i fucking hate the word "yap"

i hate the way it sounds, i lowkey hate the way it looks, i hate that its gotten so popular

during the past month i spent way too much time scrolling through memes on instagram. and yes, memes on instagram are just screenshots of tweets and tumblr posts. so, im assuming yApPiNg first got popular on twitter (tik tok?). either way, now that word is fucking everywhere

of course its fucking everywhere, thats how a meme works, right? i just do not get the appeal. every post is something like:

"when he agrees to go on a date with me but doesnt know im a certified yapper"

motherfucker you talk, maybe you overshare, maybe you dont make sense sometimes, there are so many other terms to use, can we please stop using this one?

im not really sure why i dislike that word so much. i think it just feels like its being used by the most boring ass basic people who decided to make talking their personality trait. i would say the word gives me the ick, but im also sick of seeing that phrase all the time
