I keep forgetting to post the other four mashups I made
They got finished recently I just haven't remembered to actually post them yet lol
I'll have to go through and equalize the audio in the video, and what doesn't help is that I don't have the raw album art for the songs :(
I'll try to do it tomorrow!

A Gift To Us All
I wrote this on a whim. I hope you like it. Take care of yourself! Moiwym.
Nothing.
I see nothing.
I hear nothing.
I feel
nothing.
The absence of absolutely anything at all is bearing heavy on my mind.
Where did everything go? Was there an everything in the first place? Why don't I know? Do I exist? Have I existed? Is there a mind in this empty space to truly think these thoughts?
I don't know. Maybe I can try to think of something else?
…
Why can't I think of anything?
…
I look back to an earlier, panicked thought.
Was there an everything in the first place?
While I can not find the answer to this question, it brings up another, much more important question.
How did I get here?
I know I'm thinking right now. As René Descartes once said, "I think, therefore I am." This would mean that I am, in fact, real, and therefore exist in this world, or the lack of one thereof. While this doesn't quite answer the question, it definitely helps me toward said answer.
…
Wait.
Who is René Descartes? Do I know this person?
…
I realize that this further proves that I exist. Even if he is an actual person who said this quote, or if he is fake and my mind came up with him on the spot, I still realize that things, such as people with names, exist or have existed.
This doesn't help me out of my situation, but it does give me direction. Maybe if I think enough, I might see the real world again.
…
If there was ever a real world to begin with.
Maybe I should start back at another question I brought up earlier. The one that started the string of thought about René Descartes:
How did I get here?
Did I end up here of my own accord? Was there divine intervention involved? Did something else, not dissimilar to me, put me here?
'Divine.' What does that word mean? I spouted the thought off without even knowing what it was referring to.
Have I been making things up this entire time?
…
Time. That's something I remember. If I'm thinking of this correctly, time is an idea constructed by humans in order to figure out how much longer they have before night falls.
Night. Am I experiencing night? Is that why it's so dark? If so, how much longer do I have until the Sun rises?
Sun. Dark. One brings light, and one is the aftermath of the event in which the light is taken away.
…
Oh.
The time thought, in which there was mention of humans.
Humans.
I knew humans.
I know humans.
I was human.
I am
human.
…
Things are fading into view.
They are bright.
…
Ah. That's what they are.
I see stars.
It's still dark, yet I see stars.
I hear wind.
I can not tell where it comes from, yet I hear wind.
I feel.
I can not touch, yet
I feel.
…
I am laying down.
I get up and analyze my surroundings. I am in a beautiful field. Grass, from here to the horizon, swaying with the breeze.
I am enamored by this incredible view.
Before long, the Sun rises.
The world wakes up.
It is clear to me now;
The wonder I experience, the whimsy I feel inside, the ideas in my head.
They make me human.
I do not know why it was so dark. I do not know how long it was dark. I do not know how long I sat in the dark, unable to see, hear, or feel.
This doesn't matter, for I have come to a major realization. A thought so powerful, it propelled me out of my pitch black stupor. A thought so incredible, it sent me into a state of fantastic inertia. A thought so glorious, yet so simple:
I am human, and I will always be human. Nothing, not even nothing itself, can change that, and I am incredibly lucky for that.

It's weird how some of the best music I have ever heard has come from artists that have very little released
For example, there is Polite Fiction, only sporting 1 EP and two singles, totaling to 8 songs. There's also RedHorizon (which I have written about before), 6 songs released. There's an artist called Bonnito who only has 1 song released, that being a cover of "All I Want" by A Day To Remember. All of the songs presented are great, but there is little else from the bands/artists, and that's kind of annoying. After all, we always want more of what we like, right?
If you haven't already, make sure to check out the mashups I made! You can find the link to them in the intro post I have up. They aren't of the highest quality, but I made them with love (I swear!!!)

Hello everyone!
You remember me saying the thing about mashups, right?
Well here you go!
Clicking on the link will send you to moimash, a channel where I will upload any future mashups I make (as well as the four I just uploaded!).
They aren't of the highest quality and I'm not the best at vocal isolation, but I still hope you like it!
The full source list is in the description of the video.
Enjoy!!

The second most recent Rare Americans album (Searching For Strawberries: The Story of Jongo Bongo) feels different from the rest, and I'm not entirely sure why
Rare Americans is a (ironically enough) Canadian alt-rock band, where most of their music is made to send a message, with topics ranging from how the world is too unfair (think "Love Is All I Bring" and "Gas Mask") to how much the good things can affect us (think "Shay" and "Mama Bear").
The two most recent albums leaned more into a specific topic than the other four (not counting RA 3 Deluxe), with Searching For Strawberries telling a story about a man trying to get away from all the pressures of life and The Human Animal being a commentary on the oppressive nature of a hypercapitalist society.
The major difference between Searching For Strawberries and the rest of Rare Americans' discography is in its subject matter; a man who is tired of it all and decides to leave to see the world for what it is outside of work. The way they present this idea to the viewer is through a fully animated storyline featuring the music from the album and moments of conversation between characters to connect the songs.
For the most part, it's still a typical RA album; the world sucks, but there are always things to live for. Though, a big thing about that is, in all albums beforehand, most of the songs were not connected. A few songs had recurring storylines, or had some relation to an event in a previous song, yet none of them really had a major overarching story to tell between songs. With all songs being connected to one another in Searching For Strawberries, it's hard to imagine it as an album rather than a soundtrack.
It feeling like a soundtrack is what's weird about the album, as I can't put my finger onto what might have changed it to be like that. Is it that I know that it's from what is essentially an animated film? Is it that they all tell similar storues to one another? Maybe it's that they all tell stories in the first place? I'm not sure. It's strange to listen to a good album and feel that it's wrong; "this is not like the rest of their albums, but why?" And this is where I'm left, with slight confusion and wonder at how Rare Americans did it.
I guess this is the semicolon episode; I think I like using them. Anyway, sorry for the short hiatus I had! It takes a while for the words to form in my head!

Geometry Dash wouldn't have changed my music tastes if it weren't for it introducing me to Newgrounds
I liked the regular songs a lot (and still listen to a few of them), but they just weren't too notable when it came to the level composition or their presentation. To this day, "Stereo Madness" by Forever Bound has me thinking less about the song and more about the first level of the game, which is almost as bare bones as it gets. Blue background, one block style, only cube and ship gamemodes, and overall lack of interesting or fun gameplay. I get that it acts as the tutorial of the game (if you don't count the 5 screen pop-up when you first play), but it should at least be good-looking.
But then there's the level editor. Every block design in the game, all objects, all harmful things, even coins. You can change some settings of the level in the top right, and with those settings is music choice. You can choose between all the songs from the mainline levels, or you can choose a custom song with a Newgrounds ID (by now, there's a built-in song library with other songs not in the game normally, but that's besides the point). This is where most of the magic happens when it comes to custom levels you'll find on Geometry Dash.
You can find a lot of different songs on Newgrounds, from some of the artists of the songs already in Geometry Dash, including Waterflame, DJVI, and Ocular Nebula. Aside from them, you can find artists people use a lot of music from in the game, including Creo, Bossfight, and Xtrullor. Creo, specifically, is the one that really pushed me in the direction I have been sent.
"Epilogue" by Creo is probably one of my favorite songs of all time. Being built to sound like the bittersweet ending to an otherwise action-packed and epic adventure, it manages to jerk tears from me every now and then. It is so expertly crafted that you would expect it to actually be from a movie or a video game, but no, it was just a piece of music made for fun (I guess??).
If it weren't for Geometry Dash, I wouldn't have listened to more of Creo, or Xtrullor, or DJVI, and my music obsession would have probably never started. Yet here I am now, talking about musicians and artists and bands no one cares about and hoping that someone will give them a shot. I hope you like them just as much as I do.
Obligatory end-of-rant silly sentence hoo hoo
