That’s ridiculous.  In Star Trek, replicator technology is part of the same tech tree as transporters.  Replicated food would be identical to the food it was based on, down to the subatomic level.

“Do you have these highlighted?”

“And in this paragraph it specifically says that I have scars on my ridges, but then, again, later they’re described as having ‘smooth scales’. It can’t be both.”

“Why did you read so closely?”

“Evidence!!” Dukat’s ch’ufa tinged blue.

I like this dialogue because I think I really captured Sisko’s annoyance with Dukat. I also like embarrassing Dukat. :)

“This hurt like that.” She squeezed her shoulder.

I also LOVE this one because the whole point of the chapter was the language barrier. I basically took the mistakes I often made when I was first learning Spanish and used them for a Cardassian learning to speak Bajoran. I also really like showing Nerys’s reluctance to befriend Sitam.
