You probably get asked this a lot, but how do you draw hands? Even when I'm tracing, they look so weird 🙃

Imagine opening a window for a smoke at 2am. Your ex’s foo foo cat leaps out the window, so you grab your jacket and your ex’s crocs to go outside to get her.

Then, every building in the world and everyone inside them are smashed and sucked into the ground.

You and everyone else who survived? You have the option of trying to survive on the surface, or fight to get your planet back in an underground dungeon/labyrinth for the entertainment of aliens.

You’re essentially in a video game/reality show no one expects you to win, with a cat as your only companion.

I’m not even accurately giving you all the information about this book. There’s so much going on. It’s being adapted into a series, and I think it will be perfect for that. It will be amazing as a show.

I, on the other hand, feel like I’ve hit a real breakthrough. I am really really happy with the skin folds and the fabric.

It’s not perfect. The upper body has issues for sure, but I’m just gonna blame it on the pose and angle and call it a day. We’ll work on it with the next one. 🙃

Fanart Friday! 🎉 So I Married an Alien by @lyonnerileyauthor

This is one I got as an ARC, but I also got to watch it come together on Tumblr which makes it feel like an extra special book. 🤭

I’m a huge fan of alien romance, and I thought it was a fun twist to have the alien come to her as a mail-order husband instead of the other way around.

It’s pretty low-angst and super sweet. She’s lonely after the loss of her cat, and he’s just trying to get off the miserable station he’s been stuck on. Will they find a true connection or is this a temporary fix?

I enjoyed myself thoroughly while reading, and it’s a short one so if you just want a quick serotonin boost, this is a great option!

the book that's tumblr's fault

yeah. that's right. you guys convinced me to turn the "mail-order alien groom" post into a book. he's everything you asked for, down to the tragic backstory.

So I Married an Alien is a steamy rom-com about one four-armed alien discovering the "secrets" of Earth (like spiders and Halloween) and the human woman who wants nothing more than to find her happily ever after with him.

there's gratuitous sex with a weird peen, some clubbing and drinking, earthling humor and a wee bit of angst.

When I bring him into my mouth, Roth’kar lets out an unguarded groan.

“Shavek,” he mutters, which must be a Karthinian word that doesn’t translate. Perhaps a curse or a prayer. “That is incredible.”

I’ve barely begun. Thinking wicked thoughts, I keep him shallow for a few moments, sucking and circling with my tongue. Then, as he shivers under me, I sink his culans deep into my throat. I take it as far as I can, and I’m rewarded by Roth’kar’s hips bucking up off the couch. The ridges tickle as I swallow them up, then hollow my cheeks and suck as I pull him back out again.

“Oh, Amara.” When I look up, his culans still buried in my mouth, my alien is staring down at me with huge, black pupils. “That is exquisite. Is this… also kissing?”

I almost choke on his alien dick. Carefully, I slide him out from between my lips.

His culans flex in my hands, those soft teeth extending and shuddering.

“It is an incredible thing,” Roth’kar says, almost reverently. “This blowjob.”

“Do you not do this back home?”

“No. It is…” He tries to find the right words. “Ah, intercourse is perfunctory. It is not a dance, a tease, as this is.”

I think I understand. He’s never had a lot of foreplay and just dove right into the thick of things before.

“It’s an exploration, too,” I offer, still stroking him with a gentle, measured evenness. “A way for us to get to know each other better.” Already, spending all this time with his bizarre, wonderful cock has made me… thirsty. I have a craving between my thighs, imagining this inside me. What would it feel like when those two halves separated? What could they do?

“I would be getting to know you better if you weren’t wearing so many clothes,” Roth’kar says, a little hint of a smirk on his face.

“Then let me fix that.” I release him, and the two culans separate, waving in the air while I reach for the zipper on my skirt. Then I pull it down, and while I’m at it, I toss away my underwear, too.

Roth’kar’s gaze is pinned on me. “Now I would like to be the one to explore.”

Rendering Study

Felt the need to work on rendering some more. I think my biggest issue at the moment is my unwillingness to work on something for more than a couple of hours before I get bored and want to move on. Thank you, AUDHD! 😅

I know that to render something to the level I want to reach, means I need to work on something for more than like 3 hours. (This one took about that long.) BUT I also have a hard time keeping motivated on a piece for much longer than that. This has always been a thing for me.

(Excepting commissions! 😜 There's a whole different motivation set there.)

So, I guess I just need to keep working until I get the skill set needed to do better rendering quicker. We'll see how it shakes out, I guess.
