I wonder if Home changed after that night. He doesn't drive anymore and he keeps the car hidden away so it does affect him in some way. But I wonder if before he was even louder, more outrageous, or if that part of his personality became more pronounced as a weird coping mechanism. How often, if at all, did it come back to haunt him in the states, knowing that living there was his own weird, not at all appropriate or comparable, punishment. How much did it change his relationship with his grandfather? With his uncle?

Did he think about the accident at all when he came back, even if only out of fear that the consequences of his actions would finally come back to haunt him? Did he even know that the person survived after all?

What is he going to do now?

just thinking about jack sacrificing his own chances at freedom to protect those even less fortunate than himself despite being fully aware that 'its a trap' and most likely what boss is counting on.

about jack being so painfully honorable that even when he holds his own collateral in his hand and the golden opportunity to slip away and run from all his troubles he simply can't because it will inevitably cause other people suffering.

about jack not calling for attention when he realizes joke is there but quickly going to confront him himself even before he hears about joke's plan to help all the debtors reunite with their collateral. not calling for back up even when he does corner joke; insisting joke makes things right himself but then when there's even the slightest chance of joke actually getting caught not hesitating to make sure he gets out of there unscathed.

about jack listening with clenched jaw as people get hurt because of a choice he made; as his grandmother tells him one of the debtors dies right after he was uncharacteristically ruthless with him because he was left no choice; as he's asked if he isn't tired trying to save the world in what little ways he can but still being so tied up in all the violence around him.
