Scott reassuring Tango that he did the right thing and it’s not his fault that The Watchers are hellbent on destroying anything good, that Tango is a good wonderful person and thats’ why the Watchers hate him. That he’s so loved despite the fact he was first out, that Scott and everyone else love him and care about him.

So I've talked about my interpretation of DL! Scott quite a bit here and I've mentioned before I didnt really talk about DL! Pearl herself for the sole reason of I didn't have much to say, well now I do so let's get into this.

Pearl doesn't hate Scott and I'm tired of people acting like she does.

C!Pearl is a difficult character to pin down especially in double life. She's emotional, scary, caring, impulsive, and more but she doesn't have any ill will towards anyone.

Pearl started off her journey in Last life, teaming with Scott and having fun together before Cleo joins and they become the Gs. The game ends and as we all know Scott is declared the winner.

Then Double Life comes around and Pearl impulsive goes along with Martyn going into the nether and having fun with her friend not realizing the pain she's causing to her soulmate, both physically and emotionally.

So when she comes back to the overworld and finds out everyone but Scott and Cleo have their soulmates she gets excited. They're her friends! They could all team up together and be allies!!

Not realizing that's not how the games work.

Scott felt hurt by what she's done, leaving him without a second thought so it only feels right to leave her just like Pearl did to him, he didn't know Martyn would follow but that's not Scott's fault. Pearl meanwhile never realized how much her actions hurt him, in her eyes Scott just left her for no reason. Quickly followed by Martyn blaming her for his soulmate leaving too even though it was Martyns idea to go into the nether in the first place and by result she was left alone.

So that's when Pearls heart broken arc started, spending most of her time watching from afar and/or messing with Scott. Even through her hurt it's clear she never wanted him dead or injured on purpose she just wanted him to be hurt like she was, the feeling of being cold and alone when your sitting in powdered snow just hoping it'll stop but the feeling lingers.

The reason she became the "Scarlet witch" in the first place wasn't truly her not Scott's fault. She was messing around causing chaos, like giving the rancher their horns, or stealing Scars horse, but this time was different. Not noticing the Enderman following her caused the death of Ren and BigB, a mix of her impulses and Rens cluelessness ended in Ren called pearl a witch that brings misfortune banning her from their home.

So she was alone again wandering the world with Tilly and her other dogs with no other company. Most of the misfortune Pearl faced never came from Scott, of course if he hadn't left with Cleo it wouldn't have happened, but you could also make that comment about Pearl leaving to the nether with Martyn. It was never on purpose it was unfortunate circumstances that ended in dispair.

She never meant anything bad to happen to anyone but the constant misfortune that followed her, mistake after mistake caused her to go insane which effected her relationship with Scott as a result, blaming him for her misfortune when it was simply an accident.

When Ren and Martyn ask Pearl to join the broken hearts club she points something out. Both of them shunned her away, similar to how she viewed Scott's betrayal she points out Martyn left her to try and win back Cleo blaming her for something that's arguably his idea, while Ren started the Scarlet Pearl comment because of an accident a name that haunts her to this day.

Joining the broken hearts club wasn't going to fix her insanity or even heal her like people make it seem, in my opinion it might've thrown her further into it. The gnawing feeling deep inside that if she makes one mistake, one accident, it might just leave her alone again.

So she stays with her dogs.

Loyal like a dog, they're creatures that'll never leave even if you hurt them.

Now let's talk about the final and Pearl's...forgivness?

Let's get something outta the way first, no. Scott's final death is NOT selfish, he didn't do it to guilt trip Pearl or anything of the sorts. He didn't die for himself or because he hated Pearl he died because he didn't think he deserved it.

How is this important?

Pearl's knows that's why Scott killed himself, she's teamed with Scott before in last life but we also need to remember their small alliance before the grand ending. Pearl and Scott are the last yellows so decided to team together to keep both of them safe and run away.

Scott and Cleo let Pearl into their bunker, they keep her safe and close by, Pearl helps them gain information from the reds. They're friendly but tense.

Eventually tho Pearl seperates, not because she hated Scott or ad payback, but because she knew their time was up and she wasn't going to hold onto false hope any longer. Sure they were both a little upset to no longer be properly teamed together but ending it with laughter and "Tilly death do us part" showed that they didn't have any bad will towards each other after all.

And the ending? They don't sound upset at all, Pearl talks happily about having trust in herself and Tilly while Scott does agree that Pearl at least had the chance to win.

Pearl pulled out her bow ready to fire as Scott pulled the TNT, thinking it'll end the same as previous games, a final showdown.

Only to see Scott say his final words "Tilly Death Do Us Part" with a smile on his face and Pearl finally realizes what he's doing. She ends her video distraught in her voice before saying she forgives her finally showing how even through everything she doesn't hate the other.

And this moment is the most controversial as the take this as Pearl lying as she "still has a grudge in other games" when that "grudge" or "wish her vengeance" is just Pearl either joking or her actively trying to rebuild a relationship with Scott.

Double life did hurt their relationship but that never caused a big strain or even hatred on either side especially Pearl's.

Since double life they didn't team in limited or secret life, but they weren't enemies, they didn't become "enemies" until the ending of secret life so it's not like she had a grudge over it mostly just using it for a little reference or too poke fun at Scott. Pearl definitely had more resentment towards Cleo out of everyone but not Scott.

Then wild/real life happened and they teamed up.

Now we had wild life where they're closer than ever, Scott even changing his skin to match with Pearl was they're red and we even see Pearl actively mourning over Scott's final death. Clearly that distain slowly running it's course, they still joke about double life to this day but never any malice like during limited life. Pearl's fondness for dogs also growing with Scott helping her obtain them and attempting to name them something different but hey that's just how pearl is.

In conclusion, CAN WE PLEASE STOP SAYING THEY HATE EACH OTHER?? It's fine for a story plot or even a little rivalry is fine but Protaying either of them as bitter ex's who want the other dead when they're both just people who were hurt and are building back up a relationship.

I think this is generally such a fascinating take on the whole "Jimmy being upset by Scott killing him" thing which, this was one of if not the only time Scott has killed Jimmy in the life series. (To my knowledge)

A friend told me that apparently Jimmy was upset not by Scott killing him but how LAME the kill was. I mean he killed him while he was stuck in a boat? Not even an extreme moment of betrayal or even an epic battle. He didnt even fight back it have armor on. It was so simple, something even Scott's own teammates gave him shit for it was a very boring and lame kill.

Over and over again Jimmy has killed Scott in many ways (mostly by Scott's insistence), and has also failed to kill him in equally as many if not more ways. While Scott barley fights back he runs away refusing to fight back, but when he does fight back it seems also easy to Scott barley breaking a sweat as all of Jimmy's hard work never pays off.

In Jimmy's mind he doesn't realize how hypocritical he sounds, I mean he's joined basically every manhunt for Scott that he's been around and has antagonized him more than people talk about, all while also taking life's from the other because well it's not like he would say no? Scott let him kill him! He doesn't understand Scott won't always be on his side for things and he doesn't want to understand that, he wants the game to be fair too him even if that's never how it works.

Jimmy's biggest flaw is overconfidence caused by insecurity and when that confidence is challenged he gets upset, petty and most importantly he gets impulsive. So when Scott takes the dragon egg something Jimmy desperately wanted the Impulse and frustration kicks in as he declares Scott enemies only to be reminded of how much better Scott is.

Meanwhile, Scott has never actively flaunted how much better he is. He teases about Jimmy mishaps sure but always helps him out, he treats the man hunts like a little challenge, gives up his lives over and over again not for his sake but because he wants to help his friends, his allies. Scott never had any actual problem with Jimmy killing him, he might've even wanted to help Jimmy improve in some kinda way. So when Jimmy tells that Scott's now his enemy for two little mishaps Scott can't help but be intrigued by the idea only playing into by stating.

"If you go after me it will be the last time you play this game."

A fascinating line for Scott to respond with not out of anger, frustration, or even hatred, but as a challenge. See how far Jimmy will go just to end Scott's life without Scott's assistance.

(Sorry if this doesn't make sense lol I'm very brainrotten over past life and have alotta thoughts. This is also just my opinion on their dynamic lol)

Someone more eloquent then me verbalize the hypocrisy of Jimmy in past life being so furious with Scott for killing him when he's constantly attempted to kill scott in previous series. how Scott has given Jimmy everything over and over and spares him and offers life and alliance and laughs off the attacks against him but Jimmy fails over and over and yet Scott is the one who did wrong because he did once and succeeded. Scott stopped giving Jimmy chances and stop letting him get away with it and Jimmy hates it anyways thanks bye
