I think of myself as "hypoverbal" which is a term I don’t come across, especially online for some reason. I want to have a way to accurately describe myself and my experiences. this is the term I settled on a few years ago.

PSA:
Many autistic people, like me, use headphones as a disability aid, so please do not:
Tell us to take them off.
Say we're rude for wearing them.
Make fun of us for wearing them.
Try to take or borrow them.
I don't know if other autistic people have these problems, but all of these things have happened to me.
I need my headphones, to prevent pain from sensory stimuli, and to alleviate anxiety as a comfort item. They are not just for fun or fashion.
Please respect my disability aid.

me carrying a stuffed animal around while being disabled is not "infantilizing disability"
I am an actually disabled person who carries a stuffed animal as comfort bc disability is hard
what's "infantilizing disability" is assuming that just bc I carry a stuffed animal I'm not capable of making decisions for myself. or that having a stuffed animal makes me a less serious, adult person than you are.

xp / [x]p
a catchall term for safe persons, equal persons, favorite persons, etc.
how do i use it?
ex: my xp went to the store today.
ex 2: today, my [x]p drew something!
who can use it?
everyone with a personality! it was mostly made for anonymity purposes, beings with PDNOS, and beings with PD-TS, but it can be used for other purposes.
this is not a gender, do not tag as such.
don't repost <3 ask before adding to wikis

Do you struggle to say/send "Happy Birthday" to someone because they're maybe not happy so it'd be incorrect? And are you autistic?
-Yes I struggle to say HB for those reasons and I'm autistic.
-Yes I struggle to say HB for those reasons and I'm not autistic
-I struggle to say it, but for other reasons and I'm autistic.
-I struggle to say it, but for other reasons and I'm not autistic.
-I don't struggle to say it, autistic
-I don't struggle to say it, not autistic
-other/results
(It's OK if you ID as autistic without a formal diagnosis.
Note: asking because recently my aunt had a birthday, and I know she is going through a bad point in her life, struggling a lot, so I knew her day was not going to be "happy" and I struggled to sent her a text with that phrase. I'm autistic so I'm wondering if anyone shared a similar experience)

I made AuDHD pride flags!!!
The colors don't actually mean anything, or at least i didn't give them a meaning (u can if u want), i just picked them from various different autism and adhd flags.
The symbol i made myself! It's a butterfly, like adhd one, but with wings pointing downwards and autism symbol inside.
I know that there's like a split version with one half butterfly and another infinity symbol, but i don't like it because it's asymmetrical.
There's also a version of each with rainbow butterfly!!
I hope you like them!!

Imagine someone says they "go autistic" every time they get awkward,
and you as an autistic person tell them "hey! You can't go autistic, autism is an identity!"
And they respond with "actually no, social communication disorder is the (SCD) identity!! You actually have SCD and going autistic is the word to describe going awkward!"
That would be really annoying wouldn't it be? Someone using your identity, the word you use to find others like you and to find support which the term autism as ALWAYS described people like you, them trying to change the meaning then telling you, you are actually something else? Really, really annoying.
Apply this situation to people calling verbal shutdowns/temporary speech loss "going nonverbal" then telling nonverbal people who call them out they are actually mute.
ITS REALLY ANNOYING.

very important when people say “mobility aid, health device etc not ruin outfit, still look good look fashionable.” Understand what trying to combat.
But also know it okay if mobility aid not look stylish. If cuffs and monitors and ostomy bags stand out and plain medical colours. If hair not look nice because more comfortable that way, not pain or headaches. If braces show over or under clothes.
Important important know you disabled/chronically ill and beautiful stunning handsome. But also don’t have to be. Don’t have to overperform for anyone else’s comfort. Your health comfort safety more important that appearance. Love y’all.

we are not reviving the r slur. if you hear someone say it tell them to cut that shit out. it’s not funny or edgy and we need to make people embarrassed and uncomfortable saying it
