it isn’t just ‘ Kai is bugs ‘ its ‘ kai is a host for a parasite ‘ which is 10x more fascinating to me. it draws from his innate goal of wanting to protect his family to now being forced to protect / help a creature against his will whose also just trying to survive . I love it here
