Picked up the guitar again at a friend's place. It really is a lot easier to play with someone else. She asked me why I haven't been playing at home and luckily she understood my struggle with separating my guitar journey from my mentor. Sometimes I do forget about his death during the day but then I remember and it sucks. But playing with her, its so clear my body and mind love the guitar so it's not completely ruined. We're hoping to play again in 2 weeks.

My uber driver was kinda wild tho, really tried to sell me on monetizing my music - I didn't tell him I'm nowhere near creating my own. He was surprised I had no interest in making money off my art. He was like "if someone said they were willing to give you money for it you wouldn't take it?" And it's like no. Even thinking about the physical art I make like crocheting, making zines, pottery. Literally only creating art to understand myself better and enjoy life. It's a fucking hobby.

I hate when I say things like "oh I want an ipod classic but with bluetooth so I can use wireless headphones" and some peanut comes in and replies with "so a smartphone with spotify?" No. I want a 160GB+ rectangular monstrosity where I can download every version of every song I want to it and it does nothing except play music and I don't need a data connection and don't have to pay a subscription to not have ads and don't have popups suggesting terrible AI playlists all over the menus.
