If you don't have anything specific to wake up for (work, school, appointments, plans, etc.), will you still wake up early (before 8am)?

hi there i saw your comic and i didn’t want to distract from the point but are you genuinely into column differentiation. because if so that sounds fascinating and i would love to hear about it
yes i am!! i opened tumblr to several requests in my inbox for this so here we go, a quick overview:
There are five general types of columns in Greco-Roman architecture: Doric, Ionic, Corinthian, Tuscan, and Composite. I’m mostly going to focus on the Greek 3, as Tuscan columns are basically just Doric columns but bald and Composite are, surprisingly, a composite of other types.
(technically there’s also Roman Doric vs Greek Doric but we’re keeping it simple)
Tumblr media
In terms of the shaft, all 3 Greek columns are relatively the same, they differ the most in their top chunk aka the entablature. Doric columns are very simple, growing more complex with ionic and even more so with Corinthian. However do not confuse complexity with appeal! Corinthian Columns are often over decorated and gaudy.
For example, look at the Supreme Court building.
Tumblr media
This is an abomination. The Corinthian columns exude opulent wealth and frivolous decor, which is not what you want from a building meant to instill justice. But it’s the US so who’s shocked. Anyways
Tumblr media
Compare to the long lasting elegant Doric columns of the Parthenon. They may look simple, but they’re also complex in a way you might not expect: the Greeks used columns to form optical illusions.
Tumblr media
The columns actually aren’t straight, they’re curved just right to make the whole building appear perfectly straight. For a modern example, lets look at the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland! Surprisingly the imagineers at Disney have an overlap with the ancient architects of Greece: they mess with perspective to create broader illusions of size and depth. And look at those beautiful Doric columns. Elegant. Graceful. A sign of wealth without excess. This should be our supreme court

You show up for your first day at Copyright-Free Magic School. As you're going through orientation, you're informed that all new students get a school-assigned familiar that they are responsible for housing and maintaining. The staff member assures you that your assigned familiar is appropriately chosen and reflects you in some way.
Spin this to find out yours. (Remember, you are responsible for maintaining this familiar in your dorm room.)

A manatee rescue that I follow responded to a call about a female manatee with two calves because one of her babies had been injured by a boat strike. The entire family was temporarily relocated from the wild into a wildlife rehab facility for the injured male calf to undergo treatment. While there, vets noted the female calf was significantly larger than the little injured male. They did genetic testing and determined that big sister calf actually wasn’t related to the other two manatees at all! She was in fact an orphan calf that the adult manatee had found and taken in to care for right alongside her own little one.
Wild to think this manatee calf was literally adopted and nobody would have ever known if it weren’t for random coincidence and human curiosity. Every animal that you cross paths with in life has a fascinating personal story that you’ll only ever catch a glimpse of (if you’re lucky).

Ok, so with all these posts going around aboht election interference and calling for a recount, i wanted to find evidence that weren't twitter screenshots
Bomb threats at polling places:
This claim is legit, as well as the source being from russian email domains. No actual bombs were placed or set off.
Burning ballot boxes:
3 incidents of burning ballot boxes have been confirmed for this election in Portland, Oregon and one in Vancouver, Washington, both of which are suspected to be from the same individual. Republican and Democrat officials have spoken out against this, ballot boxes were guarded after the incidents started, and fire suppression systems inside the ballot boxes saved the majority of the ballots, except for one box where 488 ballots were damaged due to a malfunction of the fire suppression system.
Fires were also confirmed in Arizona by a man who apparently just wanted to be arrested and had no political motivations.
No fires were confirmed in Georgia, despite repeated claims that most of the fires were in Georgia. Georgia changed their election laws in 2021 in regards to absentee votes. Ballot boxes have been notably targetted for election conspiracy and mistrust. Take this into account when you see outcry about ballot boxes in any way.
Votes not being counted:
The screenshots im seeing particularly note California, which is the state with the largest amount of registered voters. California is also dealing with massive wildfires rn. Its gonna take a couple days, and the election isnt officially over yet. Calm down
20 million unaccounted votes:
Yall . . .
This shit takes time. Theyre not "throwing your ballots out" or "deliberately not counting votes". Be so for real
Some of this shit is valid, and should probably be known. Some of this shit is making yall sound like trumpers in 2020. Be smart. Have critical thinking.
If youre gonna reblog or comment with claims i better see credible evidence to back your claims up or youre getting blocked
