BUT WE HAVE MADE THE DECISION, BASED ON FINANCIAL, PERSONAL, PHYSICAL AND FAMILY REASONS TO CLOSE THE BEAUTIFUL BIG DOORS AND CALL IT A DAY. 

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT AND LOVELY REVIEWS WHICH HAVE SEEN US GAIN COUNTLESS AWARDS.

Sad news!!! 😕☹️☹️😬😟😕😕☹️

Very sad news. After 8 years trying our hardest to continue the ongoing battle with increasing costs.. we can't do it anymore. Everything around us is eating us away. Increases everywhere. Rent. Electric. Wages. Food. Packaging. Insurances, now the uncertainty of Brexit and fish costs . .. list is endless. So with the heaviest heart we have to make a really tough decision.. Shop will cease trading on aug 31. We need to sell everything we own in the building. So if you know anyone who may be interested in fridges, freezers, tables, etc... Please let us know. It's been a tough but thoroughly enjoyable journey. Good staff and bad!! Wonderful customers. Theiving customers too!! Lol.. Awards won time and time again. All thanks to you lot!! Our lovely customers.. who have supported and made it all worth while. Appearance in The Times newspaper and NUMBER one on TripAdvisor at some point. ( From honest reviews too)!! 😀 The lovely kind gestures of passing it forward have been so appreciated.. a meal to someone Hungry.. is life. Thanks again xx We will miss you all.. will ya miss us??! 😍. Hopefully we will be that story you tell your grandkids.. " there used to be fabulous chippy there in that building... My favourite chippy. I travel from Hednesford to savour the fabulous offerings. One place i can eat safely knowing i won't get glutened. Possibly the best gravy the world has ever known............

Gluten free at all times.

This chip shop is my family's favourite place to eat. Gluten free breaded fish, chips and peas are the best and made fresh to order every time. The staff are all friendly and 'hey Steve', any chance of gluten free curry sauce?

Best chippy ever!!

Hey Steve! This place offer a great range of different gluten free options including fish cakes, burgers and even gluten free gravy 😁 cannot fault this place best chippy ever and the staff are all so nice and friendly too xx

Excellent food, couldn't fault it, shame the young lady behind the counter was so miserable, a smile goes along way in the service industry, that said i'd definitely go again for the food alone, excellent!

Gluten free fish and chips

Called in on the way to watch port vale v bury as I had seen it served gluten free fish. Great fish and chips, Good portion size and just round the corner from the footy ground.

Five star fish and chips

We drove a few miles to take advantage of the gluten-free menu. For my partner and daughter I ordered two traditional fish and chips, one large and one small, with a mushy peas as a side for the large and a sausage as a side for the small. I had the large gluten-free fish, chips and mushy peas. We ordered a coke, a water and a coffee too and the bill, to eat in, came to a very reasonable £21:68 - cheaper than many takeaways. The food itself was very good; great chips, fresh fish with a light, crispy batter and lovely peas. The portions are large. I really enjoyed my gluten-free fish as I hadn’t had battered fish for years. The proprietors have a loyalty scheme too and we are three-tenths of the way to a free meal. I hope that this cafe thrives as it offers something quite rare - gluten-free meals seven days a week.

Fantastic gluten free fish and chips!

Title says it all. Wish I had a place like this at home. Staff are friendly and the gluten free range looks superb. I stuck with the gluten free fish and chips and I am glad I did, they are fantastic! Would defenetly recommend.

Best gluten free chippy!

Huge range of gluten free options here plus all the usual chip shop favourites. Hubby tried the new hunters chips and declared them awesome. We travel 25 miles to visit and it's so worth it.

Eileen Hargreaves 1 review a month ago-Visited today with my grandson who has recently been diagnosed with celiac disease.  This is a devastating  time for anyone to have to cope with. He loves fish and chips,and this is the only fish and chip shop in the area who do a gluten free menu. He gave them 5 out of 5.and was highly delighted with his meal. This will be a place that we will be visiting again very soon. Please keep up the good work. l hope  that you know that you are helping celiacs to enjoy a meal without having to worry about being ill. A big thank you.

Jack Moran 5 reviews a month ago-Call into this chip shop regularly and they have good portion sizes! Not too greasy either and lovely fish. People working there are alway friendly, probably the best around I'd say.
