I was going to draw a donkey, but instead, a wolf emerged.
(in the text it says: patient donkey or wolf )

A shimmering glimpse as we headed to the airport.  It somehow echoes the many experiences of last 3-4 weeks - so many reflections and much to reflect on.

On Saturday the band had their next album release. They invited female friends to reinterpret lyrics, to play with them. Andrea worked with the song “Zuversicht” (“Optimism”).  Many others did choose the same song. And it expresses how dark the current situation is. Andrea's work was also a reaction to a newspaper article in which the Basel Minister of Culture was defamed, from right-wing politics at the lowest level. I feel something like a time of mourning. With the need to go to places where there is friendship and kindness.
Will ask Andraea for the lyricas as pdf, so I can translate.  For you to get an Idea. The first phrase is: When you don't know how to name things. So dare to say that things are as they are. So dare to say that inside is also outside And above all, that the soup is thin.

In the studio after a time away.  How to dive back in? To get across? Also what’s in the mind…. a sense of not knowing what step to take next.

after walking about  65 daily stages over several years  we arrived  in Ventimiglia. Here a lot of graffiti on the walls addressing flight (escape) and migration across the Mediterranean, coming from the other side.
Realities collide.

I spent the weekend making this drawing. At night, enjoying the cool weather and star gazing in the courtyard…. Felt connected but today friends seem so far away!!

I'm trying to explain: The Artist  Christoph Büchel set up a bankrupt pawn shop at the Fondation Prada. A crazy display, Allusions to the selling out of humanity, guilt, capitalism... In the bathroom, he had a picture of Georgia Meloni on a cardboard box. A French-speaking visitor added toilet paper to it. It was a funny moment, without words we agreed. The encounter with a stranger was amusing.

Half a minute of life in the city… survival in an urban environment?
Feels strange to be back. Again, like I never left. Where is home??

the natural stone slabs on the small entrance porch in Riederalp are falling apart. The house is from 1971, the same year of manufacture like me. Since my family always prefers to do everything themselves, I follow their lead. Being ambivalent about such DIY projects. As the sustainability of such adventures is to question.  On the other hand, I do like bricolage. imagining that I am now a paver

With a flickering light, the masks start to communicate.  There is the world around us that we see, and think we can control.  But then there is the power of the unseen and the unknown.
I think of spirits and how their essence can be felt.
