Hello! Halloween is quickly approaching, but this cold chill is from something different... It is from the applications for this year's Homestuck Secret Santa! The form will be posted on October 21st at Midnight CST! Feel free to spread the word, and start thinking about what characters you would want to be gifted a present of. ⛄

I was @mothistopheies secret santa for the @homestuckss this year! I saw that you had JadeVris on your list and as it has been literal years since I drew Jade (and my first time ever drawing Vriska) I wanted to try my hand at it! Just a nice little mesh of both their canon rooms in the earlier morning.

I hope you've had a good Christmas and that you enjoy the gift!

my @homestuckss gift for @overmega ! their request included "Aradia/Sollux, College AUs, 2000s/Scene AUs (a la rawr xD cringefest)" and i was soooo excited to draw it. scene aus i love you so so much<3 this was a joy to draw!!!

Malurus argentum - a drawing of Sova as an elizabethian fairy for hollownull!!!

-the name Malurus argentum is a play on latin names: Malurus comes from the Malurus genus of birds known as fairywrens (bird motif + fairy theme), and argentum is latin for silver

-hairpiece is from Sova's play, Upon the Twelfth Hour

-wings have colors from LODAL (Land of Daze and Lattice), pureself design, and blood color

-the hair draped around her face has the heart motif

-small Cooperi rests on a modified falconry glove, which is embroidered with a quarter note rest

-her corset has repetitive 3 pronged embroidery, mimicking the alchemy symbol for Silver

-the locket is from [S] Ellsee: Enter and the chain is draped in a heart shape

-the lower wing is 3 pronged, also mimicking the silver alchemical symbol. the wings also have modified arrows on them, for the same reason.

-her skirt is based on butterfly wing scales, made of repetitive rectangles overlapping each other

-her loose ponytail is held in place by a smaller butterfly

notes on some of the details -

the small embroidery on vriska's shirt is an 8-ball with the light aspect symbol in the viewport, with 8s because Vriska

the small embroidery on rose's cape/hood is the light symbol + a drop of water (because of the land of light and rain!)
