i had two or three dreams where i lived in california. you know that i've had to romanticise the absolute fuck out of that. i've been aiming for this transition from melancholic-and-self-critical-twenties to confident-beach-babe-thirties. posture is good, a few pairs of nice retro sunglasses, listening to father john misty, sunscreen always, i started making matcha lattes in the morning rather than coffee for a change of pace. i've been practicing creating a smoky eye look w colourpop's blowin' smoke palette, small and/or dolly/manga falsies, and black or dark brown liner.

— Hélène Cixous, The Book of Promethea
