Ngl I think it would have been better if they’d played more into how the Hero Public Safety Commision literally bought Hawks from his mother and raised him to be their obedient child soldier. Like not even grooming or predatory recruitment campaigns for a Hero program, literally Black Widow child soldier stuff (although you could argue that the Commision didn’t go out of their way to abuse these kids; regardless, training child soldiers is inheritley abusive and exploitative).
Another good way to add some moral complexity to Hawk’s background (and fuel his whole crisis of morals while undercover with the League of Villains) would be if his parents were shown to be more caring- not necessarily “good” parents, but if they’d demonstrated that they were trying when it came to their son, that would have made Takami the Thief in particular more of a point of internal conflict for Keigo- the man was a villain, after all, but he still kinda...misses him? And then he feels guilty about missing a villain.
Also I want to see someone who doesn’t subscribe to the “stuff is screwed so I’ll just burn it all down because that easier” philosophy give the commission hell and Keigo (+friends and fam) would be perfect for the job.
Anyway this is now an AU and it’s living in my head rent free.

i think few people talk about how shouto's love is not just kind but closely resembles devotion. from the moment izuku saw him at the sports festival, he was willing to drop everything in hosu to rescue him. he would face the police to defend them from the improper use of quirks. he would take part in bakugou’s rescue without hesitation, and when izuku was accused of being a criminal in WHM, he simply assumed izuku was innocent. shouto decided very early in the narrative that izuku had captivated him, and because of that, he would never leave his side. in various illustrations, shouto is seen gravitating around izuku or simply looking at him with genuine admiration in his eyes. izuku is his absolute ride or die.

imagine you have to kill the love of your life, the only person who ever saw you as just you. not the strongest, not the savior of the world. no, just you. and he loved you for it.
you know you should take proper care of his body, people could do things with it, but no. this is your lover's body, you don't want to destroy it. not the body you spent so much time with. and so you don't, you give it back to his family. you think you're doing him a service.
and then, a year later, he comes back to you. but he's hurting you now, he talks differently. your eyes tell you it's him. it's suguru. it's your love. and you believe it, for a split second, you believe it. even though you felt his life drain away under your fingertips, even though he is different. he's hurting you. suguru wouldn't hurt you.
it's not him, how could it ever be him? no, it's some monster, a thing that has taken over his body, a thing that wears his skin. he wears his skin because you love him. because he saw all the memories you made together. he knows how much you love him, he knows suguru is the only one who could ever distract you. the only one able to distract the strongest. so what do you do? you scream, you plea—how long will you let them control you, suguru? and what does he do, what does your dead love do? he fights back, takes control of his own corpse, it's futile, it's also impossible, yet he did it. for you.
then you die. you die on the same day he did. it was inevitable, really. you spent your life as a living weapon (except when you were with him), you always knew it was going to end this way (except sometimes when you were with him you dared to hope). and when you die, what happens? they take your body and use it as a weapon. not only a living weapon, but a dead one too. they take your body and do the same thing they did with your lover.
oh, yes you were a weapon, but weapons have love and dreams too, do they not?

thinking about how suguru’s ultimate ideal was to create a world where sorcerers like himself and satoru wouldn’t be needed at all, much less overworked. but in leaving to pursue that goal he left jujutsu society with only one active special grade sorcerer, effectively dooming satoru to spend the last of his teenage years and all of his short adulthood being overworked by the higherups. and if suguru had meant a little less to satoru, if satoru valued his opinion only half as much, it wouldn’t have been a problem; but satoru truly did see suguru as his moral compass, so he let himself be used for the benefit of others when he likely wouldn’t have cared enough to do so before he met suguru. satoru let himself be worked to death because suguru left to make a world where nobody would need to be worked to death. even if suguru never talked to yuki and didn’t come up with an extreme plan, even if he just left jujutsu society behind the way nanami did, even if he stayed in contact with satoru, it couldn’t have changed anything between them. they were doomed from the second suguru gave satoru something to really care about, because suguru was never going to stay and satoru was never going to follow.

I wonder what was going through the Higher-Ups' minds when Yuta's reason for going after Yuji is "Inumaki's arm got cut off"...
Like, he didn't say "he killed hundreds of people" or "he destroyed Shibuya"...
He specified that Toge got hurt now he wants blood.

i still can’t get over how yuta’s fake reason for going after yuji is that sukuna cut off toge’s arm. not “he killed all those people” no the “believable reason” he gives the higher-ups for being down to kill yuji is that he supposedly harmed TOGE.

Okkotsu Yuta is such a funny character cause you're initially introduced to him as 'super powerful upperclassman studying overseas' and you go 'ah yes, I recognize this trope- this is a Secret Tool that will help us later, he will return an opportune moment when things look most dire to aid Our Heroes' but then you watch his prequel movie and realize it's all about him ending his toxic comp het relationship with his childhood best friend('s ghost) and getting what amounts to a magical divorce and then you realize he is a giant loser (affectionate) and actually he's not overseas training, he's off doing some 'eat pray love' white girl shit and trying to Find Himself post divorce, and you think "well good for him"-
AND THEN when he finally shows up in the story proper he's back in the EXACT SAME TOXIC COMPHET MARRIAGE he spent his prequel getting out of, because it turns out said marriage was the source of his Terrible Cosmic Powers and not only is he not here to help Our Heroes, he's gunning for the Main Protagonist specifically because said protagonist (accidentally) cut off his side piece boyfriend's arm and so he Must Die, and no it turns out that Yuta did not in fact learn anything from the events of the prequel about his attachment issues, co dependency, and letting go, and he fully intends to weaponize his toxic marriage to avenge his boyfriend in a conflict that could maybe level all Tokyo but who cares about that? A bad thing happened to Someone He Loved and it's Overreaction Time Baby.
Anyways, Okkotsu Yuta is a loser (overwhelmingly affectionate) and I support him 100%.
