Hi, friends! This blog has officially been archived. I wanted a fresh start, so I've moved. I'm still @monasterymonochrome, but you'll have to refollow my new account. I'm working on building my following list back up, and I'll follow back from @thebramblewood! Hope to see some of you over there. 💜

Can you tell I've been watching a lot of True Blood recently?
Previous / Next
Harbor Quarter Kiosk by @beetlemp3. Vampires by @madeofcc, @squea, @castawavy, @asimplevampire, and @eljeebee. Humans by @simsdaughters, @esotericas-sims, @elderwisp, @chrysosims, @crvptydgaming, @biffybobs, and me. This was an absolute dream cast. Thank you to everyone for contributing your very special Sims.
Helena: Where are we? It’s been like a ghost town for blocks now.
Lilith: Just because something seems abandoned doesn’t mean it is.
Helena: You mean the club is down…
Lilith: It’s hardly exclusive if just anyone can find it.
Helena: The last time you led me down a staircase to nowhere, it didn’t end well.
Lilith: At least now you can bite back.
-
Helena: What’s this all about?
Lilith: [boredly] Just another fauxpire attempting to sink their nonexistent fangs into other humans again.
Helena: Fauxpire?
Lilith: Fake vampire, obviously. Nothing but cheap color contacts, Halloween store blood, and delusion. I almost feel sorry for them. No one that desperate will ever get turned. There’s a certain subset of humans who fawn over vampires like celebrities. They have their favorites, and they collect bite marks like autographs. Some vampires bask in the attention. Others would probably prefer to be left alone. These groupies offer themselves up willingly, but catch the wrong vampire on a particularly bad day… Well, there’s no guarantee they’ll live to tell the tale. Ironically, the risk of death is what makes them feel alive. Consciously or not, every last rubberneck who digs up vague allusions on obscure Internet forums and shows up just to gawk is lured by the danger.
Helena: Every day, my little human bubble seems more and more quaint. There are entire worlds of experience I never even knew existed.
Lilith: Let’s grab some drinks and find a booth.
-
[in background] DJ Beatz: Make some noise for our headliner! Next up on the decks, it’s DJ Bunty Bakewell!
Helena: I have questions. About the past.
Lilith: Still? Wasn’t my private diary illuminating enough for you?
Helena: It painted a clearer picture but not a complete one.
Lilith: Fine. Ask away if you must.
Helena: In your last journal entry, you clearly wanted away from Straud. Yet here you are all this time later, practically next-door neighbors.
Lilith: [irritably] Can you not just pry all of this out of my brother’s brain?
Helena: That would be invasive.
Lilith: You sound just like him.
Helena: Don’t change the subject. Did you ever actually leave Forgotten Hollow? And if you did, why did you ever return?
Lilith: I’m going to need another drink for this.
