to me the murderbot books and the tv show are still two separate things (which is good - the tv show is an adaptation, it doesn't have to recreate the books exactly nor should it) but I'm getting a kick out of how being able to SEE SecUnit's face recontextualizes things.

like. in the books the PresAux crew treats SecUnit like a person because they are A) nice in general and B) ethical

in the show the PresAux crew is still A) nice in general and B) ethical, but they're also C) fairly certain their SecUnit is a person because every time they talk to it directly it looks like it's going to throw up

i went to "mad at me" island expecting to find people i knew, something i understood. but when my boat landed, standing upon the shore were a million empty husks wearing my own face. every foot of the island was occupied, and everywhere i went, they watched me with contempt. they never spoke, never breathed. they simply watched. no matter how i grovelled and begged, snarled and cursed, tried to hide or kicked and hit, they simply stared. the hatred in their gaze was inescapable, but i could hardly return it, knowing that their doomed existence was of my own creation. knowing that the hatred was nobody's but my own. in the end i just wept, unable to stand the relentless gaze of my own infinite glare.

the guy who i accidentally cut off in traffic last week was there also

One of the biggest things I've ever drawn!!! Damn these backgrounds 💀 And detailing 💀💀 But I really enjoyed drawing this! Learnt a lot from this comic of what style I'd like to have, the pipeline and so on.

Being a manager is actually hilarious because I am many people's first experience with The Man which can already be confusing and overwhelming, but I like to complicate matters by answering their questions with "this is what policy says, but ask me again when I'm off the clock" which now turns a stressful situation into a Riddle they did not ask for
