The LGBTA Wiki is Backsliding
This is going to be a fun one. I know I’ve been gone for a few months and this is definitely a hell of a come back, but there’s a reason for it.
I was really hoping that with the changing mod team and maybe the platform move, things would get better. And for a while, they did. There were still some pages that had some incorrect definitions listed and multiple pages with deleted, un-archived resources, but that was just residual from old problems. Then it seemed like something changed.
In the past month or so, there’s been an uptick in redefinitions and ones that are not getting fixed. This issue has gotten so bad that two Wiki users who, as far as I can tell, have not coined a single term both have list pages on Genderpedia for terms they’ve redefined.
These users (Xinaphoria and Xeno Bemo) have collectively redefined over twenty terms. The redefintions range from relatively minor, though still notable things - like changing the “happy aspects of dreamcore” in the Kidreamcoric definition to read “joyful aspects of dreamcore” - to far more egregious issues, like what was done to Creepcakic and every term that Xeno Bemo has touched. These changes are actively going unchanged by both mods and other users.
This whole thing can, in part, be put down to a lack of moderation. Regardless of how much change it seems that the new mods are trying to make, I doubt that there are enough to mod a Wiki of this size. Many users of this Wiki have made it clear that they have to be watched at all times to keep the Wiki reliable and the team of five running this Wiki is not a big enough number to do that.
I really think this Wiki needs stronger moderation. It’s clear that they are, to an extent, capable of positive change, seeing as they kept it up for months, but that small of a mod team can’t moderate a Wiki that’s as big as they are and that gets as much traffic as they do.
I’m not really sure what the major point of this post is, other than that I would advise anyone who’s started being more trusting of the LGBTA Wiki should start checking sources and be wary of everything said there.
Thank you for reading. Let’s hope things look back up.

Hey, today i've been binging your posts, and i like them! I was wondering something though: is this blog still active, since the Kris drama has ended? /gq /npa
Less active, but still active nonetheless. I plan on making a big post at some point about things that happened with the Neolabel Community Blocklist. I will not be making a big post about the Mogai Wiki like I did with the LGBTQIA+ one, since I'm sure it is perfectly functional now that Kris has left it.

hey, i was wondering if the old pages for blogs & people are going to be removed completely or just discontinued in the future
we're not entirely sure as of now. our plan is to remove them completely, but we're not sure what to do with the information on those pages, if that makes sense? we're trying to figure out if we should turn the lists of terms into projects, or if the coiner should get a category, etc. but we most likely will remove them completely.
if you're confused by anything, feel free to send another ask ^^
#this is good information and something i know people were concerned about#im happy to see theyre changing this#mod mercury

(From another submission, who is anonymous)
"Hi, I still want to be anonymous, but this is another update (hopefully the final one): Kris has deleted his Reddit, Instagram, Discord, Zazzle, and even Pronouny. His Patreon post can't be viewed by regulars, but it looks like things are changing. His creator-spring is still up, same with his Twitter, but neither is updated, and it seems like he's making it so he can't log into his Tumblr anymore."
--
From this update, it looks like Kris is finally pulling back. He no longer has any means of contacting the affected people, nor does he have any standing in the community that could possibly cause further fighting. Honestly, I would have much preferred he just apologize in a normal way (I do not find literal account deletion of everything to be necessary, and I'm a little confused why he'd go this route instead of making amends and moving on), but if this is what he prefers to do, I'm for it. Whatever ends the bullshit is fine by me, I guess.
On one hand, I'm glad this has happened as he no longer has any power over people, but on the other, I am mildly concerned, and I would prefer not to push this issue any further than is absolutely necessary, which seems to have happened for the time being. While I am not one to feel guilty over talking about big community members, I also don't want to be unnecessarily cruel and follow him around when there is nothing to follow.
So, for now at least, this is (hopefully!) the end of the Kris drama. I have no idea what's going on with Mogai Wiki right now, but I hope they're able to move on from it. I also hope all the former mods, members, etc. are able to handle this smoothly, and that nothing else happens in that regard.

so kris just set his instagram to only be viewable if youre 25 or older. kris is 23. he probably lied setting up the account which i feel like is kind of funny, hes so eager to hide from peoples criticism and attempts to get him out of the community that hes willing to expose that he lied about his age on his account when he set it up (iirc he was 17 when he set up most of his accounts)
I went to check this for myself and wow, he really did. Considering that the account was set up years ago I don't think it's worth focusing on the fact that he lied about his age back then, but the fact that he just now changed it to 25+ when he's not even 25 yet is definitely not making me think much better of him

Another Update (3/24)
1. Kris has either been removed, or stepped down from r/XenogendersAndMore (yay!)... Unfortunately, he made a guilt tripping and passive aggressive post again (unyay!). TW for mentions of hospitalization and eviction. (https://archive.ph/r6FoW)
2. He's restricted his Instagram to people 25 and older. He isn't 25 yet by the way. He's probably just seeking privacy though so I don't really care.
3. He sent us (this blog) a big whole submission earlier. No, I am not posting it for the sake of others. It's mostly guilt tripping. He did explain some of the things that he's been doing, and why he's doing them, however: The reason why his Tumblr accounts and the like are still active largely due to queues, and having backlogged work he wants to put out before he leaves. He told us he wants privacy, which I think is funny when he tried to "expose" me as someone else a few days ago, DMed a random person about a form without their consent, and has generally not let people have their own opinions on this situation without blowing up at them.
--
Overall, I'm not shocked. Whenever Kris has gotten into drama before, it's turned into this. I'd always been a little worried for him in the past, discourse wise, considering it just doesn't seem like he can handle this sort of stress, even though he tended to be the one to start it. If he hadn't been such an ass to us, I'd feel worse. But, he kinda treated us like garbage, so I don't have it in me right now. Maybe when he apologizes in a way that isn't laced with guilt tripping.
He's also saying that he's "trying" to be civil "but" it's hard when we're "archiving him", when he hasn't been civil At All this entire time and that is why I'm so pissed, so this is just ironic. Goodness, it must be so hard to be civil to the people you've already been an asshole to? Furthermore, we're not archiving him except in the sense that people in this community deserve to know if he's a mod in a giant community of three thousand people where he has executive control of the narrative. That's a safety risk for others, not you, Kris.
Once again, I have a hard time taking him at his word when his actions are very clearly so different. Were I to know nothing about this situation, I'd feel a lot different about what he sent, but with the context, it's embittering. It's hard to listen to someone talk about having breakdowns while also knowing he's caused that for multiple other people, including his old friends.
It just makes me a tad bit angry that he wants us to worry over his mental health when he hasn't considered the health of others this entire time, even when directly making it worse by, well, being an ass. it's also odd he's acting like part of this is our fault, when the only reason this really began is because he was being a dick to other people, and probably would have gotten away with it scot free if people didn't bring it up. When he stops Being A Dick, there will be little reason to continue this discussion. I don't post about Kris for funzies.
I am going to keep my focus on the people who were hurt. Not how much the person who perpetrated it is having a hard time for doing so. As far as I'm concerned this is not about Kris, it's about keeping the rest of the community safe and informed. Maybe this will change when the people get a proper apology- no guilt tripping and making it about himself required- but that has yet to happen. And that is a bare minimum.

My favorite thing about this entire drama is, Kris has been constantly battling the idea that they were immediately going to do term removals, because it was just a suggestion. The funny part about this is.... we know. The vast majority of people know. It isn't that he had already disrespected our boundaries, it was the fact that he was genuinely, seriously, considering it, and likely would have done so if people hadn't started a scene.
Very few people care about whether or not he was considering breaking our boundaries, or had already done so. I don't care if he's punching me or just considering it, because I'm going to turn bitter anyways. It's just wild to me that even when he's trying to discuss what happened, he can't even get to the root of what ended up making so many people- me included- incredibly angry.
Considering the idea of not respecting the works of other people- things he does not own, and does not get ownership of just because he owns a wiki- and getting increasingly aggressive, insulting people, and swearing at them, even when they're being perfectly nice, is a problem. Trying to force people not to talk about it outside of a server he had power in is a problem. Lashing out at his friends, and his former mods, is a problem.
I, and the other mods here, don't give a damn about his awful suggestion, and I wouldn't have really cared if he took any form of criticism well and ended up not doing it. The issue is, he didn't. He took an issue that could have been resolved through being respectful of other coiners and community members, and he just showed his true nature because of it. He hurt people, he claimed all the people hurt were lying about him, he wished horrible things on them, and he ran away to other sites instead of "leaving the community." It's exhausting!

I am posting this from a submission. Information found and archives created were not by me, however I did rewrite parts of this post for the submitters safety, as they would like to stay anonymous.
--
Kris is one of the mods of r/XenogendersAndMore, which is the biggest Xenogender Subreddit I know of (around 3k). He signed on as a mod less than three weeks ago (https://archive.ph/t4klG), despite talking about how he has to decrease his workload- even citing this when he closed r/ezgender. (https://archive.ph/qkTaT)
This is an issue because he has had full control on the narrative surrounding Mogai Wiki, and everything that happened a few days ago. The only current posts on the situation are by him, where he paints everyone who was upset as a bad faith misinformation spreader (https://archive.ph/kZ8zv). He’s been active on the subreddit since this point, and has not addressed the situation at all (https://archive.ph/gOsg1) (https://archive.ph/8aq67). I'm not sure if the other mods know about this, and I'm worried about everyone on that subreddit.
He’s continuously going on rants about how toxic and awful the community is and how it’s awful for his mental health, and yet he isn’t leaving- just moving to a place where nobody knows what he’s done, and where he has the ability to remove anything from people who do. I don’t see any way he’s not going to treat the subreddit mods the exact same way he treated the Mogai Wiki mods and users (hint: very badly.)
He seems to believe there’s some kind of massive movement to paint him in a bad light, and is being awful to the people he thinks are involved. I’m worried about bringing this up to the other mods, because he’ll almost certainly get wind of it and decide I’m part of the problem, in which case I’d never hear the end of it.

oh lord hi! I'm mod crepe of @wafflebotz ! i didn't expect you guys to reblog my post.. ^^;;
so.. a big reason why i posted it in the first place was actually because before Kris made a post telling people to send an ask to the mogai wiki tumblr(which few has seen so far), nobody could dm the account at all. so i had to dm his geckorph account(about seeing if my terms were there and getting them removed, luckily mine were never posted there)and even told him I couldn't dm the account, ngl he should have double checked if folks could dm the account but hey.. hindsight's 2020!
also here's a cute gif of Tempo the uh bug from the sega 32x game... Tempo!
thanks and have a good day!
Oh, damn. I didn't know that part. Sheesh! You're doing great with helping on the term removal process.
Also that GIF is very cute, lol. Thanks!

hey! if your a mogai coiner who's found out about about your terms being on the mogai wiki(formerly ezgender wiki)without your consent and lack a tumblr account(and don't feel comfortable joining the site yet)? well your in luck, i'll be turning on anon so folks can ask us to send an ask on your behalf to the mogai-wiki account here on tumblr for you! all you need to do is provide basic proof that you were the coiner, that way we can let the wiki staff know what needs to be removed. hopefully this helps!

A post from Kris, on his Patreon. I encourage those affected to read it.
https://www.patreon.com/posts/64101591
Plain, copied text below the cut.
i do want to talk more about the recent tumblr incident, but don't really have ability to put words together... at the same time, i think i probably won't ever be able to phrase it better.
i've been a right ass to people who cared about me and supported me. i'm not happy with myself. i'm not going to defend what i've done anymore. it was toxic. what happened was a huge misunderstanding that could've been resolved better if i hadn't chosen to be so self righteous and had better control of my triggers.
i'm not really well enough to summarize what happened. you can read about it with these three links: https://mogai-wiki.tumblr.com
https://genderheaven.tumblr.com
https://lgbtawiki.tumblr.com
the two most important parts of this post that are relevant for you patrons:
1) no one can judge you if this makes you choose to unpledge. that's your right.
2) i have left tumblr, the mogai wiki, and the attached discord. there will be another post soon with a link to a new discord that is exclusive to patrons and donators, and I'll distribute cat photos there primarily.
i'm no longer affiliated with the mogai wiki on miraheze whatsoever.
i'm not going to issue any apologies right now, but because all i can really do is give lackluster words and that's not what anyone who witnessed this deserves at all. i think a better apology for the time being is actually going away like i said i was going to.
#I was going to write a big thing on this situation#But it seems Kris is... getting it together. Possibly.#Here's to hoping. /gen

yeah reading that last DM screenie. kris is not ok and needs to leave this community for his and our mental sake
I agree. I feel guilty for looking up to him, and explicitly promoting his wiki when discussing the merge.

A DM between Kris and yet another former mod. Submitted to me by them, I have taken out their username just in case. Long post.
Afterwards, the former mod was blocked by Kris. This person was yet another individual who had known Kris for a decent amount of time, and had worked on the wiki previously, yet when suggestions were brought up, Kris snapped at them. This is becoming a running theme.
