I was to slow and I lost them all.
They were at a full sprint and I was on a jog.
I made sisters and brothers.
We practically lived together,
and now theyâre gone.
I was lost for eight months
and it was too long.
The start of the end,
we drifted apart.
I urged them to get close,Â
then pushed them away.
Pushed to the edge,
I would give them my hand and pull them back in.
Only to repeat it all over again.
But hey, this stuff happens.
Apologies can be made,
then accepted or denied.
Hurt or not,
life canât wait
time moves on.
no matter how much you wish for it...

my 2 cents on the repeal of the DACA and immigration in general
(just a rant because some people drive me up the damn wall with their ignorance)
Many people in our society tend to blame the individual. The kid that is a DREAMER. Saying shit like âwhy are they hereâ, âwhy did they come hereâ,â they are the problemâ, â they are the reason for this and thatâ.Â
Did anyone even consider the thought that maybe they did not want to immigrate into to the U.S and other countries? Many of those participating in the DACA program came here as young children. They were not able to make decisions for themselves. their parents made it for them. But the parents did not tell them âoh, lets go to another country so we can annoy the shit out of them and âtake their jobsâ.â NO. They immigrated  out of necessity because their government is shit and cannot help or protect them.
Whole families immigrated into the U.S and other countries in hopes of finding safety and security. And some immigrated on their own with no family, no money, and no knowledge of where they are heading and what is to come. And most of those that came alone were and are children.
Again, most children immigrate into the U.S and other countries at a very young age, they had no choice as to whether they would stay in their home country or move to another country. it was not their decision. they just woke up one day thinking it was going to be a normal day, until their parents come in and say; come on, we are getting in a crowded truck, boat, on top of a crowded and dangerous train, we are getting on a  crowded plane, we are going to hike across mountains, deserts, forest and divers, and crossing a border to another country. If you think about it, we usually say, âif they put in that much hard work and effort, then they deserve it.â Well, guess what they did. they risked their already endangered lives in even more risk to escape the country that was hurting them and putting them in danger.
When those people go into another country, they usually have nothing to their name. so of course they will need to find a job. But they are not taking our jobs at all. They take the dirty, back breaking, labor intensive, and disgusting jobs that no one else would take. They may not like it, but they take it willingly and without hesitation to feed themselves or their family. They are not taking your nice office job, they are taking the jobs out in the fields under the hot sun through extreme heat warnings. they are working in packing houses, cleaning schools and office buildings and maybe your homes. They are cleaning streets, they are making crafts and clothing to sell.
The DREAMERS are studying, they want to better themselves and their families lives. They want to earn their way into a good job, not take it. They want to work with you, not go in and replace you. They have gone through some shit just to get here. DO you really think that they want to put you, a natural born citizen, into a situation where you are going through hardships. No. they know suffering, and they will not make you suffer by taking your job, because they are not taking your job. they are working alongside you.Â
DREAMERS do not take. Immigrants do not take. They work hard to get somewhere. and they have proved that by coming here and risking their lives. that is also true about every country who is recently having a surge of immigrants going into their country. they are not there to take. they are there because they are hoping for help and protection from a country that could not help them and was putting them in danger.
DREAMERS have proven that they know English or have learned English while here, most have jobs, most have shown that they are not delinquents or have any history of delinquency. So why not create a program to help speed up the naturalization process for them. Create loans specifically for that, and have intervention programs to help them become citizens. Why instead of exposing them to the possibility of deportation, we give them a chance to become citizens?
