The "TME/TMA is a new gender binary interrogating me about my genitals" suspiciously invested in "AMAB/AFAB Socialization" theory.

wizard college is going to kill me I swear to god. I just saw someone without a component satchel reach into their pocket and pull out a handful of LOOSE tapioca to use as a substitute for blood in their fell ritual. and it worked. I've never been so fucking mad.

people need to have higher standards for what being “pro-trans” means

btw if you think "no one is transmisogyny exempt" thats just denial of transmisogyny existing and minimizing our opression. hope this helps

"Trans women are actually women for real, not in a metaphorical sense, not in a "anyone can be anything" sense, but genuinely actually make more taxonomic sense to classify in the category of women than any other group" is a position you'll find is pretty radical even in queer spaces

I think the straight up worst take on gender abolitionism by far is like "in the gender abolitionist utopia nobody would feel the need to transition medically"
Fuck you. That's completely backwards. True gender abolition can't be achieved without total bodily autonomy and genuine freedom to have whichever bodies we want.
The suggested "utopia" here is just a cisnormative one where you're not allowed to accurately name it as such.

until he apologises for perpetuating misinformation about autism & HRT on his science channel, i think it’s about time we just started discussing Hank Green as somebody who hates autistic people and trans women. dude lies about/misrepresents scientific data about disability & transition to liberals for a living. centrist alex jones ass

Saying “trans men do not ever benefit from male privilege because the patriarchy doesn’t value trans men” is like saying “white trans people do not ever benefit from white privileged because white supremacy doesn’t value trans people”. it’s a sleight of hand misdirection. of course white trans people benefit above trans people of color. of course trans men benefit above trans women. this is basic intersectional feminism, which was originally coined to describe how, yes, of course black men have privilege over black women; the zeitgeist & hierarchy of wider society cannot be opted out of with identity politics — the material reality is the same; transfeminine people struggle with homelessness, unemployment, suicide, experiencing sexual violence & violent hatecrimes at a provably higher rate than demographically equivalent transmasculine people. to deny this is to deny that you are susceptible to being influenced by wider society.

I will try to write up a more coherent piece on this at some point, because it's a really great example of community-driven archaeology and the sort of project I want to see more of.
Today I got to see part of a 550 year old wooden fish trap! Specifically one of the side panels, about 70cm tall and a whopping 5.5m (yes, meters!) long. The trap was built on Pentlatch territory and used to capture salmon. It's absolutely gorgeous in person, though rather difficult to photograph since it's still undergoing conservation.
The verticals and topmost horizontal pieces of wood in the picture on the left are modern pieces there to stabilize it and assist in transport. On the right is a view down the storage tank.
For additional information see:
Tidal Belongings: First Nations–Driven Archaeology to Preserve a Large Wooden Fish Trap Panel Recovered from the Comox Harbour Intertidal Fish Trap Complex in British Columbia
By Sean P. Connaughton, Genevieve Hill, Jesse Morin, Cory Frank, Nancy Greene, and David McGee

I know this happens and it looks suspicious but
this image? we have every reason to think it is a cucumber, like it was made in clay models in burials period, it's painted green, it's on the small side of things (9.6 cm or 3 3/4 inch)
oh right and it was placed on a model offering table with small model bread and drinking cup
sometimes a cucumber really is a cucumber.
