I feel like, on a subconscious level, the only reason most of us even like DSaF is because of fanon stuff or nostalgia. The writing is umm... and no character is as complex/fleshed out as people make them out to be. The writing is eye-to-eye with your average gamejolt game, but can we stop pretending this game isn't rushed as fuck because DD was dealing with shithous 'fans'? The entire interaction Dave and Dee had was so on-the-nose. Instead of the slow progression it could've been, we instantly know Dave was manipulated by Henry. Thus Dave's intelligence is disrespected and the characters just... let him be oblivious. Dave didn't even apologize by the end of their interaction, by the way! IK Henry forced him too but wtf man. (Actually, continuity error. In DSAF 2 he says he killed Dee all by himself.) Similarly with Steven. Steven immediately admits his guilt and oops! theres his entire character, go home guys! Steven had no fucking reason to be there. Nobody shows actually liking him, theyre just friendly with him if you did those interactions with object stuff in flipside. Couldn't have been even a little possible for Steven to be an old friend of the Kennedy's or something? Even just Peter. Not trying to hate on your opinion, and I dont care if you debunk mine. Just wanted to say this and don't have enough of a tumblr presence for it.
