‘lac lunae: a journal of coil studies’ is intended as a platform and forum with which to explore the work and history of the band coil, its themes, and related works. while there have been publications covering certain biographical and historical aspects of coil and its members (the core of geoff rushton [john balance] and peter ‘sleazy’ christopherson along with a revolving cast of wonderful artists in their own right) i have long lamented that there hasn’t been anything dedicated to a deeper exploration of the music and themes presented in the work and this project aims to correct that. further details to come. yrs., -.sjb.
