(Fiora... also, I’m not dead! I’ve been playing lots of Xenoblade Chronicles 2.)

(Hi guys, I apologize for the lack of activity on here and on my Mythra blog. I recently started playing Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I’ve said this before on my main rp blog, but in case you don’t follow me there, I’ll keep it nice and short right here.)

(I went out yesterday with my family to get tested for COVID-19. Not just as a precautionary measure, but it was required for my Mom’s work. I knew about the cotton swab, but I had no idea that they needed to draw your blood.

While I am fine right now, since the test was yesterday, I was a complete mess when it was my turn. I have a phobia with needles, and I had an anxiety attack when I needed to have my blood drawn. My parents were right beside me, wearing masks. I have High Functioning Autisum/Asperger’s Syndrome, I’ve been living with it ever since I was young.

I couldn’t breathe when I saw the needles, and I’m the type of person that doesn’t like pain/hurt--physically and mentally.

It was scary to experience, and I broke down so much due to the anxiety I felt.)

機 | Behind that determination and confidence of his was someone who fears the worst--and if Shulk doesn’t do everything he can to stop those visions from coming true, those very fears will become reality. It was still unknown why Shulk was the ‘chosen one’, and why he can see the future with the Monado’s power--but if he can use it to help and save others, then he will.

“Haha, thanks. But if there’s even a slim chance of changing the outcome of the future, I’ll do everything I can to alter its course.” There’s no way Shulk would be able to come this far all on his own, and he would always make sure to let others know if he ever saw a vision. Although he had a determined look earlier, Shulk’s expression softens into a smile, nodding in agreement with Melia.

“Thank you, Melia. You have my trust and support as well. We’ll make it through this together, and forge a path to the future. You’ve been a great help to us, and I’m happy to have you coming along with us again. If there’s anything I can do to help, just let me know. I’m certain that Reyn and the others would say the same too.”

(At least, she looked like Fiora. But she didn’t recognise him, neither Reyn or her brother, Dunban.) Although it felt like he was being torn apart upon his childhood friend not responding back, he’s also relieved that she’s still alive.

“We’ll get her back. And we will find that faced Mechon that took the Emperor’s life too. We won’t let him get away with this.” Especially with the visions he’s received, there’s no way Shulk will let anyone else die on his watch. His blue eyes close briefly, before reopening once more with determination. “…I won’t allow it.” 

Not when I know that I can change the future. 

Shulk speaks with determination, but she can tell there is pain behind his words. It’s plain to see all over his face. The way he conducts himself. The pauses he takes in between sentences. But Melia wasn’t about to comment on that. She would prefer to focus on what will make Shulk feel better. More confident.

“I am certain we will. I have not traveled with you and your group for long, but I can tell it is a group destined for great things. Together, we shall forge our own destiny, and create a future we can all be proud of.”

“I shall see to it that I assist you in any way that I can. I trust in your abilities, as I hope you can come to trust in mine. We shall end the war between Bionis and Mechonis, one way or another.”

(I beat the Main Story of Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition. There’s just something about being able to play and beat the game yourself, rather than just watch a playthrough of it. Although I’m well aware of the story as a whole, I’m happy I was able to experience that wonderful game for myself.

And now I’ll be playing Future Connected before I play Xenoblade 2 and Torna - The Golden Country.)

He gives her an acknowledging nod, before looking back up at the skies above in Colony 6. “Yeah--thanks for asking, Melia. Truth to be told, I’m a little exhausted, but I’ll be fine.” Especially with how exhausting it was going out and about to gather materials to rebuild Colony 6. It’s a lot of hard work, but the end result will all be worth it.

“With all the travels we’ve taken in this journey, I’ve almost forgotten what it was like to take a break and relax.” So much is happening on Bionis, and the Mechonis, there isn’t a moment to lose. He’s come so far from being indoors most of the time, and missing out on the many discoveries of this world.

機 | “Dunban...?” There’s no way Shulk would never be spotted alone outside alone, even at this late hour of the night. Is it inevitable that Egil cannot be reasoned at all? Is there no other option than to just end Egil’s life in order to save all of Bionis? The very thoughts continue to cloud and overwhelm this Homs, and Dunban’s voice managed to snap him out of his inner doubts. 

“I...I’m alright. I just needed to gather my thoughts...but so much has happened, I can’t think straight.”
