Home with a stomach bug. Pierce stepped in dog poop in his water shoes so I had to scrape it out of the depths of the plastic ridges first while gagging & ultimately spraying it off with the water hose before I could take him to summer camp. This video says it all. I lost my mind. Pierce has struggled all season with getting hits. Tonight in the first game of post season he got a triple his first at bat. This hit was their last at bat. They had 2 outs, 2 on base. If Pierce got out, it was game over. He had 2 strikes. Coach told him that this game was not on his shoulders. He took a deep breath, smacked it and brought in the 2 runners & they won! His coaches are wonderful role models who encourage them to do their best and reinforce that’s enough. I’m so proud for him & his teammates. They all showed grit and determination tonight. #boymom #chalkupbuttercup (at Lakewood, Arkansas)

Started our morning “watering” the lawn. The birds & my baby boy loved it. Now we’re sitting on the front porch listening to music. Yesterday we grilled out with Mom & had such a great time. I’m so grateful that I still have my mom & we’re so close. I couldn’t ask for a better mom or son. My ❤️ is full. #gingeradventures #boymom

It’s been an exciting night. Pierce got his first hit of the season. And Peach got a baby possum. 😳 Let’s just say I hope that little sucker was playing possum after killer Peach “played” with it before I could get her. I’m sure my neighbors thought I was a crazy person in my backyard at 9:30 at night. “Peach! Want a treat? Peach want to go for a walk? Peach leave it! Oh my word!!! Please leave it! Peach! Peach!!! Ewwww! Peach? Oh my goodness!” Pierce: it looked like a rat but then I saw it’s face...like this (looks horrified). Me: I hope it doesn’t have a disease. Pierce: Yeah. It could have diabetes!
