Peu importe que l'on soit français ou pas, peu importe que l'on croit en Dieu ou pas, voir Notre Dame brûler, c'est comme voir sa propre maison brûler. Cette soirée est horrible. • Whether you are French or not, whether you believe in God or not, to see Notre Dame burning is like seeing your own house burning. This is an horrible evening. • 📷 @alinakolot

Of course I will hurt you. Of course you will hurt me. Of course we will hurt each other. But this is the very condition of existence. To become spring, means accepting the risk of winter. To become presence, means accepting the risk of absence. • Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

Arden sat in the back of the Uber with her eyebrows drawn in, the fingers of her right hand pinching on the fabric of her jeans as she stared out the window.
Jared had booked an appointment with a doctor to check up on her arm and she was beyond devastated to find out that it wouldn’t come off for another three weeks.
“Do you hate me taking care of you that much?” Jared teased her, earning himself a glare, “what’s wrong? It’s just a few more weeks, baby.”
“I hate feeling like I can’t do anything on my own!” Arden reasoned, her voice whinier than she anticipated, “Jared, you’ve been brushing my hair for me and even my teeth because I can’t do it properly, dressing me. It's—”
“What I want to do,” Jared finished off for her, leaning over and kissing her temple, “we talked about this. I want to take care of you, it makes me happy.”
“You just say that because you don’t want me to feel bad,” Arden stated, “aren’t you tired of hearing me call out for you every time I have a minor inconvenience?”
“No,” Jared answered immediately, “in fact, I love hearing my name on your lips, no matter the circumstance.”
“I feel like a burden—”
“Arden, stop it,” Jared warned her, his voice a tad harsher, instantly shutting her up, “you aren’t a burden. Nowhere near. Get that thought out of your head.”
