So I commissioned someone who is NOT on Fr and don’t knows the site to draw Kain a while ago. Yesterday while I wasn’t pying attention they accepted. Took the ref and finished today.

And i come to my Inbox to find a picture of HD april fools Kain drawn for me.  THIS IS NOT WHAT I WANTED.

At the same time I can’t blame the person at all because they thought this was his legitimate fucking ref I’m weeping. Its such bad timing it’s hilarious.

The fact that they can turn Plague into mad max rock n roll wasteland survivalists who fight literal representations of being consumed by death in the form of zombies instead of vague “they’re about survival and wear bones and are the bio side of evolution! :)” and this would solve so many problems but refuse to, sure is getting to me tonight.

Plague users like the flight for the aesthetics it already exposes, they didn’t make it up. But there is a desire to make Plague not just the edgy horror flight, to make it something more, and I get that. So make them the flight that when things go bump in the night, they bump back, to quote Hellboy.

Zombies can be part of plague flight, make them the unintended result of viruses and experiments, let the zombie skins represent advanced diseases, let the zombie skins be disease taking over a body completely. Give Plague something to fight against. Most of the flights have something that they didn’t intend or is a foil against their theme.

This whole “we can’t let you actually show survival wounds and injuries, so you have to use zombies. btw zombies aren’t canon.” is so tiring when there is an answer. Scarred Wasteland zombies are canon, the Plaguebringer does not like them, get in the car loser, we’re killing zombies. Perhaps some zombie diseases can be resisted and survived but you end up looking like one?

IN ADDITION let our horror members have the options to have flights that view zombies as the ultimate survivalist, they will never die with the help of their virus and they can ‘procreate’ through new infections. Or they use zombies as like grunts or something idk.

Just give plague flight something jfc let us be punk rock wastelanders with unconventional bodies who are forced to fight zombies to get a scratch of life in this world, this is what I want.

TL;DR Plague should lean into survivalist aspect in a high concept way that is very accessible and actually lends itself to lore and the skins they get every year, thanks.
