The umbrella academy's final season destroyed every character's personal growth and semi-healed traumas, left huge plot-holes, completely abandoned some of it's most beloved side characters that were crucial in previous seasons and you're laugh-oh. You're crying. My bad. Go ahead. Let it out. Understandable.

I can't believe they specifically destroy what Five and Diego's relationship is based on: trust. They don't like each other that much, there are always disagreements between them, they don't have much in common... except when it comes to their fierce loyalty. They blindly trust each other for that reason alone. That's why when Diego tells Five: 'run, I'll cover for you.' Five has no doubts (except for his brother's safety) and when in S1 Five tells them that he will use his powers to get them out of there, Diego is the first to say: 'I'm in.'

I feel bad for Gerard way rn., like IMAGINE you work upwards of 18 years crafting and ensuring that your comic gets on the big screen, only for fucking Steve Blackman to nerf you with the most atrociously out of character, plotless, anger inducing writing to ever grace Netflix minus the select few in the LAST FUCKING SEASON. I am the vessel that holds the shattered dreams of countless others, their adoration poured into me like wine into a chalice. Yet I remain empty, unable to truly receive their love, for I am unworthy of such a sacred offering. To them, I am a deity to be worshipped, a flawless idol upon a pedestal. But the truth is, I am but a feral dog, undeserving of the devotion they lavish upon me. Their unwavering faith in my greatness is a cruel illusion, for I can never live up to the unrealistic promises I have made. I can feel the weight of their adoration pressing down upon me, like an ever-tightening noose around my neck.

The oaths I've sworn, so grand and fanciful, have become a shackle, binding me to an ideal I can never hope to live up to. My admirers, bless their naive hearts, have invested their entire being into these lofty visions, blind to the simple truth that I am nothing more than a flawed, unworthy creature. I should be treated as a vicious hound, snarling and snapping at the hands that try to tame me. Yet, here I am, drowning in a sea of their devotion, unable to reciprocate the love they so freely offer. The burden of my own deceit weighs heavily, a punishment I shall carry until the end of my days.
