So I’m officially back to school, I got my schedule and I’m taking the same subjects I took last year and some extras, also I have homework nothing says back to school like homework.

hey hi hello everyone, my name is julie, and as you can tell, i’m new to the studyblr community! there’s not much to know about me, but i’m gonna tell you guys stuff anyway.

i’m 16 years old

i’m a sophomore in high school

i live in colorado and it’s lit

i absolutely adore music, writing, and graphic design

i’m originally from the philippines but i grew up in the us

i’m 200% sure i’m the actual rory gilmore

i was inspired to make a studyblr by @studyign @educatier @aescademic @dotgrids @focusign @studiants @studywithbun @studypetals

that’s all there is really but i hope to make some cool friends and manage to stay focused on here now that i have this blog! anywho feel free to reblog this and stuff so i can follow you and maybe we can be friends :D

Tips for the Beginning of Your School Year or Semester

Hello Everybody! 

I know that many of you are starting your school year or semester and I wanted to make a list of things for you guys to keep in mind while tackling your new classes just to keep you focused and less stressed. I hope these help you out! 

Tip 1: Start your year or semester with a Positive Mindset! I know things happen that are out of our control, trust me, I thought I would be starting off my senior year in college healthy and ahead of everything, but I got into a horse riding accident 4 days before my first day of classes started and I’m not going to lie, sitting through 2 hour classes with a sore back is pretty brutal, but that is okay! Nothing can really hold us back from excelling and doing well. Also, not complaining really helps people move forward and be able to not give up and keep trying hard. It’s hard to not complain, but it’s a lot healthier to bring yourself up than to bring yourself down. 

Tip 2: Do not forget to Take Breaks or Relax if you feel stressed! It’s okay to take time for yourself to help unwind and collect your thoughts if you are struggling. 

Tip 3: Try your hardest no matter what! Even if you may fail or do not perform as well as you had hoped, keep trying and you will be able to succeed! One bad score does not mean you will fail an entire class or course, I promise. 

Tip 4: Make the most out of your semester or year! Just because you are in school does not mean you cannot create memorable moments or you cannot have fun! You are only a student once in your life, and when people say these years are the best years of your life, they really are so make the most out of them and have fun!

So it’s the second day of the year and I tought why not doing this tag?, I actually was just browsing something to post and I found Caitlin’s Corner’s video, so let’s go ahead and start with this tag!

The questions are:

1. How long have you been bullet journaling?

I’ve been bullet journaling since last year, around june and july while I was on summer break at school.

2. What makes the bullet journal system right for you?

I think that the Bujo system works for me because it motivates myself to be more creative and have a beautiful page and I wouldn’t like to have a blank space on it, so I would always look at it and tick all my stuff as done and also do it.

3. What notebook do you use to bullet journal and why?

I use a  NOTEBOOK COVERPELL by didex, why? because it is doted, has a cover that allows me to protect the notebook, is the perfect size for me, allows me to bring on it my documents, money among other things.

4. What’s your go-to pen?

My go-to pen is a Faber Castell Grip Finepen 0.4, in the shade black, it’s as pigmented as I want it to be, it doesn’t ruin my notebooks and I also have it in other 12 shades.

5. What’s your bullet journal style? (i.e. fancy? minimalist? etc?)

I like to keep my Bujo minimal but also to look perfect, I don’t like to have to correct thing or to cross them out, so I usually leave them but take a little space to cross it out in a pretty way.

6. What’s your favourite page to set up each month?

I love to do my weekly spreads because I have all my information for the week and I like to see ahead and plan ahead what I’m doing for the week.

7. Where do you get inspiration from?

I get my inspiration from Intagram, I usually follow the hastag planwithmechallenge or on youtube the plan with me videos everyday, I get really good ideas from there, or of course tumblr.

8. What’s your bullet journal routine? (i.e. where do you plan and at what time of the day?)

I do my monthly spread a week before every month starts, the weekly spread the sunday before, and everyday I update my daily spreads, all of those at my nightstand at different time of the day

9. Page you’re most proud of?

I’m really proud of my books to read and movies to watch pages, I really took my time with it and at the end of the year they are going to be really beautiful.

10. Number one tip for beginners?

My number one tip is: Don’t be afraid to try new things, not everyone can work with the same things and this is the one thing I love the most from this system, you can adjust it so it works the best for you.
