Moniek looks up at him. “Even your sister doesn’t seem like she’s completely helpless, or she’d never have survived any time you stepped away from the house for more than five minutes at a time.” If anything, based on the time he’d spent around Aysel on Father’s Day, it seemed like they took care of each other. He hadn’t perceived her as anything other than self-reliant though, based on talking to her alone. “Why don’t you go join her and watch a master at work before you help her?”

{☬} - “O-oh.” Kamesh’s olive skin blushed. “I forget sometimes, Asha is not my sister.” He was so used to watching over his older sister and protecting her from all harm because of her condition. He forgot that not all women are meek and fragile like Aysel. “Does she need help making neighbors uncomfortable? I could do that!”

He cracks a smile, trying not to laugh. “Whoa, Kameshka, calm down.” He finished his shot. “First of all, I get that you like her and don’t want her to get hurt, but she’s smart enough to avoid that sort of thing, and she’s not helpless either. We protect her where we have to, but there’s not much protecting to be done when the most she’s doing tonight is making our neighbors reasonably uncomfortable, okay?”

{☬} - “Rowdy…?” Kamesh’s eyes widened. The first thing that came to his mind was Asha getting hurt in the midst of the rowdiness. He clenched his fists. “You protect Asha, Moniek! You and Vlad! Okay?”
