Open Support vs. Patreon

This post is just about the difference between just accepting donations at free will v. Patreon. If you can’t handle it, exit pls.

When a lot of creators decided to open a patreon account to receive a small incentive for their work, they were mocked or berated. Many suggested that, they just leave a link and let people donate at their leisure. It’s nice to leave that option for people but, sometimes you have to be more persistent when you get these donations. Hours go in to anything custom content related. I know because, even something is simple as make-up can take hours of testing and readjustment. Conversions are not original content but, they are time consuming and require texturing as well. This is besides the point though.

My website has been up for months and I have not received one donation despite, the site being visited almost 200K times. This is not me asking either because, I always want those things to be at the visitors leisure. Most of it is conversions except, my make-up and stuff as well. However, it put things into a new perspective for me.

These creators (especially the ones who create original content!) deserve the best of the best! They deserve to charge the people who follow them, a few dollars because, in reality, anything helps and makes up for that 3 or 4 hours they worked on that 1 item. Ad Fly is a cute coin but, definitely something you can make working a day of retail and, time is money. So, just appreciate these creators. Not saying support the extremists who charge 10 dollars and barely post or interact with their patrons. But, the ones who really try to upload multiple times a month.

If they have a patreon, subscribe. If they do FREE content and just tell you to donate if you would like, buy them a coffee. P.S I’m rooting for every content creator especially @kikovanitysimmer who charges only 3 DOLLARS and drops collections every month. And of course the always legendary @ebonixsims ♥️

What do I do when I’m stressed?  Make a really difficult hair 🤷🏽‍♀️

I’ve been wanting to make cornrows from the parenthood hair forever, but never had no idea how to go about it.  But for some reason, I just decided to decompress by going into Blender and starting this a couple days ago.  And what do you know, it’s actually coming along!  I still have a lot to fix, but so far so good!

I have no idea when I’ll be finished with it, because the next few weeks are gonna be crazy and even more stressful.  So I might be kinda MIA, but I’ll try and get another WIP of mine up by the end of the week, at least so I can clear some of them out.  I’ll try and post better pics later.  

Now if you excuse me, I’m going to pass out since it’s 2am lol

An epic saga

This is what I’ve been dealing with lately 🤦🏾‍♀️ gotta start over with everything but at least my family and neighbors are okay. It’s gonna be a day by day process rebuilding and I often get overwhelmed about it. People keep asking what you need, what can I do, giving us things, it’s all appreciated but still overwhelming. My company has been an amazing help (Southwest Airlines). Got me up in a hotel, started a go fund me for us, and all my coworkers have been absolutely amazing. It’ll be a while before I’m up and running with sims again but I’ll be back better than ever 💜 if any of you would like to

help our cause, I’ve attached our go fund me. We’re almost at our goal in just 4 days. Prayers will do as well. Can’t wait to get back to my gaming I was just getting ready to launch my channel 😩
