"Aiden... Get Rose to safety, NOW!" Celeste's last text sent moments before The Darkness was released from The Mark of Cain. She had no idea what it would do to her, the man she loved, or her daughter. All she knew was that she needed them safe.

Aiden didn’t really have a lot of time to act. Not knowing how or if anything would work against whatever Celeste was trying to warn him about. But he did following what steps where needed to protect his daughter.

Celeste has been gone for so long, I was just assuming that somehow you would've abandoned her by now. After all, she is a huntress, she's gone almost 24/7, you must really have a strong heart and trust in her.

“Of course I trust her. As for what she does, I will always have faith she will come home unless someone trust worthy tells me otherwise. If you think I’d just give up on her, then you clearly have never been in love.”

Do you still love Celeste Winchester, Aiden?

“Of course I do, what kind of stupid question is that?”

“Other than the one time Riddick found out someone tried to kill the twins. Nothing. I think some idiots still mistake me for Vaako and too scared to do anything..” He mused. “Not that I’m inclined to correct them anytime soon. 

"Hey dear." Aiden murmured. Pulling Neri into a kiss as he nuzzled her. "How is everything?"

Neri smiled and wrapped her arms around him and returned the kiss happily. “Not too bad. I’ve missed you.”

Aiden loved every moment he had with Neri. Not one thing he hated. Nuzzling the other as he listened to her talk for a moment. 

Chuckling as he nodded. “Yeah. They will learn eventually, even if it leads to one being eaten. Casey’s been given the go ahead by Vaako to do what she needs to do. Slipped back into the Cheshire persona too.”

"Hey dear." Aiden murmured. Pulling Neri into a kiss as he nuzzled her. "How is everything?"

Neri smiled and wrapped her arms around him and returned the kiss happily. “Not too bad. I’ve missed you.”

I’ve been contemplating making this for so long. It seems like every YA fantasy book I come across is the daughter of something or other.

Aiden smirked as he pulled Neri closer. Stealing a kiss from her as she chuckled. “No complaints here.”

He hummed in thought looking up at the ceiling. “Yeah, but this is getting ridiculous now. If they couldn’t kill her the first time, what makes the other thousand times any different?” 

"Hey dear." Aiden murmured. Pulling Neri into a kiss as he nuzzled her. "How is everything?"

Neri smiled and wrapped her arms around him and returned the kiss happily. “Not too bad. I’ve missed you.”

“Course not.” He mused. Nuzzling a bit as he chuckled. Remembering that moment. Served the nobles right. 

“I think Casey is considering a public show that she isn't to be trifled with. If that happens I advise keeping Gen and Lan in the room. If Casey slips into her unique madness someone is lunch. Last time it happened she ate the first dormouse.” He murmured. 

“Case told me that riddick said Vaako could kill the nobles if he felt it needed. Course he said than no one would be left to run the armada.”

"Hey dear." Aiden murmured. Pulling Neri into a kiss as he nuzzled her. "How is everything?"

Neri smiled and wrapped her arms around him and returned the kiss happily. “Not too bad. I’ve missed you.”

Aiden could only shake his head as he chuckled. “Course not, then again your playful nature usually ends in a tumble or having teased me till I drag you to bed.”  

“I was waiting to see if he tried to kill her. Surprised that never happened. Even if their getting together was a result of as she bluntly put it, angry sex.” He mused. “I doubt that will happen, though I have seen him smile once or twice I imagine thats something only Casey sees.” 

He shook his head. “Casey provides to much life in an otherwise dead place. Plus I’m pretty sure the message will get across if they keep trying to kill her only to end up dead themselves.”

"Hey dear." Aiden murmured. Pulling Neri into a kiss as he nuzzled her. "How is everything?"

Neri smiled and wrapped her arms around him and returned the kiss happily. “Not too bad. I’ve missed you.”

“You sure you weren’t a trickster?” He teased. Nodding a bit as he leaned back to relax. Keeping Neri close. “Thats good, course Casey tells me at least every other meeting the nobles try to get her offed. Which usually fails even when they try to get help from the other ships.” He chuckled. 

“Think thats cause she somehow made friends with a man who has control no matter what. Despite her annoying moments...that and Vaako.”

"Hey dear." Aiden murmured. Pulling Neri into a kiss as he nuzzled her. "How is everything?"

Neri smiled and wrapped her arms around him and returned the kiss happily. “Not too bad. I’ve missed you.”

“Course. MPSD here remember if thats not a bit crazy I don’t know what is.” The brunette mused. Chuckling a bit and nodded. “Oh Casey knows, she also knows they keep trying to have her killed but its not working.”

"Hey dear." Aiden murmured. Pulling Neri into a kiss as he nuzzled her. "How is everything?"

Neri smiled and wrapped her arms around him and returned the kiss happily. “Not too bad. I’ve missed you.”

“Course not, multiple personalities can atone for that.” He chuckled. “Course and they are attached to Casey of all people.” Aiden added in. 

"Hey dear." Aiden murmured. Pulling Neri into a kiss as he nuzzled her. "How is everything?"

Neri smiled and wrapped her arms around him and returned the kiss happily. “Not too bad. I’ve missed you.”

“Honestly, this is Rumpelstiltskin we are talking about here. If he wants to come back, which there is a large chance he does. He’ll find a way.” He informed. “IT just means its going to take longer because he won’t have magic, but still know what he’s doing to a degree.”

“And be a wanted person.” He pointed out. “She’s been fine, missed her mom like any child would.” He said. Watching the two most important people in his world. “He could come back and who knows what he’ll bring back.”

“Gold was forced out of the town by Bell using the dagger. He hurt her emotionally because he kept striving for power instead of being happy with what he had. Nearly killed Hook and the others. Its just...a long story.” He breathed softly. Remembering the fiasco with the Ice Queen and such.
