Colored version of the previous drawing. Mizuki in MORE MORE JUMP’s uniform. Took a lot of reference from the N Mizuki card and Minori’s uniform. I didn’t know what to put for the background, so I decided to follow the official website’s color scheme for 25時 which is dark purple on top of a gray background. The website also has a lot of particle effects (the circles/triangles), so I tried to pay homage by using them as confetti.

At the Fountain. Second venture at a character + background image. My character drawings are getting better!

A new drawing I’m working on! I don’t have much experience drawing objects, so I tried really hard on drawing/painting the full background...and ended up cropping so much of it out! I’ve finished much of the background painting, but still need to color the character. Will post the colored version eventually.

Coloring took forever! Maybe it’s because I’m new at coloring, but I kept going back and forth between different shading techniques and ended up settling with something simple because I’d spent 2 weeks on it with no progress... We don’t speak about the fact that the background looks like she got transported to MS paint realm.

This...actually turned out really well! I’ve always wanted to draw a cute frilly maid outfit. Now to ruin it all by coloring it, haha.

My first venture into pixel art! It’s for a prototype game that I’m working on. It’ll never see the light of the public, so may as well share some of the art instead.

Y’know...at least the rough sketch turned out mostly okay.

It’s really easy to tell that I gave up. I had a beautiful image of a girl looking out the window in a cafe...and it turned into this retro-looking monstrosity. I tried experimenting with a different art process (color first + draw lights before shadows + low contrast color ramp) and I can’t say that I like it very much. Half of my problem with this is color choice, the other with the shading method. Leaving this here as part of my dark, dark history.
At the very least, the relatively low color contrast creates a very harmonious/warm piece compared to my other drawings that end up more pop-y/a little disjointed.

Another character for my game done! I tried my best with the coloring...the background, not so much. I also tried to subtly add a ton of “A” shapes in the background to represent how obsessed with success she is, but I think I might have been too subtle.

One of the new characters I’m working on. Wanted to give her an “elegant yet casual & approachable & hiding some dark secrets” vibe to her.
