Lopmon sprawled on his head, content at being able to witness the refreshing new perspective. And the speed! Hitching a ride on Ken was so much faster than walking on its own!

Oh - but..other food sources? Like burgermon or digitamamon..maybe... It hadn’t really seen anyone like that around...it overheard some Seadramon mention they usually hung out around cities or beach side, which they were close to neither as far as it knew. It hadn’t actually explored all that much, though. Didn’t need to.

“Just fruit and fish, but the fruit’s not gonna finish refreshing for a couple more days and I dunno how to fish.”

Was that what he was asking for? In either case it was perfectly content with their idle chatter before reaching the cliff. Eager eyes scanned the near-sheer vertical surface, seeking anything that might resemble something edible.

“Mmmmm...”

There was a soft grumble as it looked around haphazardly, hoping to get its paws on this “super tasty cliff fruit.”

“I’m not seein’ nuthin...”

“I heard from a flymon that there’s a really tasty fruit, but it only grows on a cliff near here,”

Any internal conflicts Ken might have been having were lost on Lopmon, more interested in using its newly found vantage point to hopefully spot the treasure it was seeking. It could have sworn there was a mountain somewhere close by, but hadn’t emptied the thicket of currently viable food before today.

“They’re supposed to grow really big and look like watermelons, but the flymon said they taste really good.”

Unfortunately, though Lopmon had full faith in the rumor, it was entirely possible it was just a wild goose chase. The good news? If the fruit were fictional, it could also just scale this coveted cliff for either a new food source or a better vantage point.

Though Lopmon could tell Ken was having a Not FunTM time, it didn’t quite have the tact to understand the how or why. He seemed pretty mad, though.

The little beast called in a cheerful tone, tapping his forehead with its paw. Maybe it shouldn’t have mentioned food, but it did seem to eat much more than was normal for a digimon of its size. It had thought there was no harm in asking a not-digimon, assuming one might be more well-versed in the concept. Oh well.

“Does that mean your par-ants are bad?”
