and was an angle at it. march: clinic with trainer Jill Jewett who taught shrek and i a lot. april: back on crazy thoroughbred (he's not crazy he just hates the cold and so he gets a little rambunctious) may: when was i not riding? june: four rough falls in a week, bad show, new helmet. july: last time riding until september august: the worst month ever because i wasn't riding. september: my start at greenmarch where i met all of my new amazing friends and the ponies. i said "i'm never doing hunters again" (guess what i'm showing this weekend?) october & november: i started riding wayyyyyy more than i ever had. a few pony club testings and the usual. december: pony club testing, holidays, and good rides. beginning of january: i have started regularly riding tevye and am showing him this weekend (01.21.2017) in the 2ft hunters and i can't be more excited. i have only ridden him a few times but he's taught me so much.

There should be a Friends spin off show about a group of friends who always go to Central Perk but can never sit on the couch because the other friends are always there.

i would save money for the next year
Opinions much needed!
Would you consider that going to a show to do a smaller/lower class than you normally do, would be either a:
A.) waste of money
B.) gain of experience
To take Into consideration: - it’s the last show of the year -shows are ridiculously expensive where I live. ?
