bluetooth headphones should be ONE OF the options, not the ONLY option. it's not like they're removing bluetooth on devices with 3.5mm jacks, so it costs wireless headphone enjoyers literally nothing to support others' preferences.
also, let's not kid ourselves. the main reason wireless has become "the predominant style" nowadays is because companies like apple and everyone else who followed the trend FORCED IT ONTO US ALL by removing the jack so they could profit more.
not to even mention how wireless audio devices are more expensive and pretty much guaranteed to die after a couple of years due to their lithium batteries. these things are all designed to be unrepairable, too, which stings just that little bit more when you remember the slave labor and rare earth metals that go into making them.
meanwhile, wired audio devices (when designed well) can last literal decades, are repairable (sometimes), never run out of charge, can't experience blocked or lost signal, and have categorically better sound and microphones. even the crappiest wired earphones are cheaper and last longer than wireless ones 2-10x the price.
so while i respect people's preference for wireless due to convenience or just hating having to deal with pesky wires (trust me, i feel that too)... cmon. be serious here.

#this reminds me of when people say computers/software/algorithms/robots/ai can't be racist or US-centric#like if they are coded anywhere down the line by someone who has never bothered to consider other ethnicities/languages/cultures#then these things will 100% reproduce the biases and blindspots of their creators/datasets#look no further than shit like those old ai image recognition models who couldn't consistently identify black people as people#because the training data used by the creators did not sufficiently represent the real world#or even that haha funni pixelated obama upscaled by ai to random white dude#OR EVEN THIS VERY POST#seems harmless til you realize people who use different scripts or even just less common unicode characters#may disproportionately believe their dogshit passwords are secure and be more easily hacked by any dipshit scammer from the same country
