self care for when you hit rock bottom
i fucking hate self care posts made by neurotypicals so here’s one from someone who Actually Gets It
-can’t shower or take a bath? me either. dry shampoo can make your hair look and feel cleaner, and baby wipes or makeup wipes work great to get the top layer of grime off your skin.
-can’t wash your sheets and make your bed? i feel you. push your blankets out of the way and shake the crumbs off your sheet. it will at least be a bit more comfortable.
-can’t even change out of your dirty pajamas? been there. hit yourself with some febreeze and a lint roller. if you can, brush your hair. if you can’t, hair ties and bobby pins are fantastic.
-can’t make anything to eat? same. if you can, there’s no shame in ordering food. in fact, it’s probably better you eat something rather than go hungry. if you can’t, try and find something that comes pre-made or takes minimal effort to make. at the very least, drink some water.
can’t respond to messages or reach out for help? yeah, i get that. set an alarm for a few hours from now and respond to any messages you need to once you’ve given yourself time to prepare. if they’re Important Messages that need Professional Responses, you can find fill-in-the-blank format rough drafts on google. as far as personal messages go, don’t feel bad for sending a mass “I’m sorry, I’m in a personal emergency right now. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.” response to everyone.
-can’t even sleep because it’s so bad? asmr videos always knock me out, personally, but i also watch a lot of bob ross. just try to find something quiet and soothing to use as background noise and take your mind off it, or at least give you a more peaceful environment to think about it.
-can’t go for a walk/drive? try opening the blinds or curtains. you’re still exposing yourself to the outside world. baby steps. (i also play animal crossing or sims; it may be virtual but fuck it. i went on a walk.)
-can’t go into work/school? let people know. let your coworkers or classmates know it’s an emergency and you can’t make it. give yourself up to two days, but then you have to go back. ask to have your work emailed to you so you know what you missed.
-can’t brush your teeth and wash your face? makeup or baby wipes and gum or mouthwash. don’t let yourself physically rot bc you’re rotting emotionally.
-remember that you’ve been here before. if you survived then you can survive now. that’s what this is about- survival. you don’t have to be living your Best Life. right now, it’s more than enough that you’re alive.

Announcement
Hello everyone!
I know I did one of these not too long ago, but I wanted to update everyone and let you know my (hopeful) game plan for this blog.
As I mentioned previously, I am moving into college in a week’s time. I’d like to establish a routine for myself before I continue to be super active on this blog, so with that in mind I am waiting to post any scenario until at least September.
My ideal goal for this blog is to post twice a week: Tuesdays and Fridays. One day would be oneshots, requests, etc. and the other day would be a multi-part work. I have three LONG multiple part stories in the works, but I would love more short pieces to work on. So please, send in requests! :)
To the people who are waiting on a request: yours is completed! I finished them a few nights ago. I am however waiting to post them so I can work on more and have a small collection to start my bi-weekly posting.
That’s about all for this update! Thank you to those who have waited - I’m grateful for each of you!

Needs and Wants: Part Two || Choi Junhong
Pairing: Zelo x Reader
Genre: Angst, Fluff
Word Count: 1,962
Summary: As Zelo’s best friend, you offer him a shoulder to cry on. He realizes just how often you’ve been there for him.
A/N: I had several requests for a sequel! I had so much fun writing this one. Oddly enough, I didn’t listen to “Girls Like You” at all when writing this half.
This scenario was loosely inspired by “Girls Like You” by Maroon 5.
You can find Part One by clicking here! This won’t make much sense unless you start at the beginning.
It had been a week since you left Junhong in his apartment on that fateful night, though it felt more like an eternity. The walk back home was full of muffled sobs and quick steps until you found yourself curled up on your bed, letting everything out. Even now, you couldn’t believe you had said what you said. It was something you always felt but never thought you’d admit, let alone admit to his face. The words seemed soaked in venom as you repeated them at your reflection and you imagined that’s how they felt when he heard them.
And you were right.
After you left that night, Junhong let himself slump down onto the floor, tears leaking from his eyes as he replayed your words over and over again. Had you really felt like that after all this time? He never realized that you had feelings for him. He cursed himself now for being so oblivious that he didn’t realize he had been hurting his best friend this whole time. You had never hinted at it, at least not that he could remember. And that was true. You hadn’t ever made it apparent. Honestly, you hadn’t told a soul about it. You didn’t want to do anything that could have jeopardized his career. You cared for him too much to let that happen. You loved him too much to let that happen. You only wanted him to be happy.
Only now, you knew you definitely weren’t. You didn’t know where the two of you stood now and you weren’t about to hear the words you dreaded. So you tried your best to put him in the back of your mind. You worked as if your life depended on it. You took the long ways home, avoiding places you two had frequented. You even cooked as if you were working for a five-star restaurant, and you hated cooking. You were just desperate to get him off of your mind and make yourself feel better.
And yet, a few days after you left you ran into Yongguk on your way home from work. Being the gentleman he was, he asked how you were and if he could walk you home. You let him, and soon enough the conversation turned to Zelo.
“I’m assuming he told you what happened?” you asked, glancing up at Yongguk.
He sighed. “He didn’t tell me until last night, but we could tell something was off. He hadn’t mentioned you before that and wouldn’t tell us how you were when you came over.”
You nodded. There wasn’t much more that you wanted to ask.
“He’s asked about you, though,” Yongguk continued, “he really thinks you aren’t going to see him again after what he did.”
You glanced down, nodding again. “I just don’t know where we stand anymore, Yongguk.”
“You still like him, right?”
Your eyes glanced up to your elder’s only to be met with a small smirk. “He’s the only one who hadn’t figured it out until the other night.”
Glancing down again, you felt yourself blush slightly as you gave a small nod. “I knew he didn’t feel the same way,” you murmured.
Yongguk huffed. “You don’t know that for sure, Y/N.” As you both reached the stairs to your apartment building, he offered one final piece of advice. “Your wants are temporary. At some point your needs become too much and replace your wants.”
You played his words again in your head as you sat on your couch, half-heartedly listening to the news. You missed Junhong terribly but you still didn’t want to reach out to him. If for no other reason, you were afraid he wouldn’t want you back. You were content with being ignorant if it spared your emotions.
As you were lost in your thoughts, your phone chimed. It wasn’t your usual chime, though. It was a chime you had set a long time ago for one specific person.
Junhong.
Can I come over?
You felt your heart rate speed up. Apparently this was the time to either patch things up or see him for the last time.
Sure.
You waited a few minutes before he sent a response.
Okay. Should I let myself in?
Key’s under the mat.
Okay, I’ll be there soon.
You sighed to yourself. You weren’t ready for this. You didn’t think you’d ever be ready for this. And yet, it was coming whether you liked it or not.
In the time it took Junhong to arrive, you washed the rest of your makeup off of your face and changed into a set of comfier clothes. You began to heat water for tea when you heard a knock on the door. He was at least being courteous in this whole ordeal.
Quietly you walked over to the door before glancing through the peephole just in case. To your relief, it was Junhong standing there, a bouquet of flowers in his hand. You slid your hand to the knob and opened the door, as ready as you’d ever be to face what came your way.
“H-hi Y/N, can I come in?”
You nodded, muttering a silent “yeah” as you opened the door farther and let him walk in. He looked like he hadn’t slept in weeks, but you assumed you looked the same way. As he turned around in your living room, he passed the flowers to you. He glanced at you momentarily, but his gaze kept falling to the floor. “I-I hope you like them.”
“Thank you,” you murmured, taking a quick whiff of the sweet fragrance. “I was making tea, did you want any?”
“No, it’s okay.”
The silence that followed was unbearable. Whenever Junhong and you were together, silence was almost non-existent. You took the opportunity to walk to your kitchen, placing your tea bag in your mug and pouring the hot water before reaching into your fridge. As you began to pour the milk into your tea, Junhong began to speak.
“Listen, Y/N, the reason I came over… well I didn’t know if you wanted to come over and I probably should’ve talked to you more before this, but- I-I just- I- tried my best to just let it go but I just COULDN’T- and I-”
He kept getting more and more flustered as he tried to come up with some words, some apology. His frustration at himself grew and grew until he was on the verge of explosion. And you heard it building behind you.
Setting the milk on the counter, you turned around to find him wiping at his eyes with his hands and taking in a breath to prevent tears from falling. It killed you on the inside to think he was hurting as bad as you were, that he wanted you back but didn’t know how to explain himself, that he was imploding on the spot in your kitchen trying to make it up to you.
“Come here,” you said softly, reaching for his shirt sleeve and pulling him closer to you. He took it a step farther, picking you up and setting you on your counter so you were his height and burying his face in the nape of your neck. His arms wrapped around you tightly, as if you were his lifeline. His body began to shake then, heavy sobs overtaking him. You tried to calm him down, rubbing his back gently with your fingers as he wept. And wept he did.
He wept for himself. He wept for the nights he spent away from those he loved for more practices and work. He wept for the countless others who put up the same problems. He wept for his own heart, having it broken by girls who hadn’t wanted to know him and only wanted the fame. And he wept for you too. He wept for you because he finally realized how you must have felt over the years- love coursing through your being and no way of expressing it. Constantly feeling trapped, alone.
You tried your best to hold him tighter, nuzzling him as best you could as you tried to keep yourself composed. As he continued to shudder in your embrace he began to find the words that failed him before this. “I’m so sorry Y/N…” he gasped out in between sobs, “I never meant to hurt you… I-I hadn’t known…”
“Shhh, shhh… It’s alright,” you whispered in his ear, feeling tears beginning to run down your own face. “I just want you to be happy.”
You felt him pull away from your embrace, and you took the opportunity to wipe at your own eyes. When you opened them again, you found Junhong’s eyes locked onto yours.
“Y/N, you make me happy.”
He leaned in again, but this time you met him halfway, pressing your lips to his. A few of his tears dropped onto your cheek as you reached a hand to cup his face, brushing the rest of them away with your thumb. You felt his fingers snake around to your back, keeping you steady as he leaned in further.
Just as soon as the kiss started, he pulled away, watching your face for any signs of anger or emotion. You saw the same emotion in his eyes that you saw during your first kiss, but this time you knew neither times were because of some girl. They were because of you. And this time, you mirrored that same feeling in your face. Years spent hiding your feelings and being “just a friend” crashed like a broken glass as you reached to him, wrapping your legs around his waist as you clung to him. He returned the hug, pressing a hand around the back of your neck as you nuzzled your face into the crook of his.
“I’ll say it again, Y/N,” he said, just loud enough so you could hear. “I really need a girl like you.”
You took a deep breath, trying to calm yourself down before moving to look at him. He released his hold on you to wipe away your own tears, offering the best smile he could manage. That was what you loved about Junhong- he always tried to make you happy too. As much as he needed a girl like you, maybe you also needed a guy like him.
You smiled back at him, reaching up to give another small peck to his lips. “Then it’s a good thing you have me.”
He smiled again, picking you up from off the counter. “It definitely is.”
You couldn’t believe any of this had actually happened, but you were determined not to let him go this time. Giving him a final squeeze, he set you down as you put away the milk and got a vase for the flowers. “Do you want to watch a movie?”
He nodded. “I’d like that.”
“Okay,” you said as you grabbed a few snacks and drinks before the two of you walked into your living room. You sat next to Junhong, but just as you set down the snacks, he wrapped an arm around your waist and pulled you down so you were in between him and the couch. Your head rested on his chest as he pulled a blanket down over the two of you and you picked a movie, snuggling in as the opening sequence began.
Sleep greeted you like an old friend as you and Junhong finished the movie. Between him and the blanket on both of you, you were the most comfortable you had been all week. Junhong was too, and as you were just falling asleep, he opened his mouth.
“You know what Y/N?”
You hummed lightly, signalling that you were awake. “What?”
“I’m so glad I have a girl like you.”

Little Update!
Hey everyone!
First off, a HUGE thank you for the notes and follows! I’m honored that you all like my work so much!
I apologize for not having any scenarios since my last ASTRO reaction. I’ve been helping out my family which means some pretty crazy hours. I do have a new work coming out on Saturday though, so stay tuned!
Lastly, I am moving in a few weeks! Scenarios might be a little sparce as I settle in, but I’m trying to plan accordingly. I have some pretty awesome ideas in the works and I hope to finish at least one of them before I move!
That’s about it! Remember to keep sending in requests, I love getting new ideas!
Thanks!

HI, THIS HURT MY HEART, will you be writing a (happy) sequel? Everything I write always ends sad and I realize how upsetting it is to read things like that now LOL post/175607901552/needs-and-wants-choi-junhong
It’s in the works! At first, I wasn’t planning on writing a sequel but as I’m writing it, it feels right to have a good ending.

ASTRO Reaction: Their Short Girlfriend
Anonymous said: Can you do an Astro group reaction when their short girlfriend asks them to reach something for her?
A/N: Here it is! This is honestly such a cute reaction . c: I’m 5′4″ so I could relate to this one a lot!
**Please note that this is just my opinion on the group and not actual fact!**
MJ: Myungjun would think you were the most adorable person ever if you asked him to get something down for you. Even though he isn’t the tallest member of ASTRO, he’d definitely enjoy you asking him to get stuff down from shelves. He’d throw in aegyo and act cute while grabbing whatever you needed, handing it to you with a kiss to your nose.
JinJin: You would get a smile and a nod as he walked over to help you. Even if Jinwoo was tired from leading the rest of the boys, don’t think for one second that he wouldn’t want to help you. He would grab the item in question with ease, setting it on the counter for you as he turned around to give you a quick kiss and ask if there was anything else.
Eunwoo: He would love it. Eunwoo would try to always be considerate of your shorter stature and would try to place stuff you used on lower shelves in case he wasn’t home when you needed it. But if there was something that you didn’t use all that often and you asked him to get it, he would gladly help. It was easier for him to reach it than you trying and risk hurting yourself. He’d pluck the object from its shelf and hand it to you, pressing a kiss to your forehead as he placed the object in your hands.
Moonbin: He’d love it. It’s a very simple and cliche way of expressing love for someone through actions, so he would have no problems grabbing something for you. The real fun is after he’s gotten the object but holds it hostage for some sort of reward for being such a good boyfriend. A cheesy smile would accompany him as he held the object above his head until you gave in and left a kiss on his cheek.
Rocky: Oh boy, prepare for the teasing. Minhyuk would definitely be the one who would purposely place stuff on higher shelves so you couldn’t reach it without his help and then tease you about it. The problem would be when he placed things too high for him to reach. After proclaiming that he was your tall knight in shining armor, you’d have a good laugh as your boyfriend had to grab a stool or something to reach it. He’d learn his lesson after that, placing things to where he could reach them on the ground, but still placing them just out of your reach.
Sanha: He would blush and nod politely. This would definitely make him feel good. Sanha’s young and he would probably be second guessing a lot of what he was doing in your relationship so if you asked him to help you with something, it would affirm that you needed him and he was doing something right. He would try so hard to be a man for you so this would reinforce that effort and remind him how you loved him if he ever reflected upon it.

Monsta X Reaction: They Aren’t Their Child’s Favorite Group Member
Anonymous said: Hi! Can I ask a Monsta X reaction when their child (toddler) says their favorite in the group is another member?
A/N: Sorry if this is so short! I tried my best to do this one justice (especially since it was my first request) but I’ll be first to admit this one took some thought. I hope you like it!
**Please note that this is just my opinion on the group and not actual fact!**
Shownu: This bashful leader would chuckle to himself as his child excitedly pointed to another member during a dance practice. I don’t really think he would care too much about who his child liked the most, but he might use it as another way to push himself as the leader.
Wonho: Teasing. And fake pouting. I don’t think Wonho would really care about who his child liked but he’d certainly put on a show to get his little one to laugh! Complaining about how devastated he is, dramatically placing a hand over his heart and just putting on a Broadway production while his child laughed at how goofy their appa was.
Minhyuk: He has been described as the mood maker of the group, so I think Minhyuk would egg his child on and cheer alongside them. He would see it as motivation to make the group better and would definitely use it to fuel his members in every tough dance practice and late night.
Kihyun: I think deep down he would be a little hurt. Kihyun would try so hard to be the best appa out there and if his child didn’t pick him as a favorite, I think he would feel like he wasn’t doing his best job and needed to do more for his child.
Hyungwon: Hyungwon might be a little bashful like Shownu if his child liked another member, but I think he would brush it off pretty quickly. He wouldn’t want to deter his child from any interests, especially one that involved him. He would just think his child was so cute for finding an interest in his work.
Jooheon: Aegyo. Lots and lots of aegyo. Jooheon would constantly remain at a level ten but if he wasn’t his child’s favorite group member? Game over. Those levels are getting cranked up to 11 or 12. He wouldn’t even care so much about his child liking another member as much as he would care that he was the king of aegyo and could always make his child laugh.
I.M.: Honestly I feel like I.M. would just be so happy that his child was taking an interest in his group and music that it wouldn’t matter who their favorite member was. Changkyun is very observant, so he definitely notices little things about each member. His child would probably be just as observant and would have reasoning for their favorite member. At the end of the day, Changkyun wouldn’t really care about their favorite member, because he knew that he was being the best appa he could be, and that’s what really mattered.

Needs and Wants: Part One|| Choi Junhong
Pairing: Zelo x Reader
Genre: Angst
Word Count: 1,017
Summary: As Zelo’s best friend, you offer him a shoulder to cry on. He realizes just how often you’ve been there for him.
A/N: This scenario was loosely inspired by “Girls Like You” by Maroon 5.
“Why do girls do this?”
You understood why Junhong was upset. You could tell he really liked this girl and she clearly didn’t realize that. But instead of just cutting him loose, she decided to play around and give him plenty of mixed signals, offering him little shreds of hope that she had similar feelings.
“I’m sorry Junhong,” you said sympathetically, “some people just don’t understand that feelings aren’t a joke.”
Truthfully, you had feelings for Junhong, but kept them well-hidden. The two of you had been best friends for years, and you didn’t want to potentially lose him as a friend. He was one of the few people you could really count on and tell anything to, and he did the same in return. You had heard about this girl for a while, as Zelo’s crush lasted many months before she started paying attention to him.
Gently he rested his head on your shoulder, both of your backs against the wall. His eyes remained on his phone as he kept scrolling through every message between this girl, hoping she hadn’t been serious. Looking for some clarification. Some warning. Anything that could have told him to stop wasting his time with her and move on.
You gingerly took his phone out of his hand and turned it off, laying it face down beside your leg. “How about we watch a movie?” you asked, hoping to take his mind off of her. He thought about it for a moment, then nodded, moving his head so he could get up and find a favorite you two shared. You walked out of his room to grab some snacks, but when you came back he was right back on his phone, laying on his stomach while the movie loaded. You gave a minor scowl before laying next to him and taking his phone once again. “Stop,” you said in a slightly forceful tone, “stressing about it will do more harm than good.” You switched your tone to a more caring one. “Just watch the movie with me and try to unwind, okay?”
“Okay.”
You were satisfied, knowing that there wasn’t much more you could do to help him. Watching the first scenes of the movie, you snuggled next to him and munched on some chocolate. Junhong’s brain kept replaying his conversations but soon his train of thought took a turn to you. He glanced over at you happily enjoying the movie. You had always been with him when he needed you. Through school, becoming an idol, and even when he was having problems with other girls. You never seemed jealous or upset, you helped him work through his problems and he always enjoyed seeing you. Maybe what he was looking for had been in front of him all along. You weren’t like any of the girls he dated, but he suspected that’s why you stayed so long when all of the others had left.
Mentally he kicked himself for not realizing this sooner but there was no point in dwelling on that for too long. He shifted so he was closer to you and linked his arm with yours, both of you resting comfortably on your stomachs. He always loved seeing you, no matter how busy he was. It seemed to just make so much sense. This wasn’t a want, he decided, it was a need. A need for you to be his, to not only be his friend but his other half.
You had noticed he was quiet for the whole movie and you assumed he was still thinking about her and where he went wrong. The poor boy didn’t even realize when the movie had ended, so you brought him out of his daze by ruffling his hair gently. “The movie’s over,” you whispered gently, “and it’s getting kind of late. I’m going to have to go home.”
He nodded solemnly. “Okay.”
As you got your things together his heart sank. He didn’t want you to leave. He wanted you to stay, to be with him tonight and every night just like you always were when he needed you. But he knew you had to leave nonetheless.
“Y/N,” he called cautiously. You walked over to him with your bag on your back, ready to leave. He bent down to give you a hug like he always did when one of you had to leave.
He wanted to tell you every word in the world, but all he could muster was a simple phrase before he leaned in further.
“Thank you for being with me tonight.”
Before you could reply his lips were gently pressed to yours. The kiss was slow and delicate, and as you pulled away you could see his emotion leaking through his eyes.
“I need a girl like you.”
You knew this was always something that could happen, but that didn’t take the realism away from it. But you had made peace with your feelings long ago. Zelo always chased the same type of girl, and you weren’t that type. You knew you would always be a friend and nothing more, that he was just hurting and you were here to mend his heart when it had been damaged by someone else.
I need a girl like you.
You glanced up at him again, and took a small step towards the door. “Junhong, don’t.”
“What?”
“You know you don’t want this.”
He was shocked, but he tried to hide it. “What do you mean?”
Quietly you turned to go. It was too painful to do this, to see him break and to feel yourself break in front of him. As you opened his front door you turned to him again.
“You know that even though you need a girl like me, you’re always going to want a girl like her.”
He couldn’t say anything back. What could he say? You had been right. His gaze shifted from you to a spot on the floor, and with a final turn of the knob, you set about for home, leaving him broken and aware in his living room.

A Snow Day Well Spent || Jung Daehyun
Pairing: Daehyun x Reader
Genre: Fluff
Word Count: 1,013
Summary: You had the day off from school and your boyfriend wanted to warm your heart.
“You don’t have class today, right?”
You giggled to yourself as you read your boyfriend’s text. The man may be the loudest group member but it was always nice to see his caring and compassionate side emerge.
“No, it’s still closed because there’s no power.” You sent back, rolling over in bed with your phone in your hand. “What about you, any schedules for today?”
“Nah, we have today off… which is why I wanted to see if you were free today!”
You raised one eyebrow, curious of your boyfriend’s ideas.
“What’d you have in mind?”
In less than a moment Daehyun was trying to videochat with you. Sitting up, you accepted the call. “Morning.”
“Hi Jagi!” a cheerful Dae replied as he smiled at you. “Did you sleep well?”
“Mhm,” you nodded as you stretched. “What about you?”
“Well, it’d be better if you were here,” he said with a small blush, “so I was wondering if you wanted to come over today! We can stay in and watch movies at the dorm!”
You smiled to yourself. Getting some quality time with Daehyun as of late was rather difficult. BAP was in preparation for a comeback and the weather wasn’t helping. “What about the other members?”
“They won’t mind! Yongguk hyung and Himchan hyung are really fond of you!”
You heard a distant voice yell from the other side of the room. “That’s because Y/N keeps you out of our hair!”
You couldn’t help but laugh. “Hi Youngjae oppa!”
“Yah, find your own girlfriend!” Daehyun called back. He then turned his focus back to you. “What do you say, jagi?”
Smiling, you nodded. “It sounds great to me! I’ll be over in an hour. Is there anything you need me to bring?”
“ A girlfriend for Youngjae, but I doubt you can work that kind of miracle.”
“YAH!”
“Alright Jagi, gotta go! I’ll see you in a little b-YAH! THAT’S MY CHICKEN!” You laughed to yourself as the call ended abruptly. Shifting your weight to the side of your bed, you began to get ready for heading to the dorm. Slipping on a giant sweater (that you may or may not have stolen from Dae) and fleece leggings, you tied your hair into a bun and braced yourself for the cold walk to the dorms.
“Daehyun-hyung! Y/N’s here!” You heard Zelo call out as he opened the door to welcome you in. You gladly stepped in, enjoying the warmth that the outside had seemed to forget. “Thank you, Junhong.” you said, nodding to him as you removed your coat and shuffled off your boots.
“You’re welcome, noona.” he replied, taking your coat before and bowing his head sheepishly. You giggled softly at his actions. You had been coming over to their dorms for months now, and yet Junhong always remained shy around you. It humored you to wonder if your loud, extroverted boyfriend was ever that shy.
“Jagi!” You heard Dae’s voice mere seconds before he spun you around and enveloped you in a massive hug. You closed your eyes and let his comforting scent wash over you as you mumbled a quiet “hi, Oppa.”
“Yah! Where’s my girlfriend?”
Both you and Junhong laughed as Daehyun turned away from you to playfully smack Youngjae. You quickly made up for it by giving Youngjae a quick hug. “I’m sorry, Youngjae, I’ll be sure to have a girl for you next time!”
“Make sure she has a nice sense of humor!” he chuckled as he left the room after returning your hug. You chuckled back before turning back to Daehyun. He eagerly took your hand and led you to the living room, where you were greeted with everything needed for a cozy day in: pillows, blankets, two mugs of steaming hot chocolate, and wide array of movies waiting to be watched. You eagerly took a seat and wrapped yourself in a blanket as Daehyun grabbed a bag of freshly-popped popcorn. He set the bag on the coffee table and handed you the remote before pulling you down on the couch with him, provoking an excited yelp as he grabbed you. You lay your head against his chest, legs tangling with his as the movie began, listening to his heartbeat in place of the opening score.
The snacks had long been forgotten. The hot chocolate now lay stone cold as the movie credits began to roll on the screen. Daehyun gently stretched, being careful not to move too much. He didn’t know exactly when you fell asleep, but he was determined to not wake you up. You looked so precious wrapped in a blanket, your legs intertwined with his, your gentle breaths gingerly blowing against his t-shirt. He felt the warmth radiating off of you and gently moved the blanket higher so it would cover your shoulders. He was rewarded with you shifting and placing your arm over his chest, fingers grasping his shirt as you searched for something to cling onto. He chuckled softly, returning the gesture and placing a kiss on the crown of your head. When his eyes shifted back up, he found Youngjae peeking in.
“Yah! Go away and find your own girlfriend!” he whispered.
Youngjae chuckled and stepped in the room, afraid of making too much noise. “We were thinking of getting something to eat.”
Daehyun looked back down at you, smiling slightly. “Go ahead, we’ll eat when she wakes up.”
“You must be comfortable, we’re offering food and you’re refusing it?!”
Dae chuckled. “Bring some back for me.”
Youngjae nodded, then looked down at you. With another small chuckle, he glanced back at Dae then turned to leave, muttering “I totally need a girlfriend” as he walked out.
Daehyun smiled at his daesong’s words, then returned his attention to you. Lips returned to your head, giving you more kisses before he leaned his head back and closed his eyes. Words left his lips as he drifted to join you in rest.
“I hope today was good, Y/N. I wish we could spend all of them like this.”

Under the surface, you don’t know what you’ll find
Mmm, until it’s your time.
Hyungwon knew this tour was rough on both of you but he didn’t realize how much it affected you. Your fight had started as minor bickering but soon blew up on both fronts, causing you to end the videochat and leave him in his hotel room alone. He sighed to himself. He really screwed it up. He pushed too far and didn’t take the hint when you were trying to change the subject about him being gone.
Even though you were just yelling at him loud enough for the other members to hear, he knew you weren’t blaming him or were even mad at him. You were lonely. You were sick and tired of having your boyfriend gone whenever you seemed to need him. And he hated that he wasn’t there for you when you missed him.
No second chances but all we can do is try
Mmm, I made up my mind.
They had a break for the next four days until the next concert. The rest of the guys were talking about going sightseeing around the towns. Hyungwon had other ideas. As long as he could convince his manager, he was booking the first flight to you and taking the last one back to the guys after those four days. To make up. To see you again. To reset the balance you two had shared.
By some stroke of luck, he found a flight and was able to convince his group members and manager to let him take this time to see you. Hastily he packed his bags in preparation for the few days at your place.
I can’t see you
But I hear your call
Baby, hold on now
He knew that right now you were probably laying on your bed with your door locked and the lights off, like you typically did when you were upset. His heart hung heavily, knowing he was the cause of it. But soon enough he hoped that your sadness would be replaced by joy.
We’re going home
If we make it or we don’t, we won’t be alone
When I see your light shine, I know I’m home
If you’re waiting all your life, you’ won’t ever go
He set an alarm on his phone to wake up in time to catch his flight and settled down to sleep, preparing for the day of travel that awaited him.
When I see your light shine, I know I'm home
When I see your light shine, I know I'm home
When I see your light shine
Some things are simple and hard to ignore, they say
Mmm, the truth is like that
In the beginning, you had tried your best to check your frustrations at the door. You had known Hyungwon had a crazy busy schedule when you two started dating, but sometimes your feelings were unavoidable. Even when he was home, whenever he was home, he was always practicing or staying late at the studio. You honestly couldn’t even remember if you even had the chance to see him before he left for this part of the tour.
We're getting colder, so far from the shore, I say
Mmm, the world is like that
As much as you hated to admit it, you and Hyungwon were growing apart. Tensions were rising far more than usual, and it seemed like your conversations were kept at a bare minimum. You both had your own lives and you began to wonder if it was even worth the heartache to stay together. You still loved him terribly, but you also didn’t know how much of this you could handle.
I can't see you
But I hear your call
Baby, hold on now
You missed him. You missed him more than words could even begin to describe. The ache of not feeling him snuggled up against you in the mornings and the cute way he ruffled his hair when he finally woke up ruled your heart as you hugged his pillow closer to your chest. Trying to keep more tears from falling, you snuggled into the pillow, taking in Hyungwon’s gentle scent as you tried to lull yourself into sleep. You had work the next day, so you hoped it would take your mind off of him for a short while. Any solace was a relief at this point.
We're going home
If we make it or we don't, we won't be alone
When I see your light shine, I know I'm home
If you're waiting all your life, you won't ever go
When I see your light shine, I know I'm home
When I see your light shine, I know I'm home
When I see your light shine
There's a place that I
Wanna run with you
Darling, there's a place that I
Wanna run with you
He wanted to give you the world. You deserved to go anywhere and do anything you wanted to do for putting up with him and his schedule. Hyungwon thought about where the two of you would go as his flight took off, but somehow he knew the location didn’t matter, as long as the two of you were together.
We're going home
The plane was landing on the runway.
If we make it or we don't, we won't be alone
He was hopping into a taxi.
When I see your light shine, I know I'm home
He tipped the driver as he grabbed his bag.
If you're waiting all your life, you won't ever go
Knocking on your front door.
When I see your light shine, I know I'm home
“Hyungwon?”
When I see your light shine, I know I'm home
“I’m home, jagi.”
When I see your light shine, I know
I'm home
I'm home
When I see your light shine
