Technoblade, a YouTuber on Minecraft has passed away at the age of 23. His family shared an emotional video of his funeral on behalf of him.
The video, titled "solong nerds", was posted to his 10 million followers and showed his father saying that he was "the most amazing kid anyone could ever wish for".
The US internet star gained fame by streaming live and uploading videos of his playing the videogame sandbox.
Last year, Technoblade revealed to fans that he was diagnosed with cancer.
The father of his son read his farewell message hours before his death. It began with "Hello everyone, Technoblade here." If you're watching this. I am dead."
He then revealed that his real name was Alex. He recalled the moment he tricked viewers into believing his name to be Dave.
He said, "Thank you all so much for supporting my work over the years," he added. "If I had another hundred years to live, I think I would prefer to be Technoblade over and over again because those were the most joyful years of my life."
The online star who took home Minecraft tournaments and had thousands of fans talking about his funny antics while playing the game, revealed in a February video for fundraising that he received chemotherapy, radiation therapy and a limb rescue operation after he developed a painful tumor.
Sarcoma, a rare type of bone and soft tissue cancer, was the cause of his death.
In August 2021, he announced his diagnosis of cancer. He explained that he initially believed that the pain that he was experiencing was due to an injury sustained due to playing too much. He was diagnosed with cancer after his arm began to swell.
It is not known much about Technoblade who kept his real identity secret until the very end. His online avatar was a photograph of an crowned pig.
His YouTube channel has 10.8 million subscribers. His bio says: "I play too many video games. It's possible that I'm not the best, but I do have hot elbows."
'Strategizing in heaven'
Following the news of his death his fans, fellow gamers and YouTubers paid tribute online.
J Schlatt recalled, "I'll never forget the day I met Technoblade." "I went to work early in order to play in a Minecraft tournament with him. I was unable to play... and the dude was able to carry us to win the entire tournament.
"Rest in peace, big guy. You'll always be a legend.
YouTuber Captain Puffy also known as Cara, tweeted: "Rest In Peace Technoblade. He always treated me with pure kindness. I was never denied from anything." He could not be more gracious!"
She said, "Thanks for everything you have done for this community. It will never be the same again without you."
Tommy Innit stated that "Technoblade" is an icon. I cannot express how grateful I am to have been in his life from being a huge fan to being one of his closest friends. I can tell he's planning in heaven on how to defeat God ..."
"I've been rewatching Technoblade's for the last hour," added Ludwig Ahgren. "He was so clever and humble in the toughest of times. He will always be a role model for me."
Quackity also expressed his gratitude on social media, posting: "I had the opportunity to convey to Technoblade how much admiration and respect I have for him, not just for the massive impact he had on all of us, but also for keeping his humour and wit even in the darkest of times. I will miss him so much."

Technoblade's father thanked his fans in the farewell clip, noting that "you really meant a lot to me"
He explained that a percentage of online purchases for the products of his son would now go towards the cause.
The video concluded with a statement written by his family. It said: "We, Technoblade, wanted you to know how the much he was loved and respected by his fans and colleagues."
"From Technoblade's first days online, he was constantly thinking of ways to delight and reward his followers by giving away prizes online and encouraging good sportsmanship and of course, sharing his Minecraft adventures for entertainment and laughs.
"Even after his success, he somehow managed his humour and good nature, and played with a delightful balance of self-deprecating confidence and confidence."
Minecraft lets players create their own virtual world by digging holes and collecting blocks.
Recent updates to the game have been utilized by children to develop their career skills, and to tackle real-world issues like flooding.
Ted Nevison described Technoblade as being "effortlessly humorous" and "endlessly talented". "Gone too soon," he said.
