I know that there are a lot of scary + troubling things happening in the world right now, but as a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community I felt like I had to comment on recent news about gay men being kidnapped and killed in concentration camps in Chechnya. Calls by human rights campaigners against the abuses have been met with denial that LGBTQ people even exist there. Not enough people are talking about this, and silence cannot stand.
