hi all,

i know i don’t really have a right to a farewell letter, as i haven’t been consistently active on tumblr for some time, but i thought i’d leave a pinned message for anyone looking for my account in the future or if any mutuals hope to get ahold of me.

even though it’s been a week since bin’s passing, i am still struggling—as it seems many of us are—to accept the depth of my grief. this account has gone in many different directions over the years as my interests shifted, but bin was always one of my ults in kpop, and i’ve always cheered him on, even if i wasn’t keeping close tabs on him. that being said, it’s been incredibly painful for me to see his face or details related to his passing, especially in the sheer number of notifications i’ve received lately, and so for my own sake, i need to step away from this account for good.

i understand people have been grieving him in different ways, including sharing their happy or funny memories of him. i’m unfortunately not at that stage yet, and am not sure i’ll ever be, but i would like to keep this account open as an archive of some of my favorite moments with bin (and all of astro). i hope this account can be a way for people to remember him in ways that bring them comfort.

i will no longer be logging into this account, checking messages, or reblogging posts. for people interested in keeping in contact with me, please reach out so i can give you some of my other socials.
