The Arcane fandom, especially on TikTok is never beating the allegations because why, now, some fans act like it's too inconceivable to imagine that Ambessa was, not only, pregnant twice but gave birth twice as well? And their reasoning for this is "She looks like the type to get a man pregnant instead" or "She's too tough for that, I just can't see someone like her going through that." There are layers to these statements because, for one, just because someone, especially a woman, is a dominant force doesn't mean that they can't get/don't want to become pregnant (do you believe overtly dominant men can't be fathers?) It's also very weird because the undertones of misogyny and misogynoir and the overt masculinization of black women are there because, not only are they viewing pregnancy and giving birth, in general, to be viewed as something "weak" (even though it's grueling hours of labor that results in tearing the body apart, sometimes even death) but also attempts to strip Ambessa of her nuance. Yes, she is strong and very dominant, but she also deeply loved her children, who she birthed, and when one was taken away from her it changed her deeply. It's very gross to view a character like her in this way because it also reflects how you view dominant women in real life, pregnancy, and childbirth as a whole. Like how are you going to praise Arcane for having such a wide and diverse ensemble of female characters, but then have misogynistic takes like this? Make it make sense.

I really love the "Tigerstar is Swiftpaw's dad" AU. It doesn't change that much storywise, but it just makes it really tragic with Tigerstar sending the dogs that kill him and him wanting to prove himself.
To be honest I really thought for the longest time he WAS Swiftpaw's dad.
God... Tiger spying on Gatherings and not seeing Swiftpaw there. Overhearing apprentices gossip.
"Did you hear what happened to Brightpaw? I hope she doesn't get an infection."
"Better than what happened to Swiftpaw."
But... What happened to Swiftpaw? Where was he? Was he hurt?
Tigerstar getting his 9 lives and seeing his son standing in the crowd, glaring at him with a look that chokes him. He sees the glittering scars and puts 2 and 2 together. That was his son, his baby, his precious boy so full of potential and life and so stubborn and proud. Why was he not given a name? Why did Bluestar treat his son like this? She gave a name to the bastard kittypet child, but denied his son? She's to blame of course, not him, he would have named him Swiftstrike or Swiftfang, something respectable and powerful. His son... Sitting there with his other lost child, lost so young, they both look so unhappy...
Seeing Swiftpaw amongst his own victims as he keeps dying over and over again. Begging them each time to help him. Help me Swiftpaw, please, please, you love me, I'm your father you need to do something you need to save me please Swiftpaw please don't let me die I'm your papa I love y
Watching his other sons, another child of his lost too young, Tadpole was so much like him too, fearless and strong.
Comparing Hawkfrost to Swiftpaw in the horrible way that parents do. Come on Hawkfrost that was sloppy, Swiftpaw had that technique down and never left apprenticeship, you'll avenge me and your brother, Firestar was deputy he could have said something, it would have saved your brother's life.
Seeing Swiftpaw during the Great Battle giving a blessing to Firestar. Realizing he gave Firestar a life and just... Losing it. Firestar stole his son from him, and let him die, and his perfect son still gave him a life?! Why?!
Oh it all just goes perfectly.
Although... It does give Tigerstar the widest family tree EVER.
Lynxkit, Swiftpaw, Brambleclaw, Tawnypelt, Tadpole, Mothwing and Hawkfrost. Oof, gift giving events have gotta be a nightmare.

'They can't put mentally ill people in camps and force them to work that would never happen in the US'.
Look into the Troubled Teen Industry. All of it- their 'wellness retreats', their 'therapeutic boarding schools', their 'camps'. There are thousands if not millions of people - children, but some are even kept past their 18th birthdays- in this country and many others who are being forced to do manual labor and endure psychological and physical torture for crimes as small as smoking a joint or not listening to their parents. Children have *died* in these places from neglect, improper restraint, and worse. And those who survive struggle with trauma, not being believed about their experiences, and all the baggage that comes with that.
The most common kids who end up in TTI facilities are foster or adopted youth, LGBTQ+ teenagers coming from conservative families (Conversion therapy- which is still legal in many states- is often offered by these TTI facilities even if that isn't their primary listed function), and teenagers with mental illness or who struggle to maintain grades in school. Many of these children have unidentified learning disabilities or have been misdiagnosed in some way.
Their parents are preyed on by 'counselors' or 'professionals' claiming this beautiful wellness retreat in the woods will make your kids feel better and give them the tools to be productive members of society. They're offered glossy pamphlets full of smiling children and beautiful campuses. They're told their kids will do activities like 'horse therapy' or 'nature appreciation', maybe they're even encouraged to talk to a parent whose kid is currently in the program and hear about how much more peaceful their lives have become with their problem child off 'getting the help they need'.
Calls and communication out of these facilities are tightly monitored. Children lose privileges if they speak badly about the program, their parents are told their kids will lie about the treatment and try to manipulate them to come home early. These kids are forced to perform manual labor in the form of animal care, fence building, hole digging, and much much more. They are publicly humiliated and punished for misbehavior, subjected to unapproved 'therapy' techniques, and often physically and sexually abused by staff. These facilities come up with any excuse to get parents to keep their kids in the program longer, they lie about children misbehaving and recommend more time. It is one of the most evil and predatory industries that exists and while some individual programs have been shut down or exposed, there has been no large-scale effort to stop this problem. And there's a reason why. Many of the people running these places are in politicians' pockets, have influence in high circles and cut their buddies in on the profits or even send a few kids to work on their land to 'learn responsibility'. It's trafficking, torture, and enslavement.
The framework for what we're scared of already exists. The *facilities* for it already exist- ranches, boarding schools, campuses, residential treatment facilities. All they have to do is change a few laws around and use some fancy language and suddenly instead of a mandatory 72-hour hold after a suicide attempt or something similar you have to go to a 'wellness retreat' instead. Get caught with weed in an illegal state? Mandatory 'rehab' at a forest facility or some shit. And people will not leave these places because they won't have parents waiting on the other side wondering where all their money is going.
You think it can't happen because you aren't paying attention to what already *is* happening. Wake up. Fight back. Now.

having ocd is like playing an eternal game of "would you rather" except one of the options is objectively Bad and the other is like, a basic need, and if you choose the need you go to hell and if you choose the bad thing then god or the universe will make it come true

I finally did something! :D
Actually that should be (and maybe that would be) a part of a little… series of pictures about coming back from dangerous scouting but seems I’m not able to finish things… anyway the best part is here
my god, I love that story so much. just give me friendship, give me danger, give me magic, give me crewmates who care for each other and I will be the happiest person on the earth. I need so little

This was the very first time this has ever happened to us but we both went hunting and when we came back the pups were nowhere to be found. Every. single. one. of. them. had wandered off, and the game only notified us once we reached the rendez-vous site. I geniunely have no clue what happened, pack affinity was 99% We spent the following ten minutes howling back and forth to find them. Their health was pretty low. It was scary as shit. (Ongaku's guess is that during hunting we might've wandered too close to the densite, which encouraged the pups to exit the tall grass without us noticing)

I have warnings all over my profile and every so often I’ll still get people trying to frame me as problematic for the content I create. What did you expect?? I warned you for sensitive content, gave you the specifics, and you saw that warning and chose to get offended at what I make anyway. I don’t post anything rulebreaking, sorry that I write about dark topics instead of making emo scenecore eyestrain OCs who only experience joy

i think a lot of people (even other autistic people) forget that special interests are listed in the diagnostic criteria as restrictive interests (“Highly restricted, fixated interests that are abnormal in intensity or focus”) that are often very disabling.
for many autistic people, special interests aren’t some fun thing; it’s having no impulse control and spending too much money on things related to our special interest (if we even have control over our own money at all), it’s struggling with or being unable to hold conversations that aren’t related to our special interest, its being unable to do daily activities such as eat or sleep or work because our special interests take up all our time.
idk. i don’t want to come off as gatekeep-y because that’s not my intention but i just think it’s important to make the distinction between a restrictive interest in autistic people vs just being really interested in something.
