No Giant Apple Sculpture for Larky’s Semester Tester

Quite a few people are doing uni in the hood and using Larky’s Semester Tester, but it’s that rather awful giant apple sculpture. I didn’t want that apple for each of my sims, so I added a “3D model” to Larky’s tester that lets it be this appropriately tidy set of books and bookends. Pic shows it working on a test lot in a main hood. Now that it has the 3D model added, you can change this file in SimPE with this tutorial if you prefer some other object. Day 7 -- Ain’t no party like the childbirth party ‘cause the childbirth party don’t stop!!

The Goode-Kari household welcomed Oliver and Ana’s first child, Reginald. Just moments before his birth, Ana sat with Oliver and Raj to discuss the new power plant/water tower that Tien and Harrison created blueprints for. Week 2 will see the dawn of plumbing and solar/wind energy! all at the low, low price of $60k.

And after much trying, Michael and Becca were finally able to conceive again. Even though they’re both Family sims, I actually think they have the hardest time conceiving. They’re also the shittiest parents (even worse than Yolanda). Gee, imagine that!

The Nguyen household had a birth of its own -- welcome to the world, Kokona!

The Porter-Greenes had a second-trimester baby bump and a birthday for little Yossan Greene Porter, who looks absolutely adorable. :) I think this is the cutest batch of toddlers I’ve witnessed thus far.

Day 6 - Birthdays! Alexander Goode and Katya Nguyen both grew into toddlers the night and morning of Saturday respectively (Katya is the oldest child in the neighborhood by six hours or so).

Aside from that, everything progressed unremarkably. Yossan Greene Porter will grow up soon, and Tien and Ana are due any day now.

Day 4 (no pictures) - Ana Kari moved into the Goode household (now Goode-Kari) in preparation for her wedding to Oliver Goode.

While Raj and Tien were visiting the Goodes, ACR went to work and they used an upstairs bed to woohoo. This led to another pregnancy in the Nguyen household. Yes, my precious...procreate! SPAWN!!! SPAWN WITH VIGOR.

*ahem*.

Day 5 - Yolanda and Harrison welcomed baby Yossan Greene Porter to the world just before sunrise. Don’t let that smile on Yolanda’s face fool you -- in keeping with current Corinth childbirth tradition, she promptly placed her son on the cold floor to go bathe herself with a water bucket.

At the Goode-Kari household, Ana and Oliver Kari (formerly Goode) had an informal wedding ceremony in front of friends and family. Ana Kari had the privilege of being the first one to wear a more “traditional” wedding dress, since she sewed her wedding gown herself in preparation for the big day. Thankfully her pregnancy did not reveal itself until that night, so she was still able to fit her dress.

Tien’s pregnancy became visible much sooner than Ana’s -- Tien left the Friday wedding ceremony early to go home and take a nap, but she was startled to consciousness by the expansion of her stomach! How exciting!

Day 3 - Childbirth! Tien Nguyen gave birth to a baby girl, Katya, early Wednesday morning. Her husband Raj is the father (which is a fucking relief, since Oliver and Tien woohoo’d mere hours prior to her woohoo with HER ACTUAL HUSBAND. I did not take pictures. I was too pissed.).

At noon, Becca gave birth to Alexander with husband Michael Goode, brother Oliver Goode, and BFF Ana Kari in attendance. After witnessing two births in one day, Ana was understandably traumatized. Unfortunately for her, she actually conceived Oliver’s child that day. ;)

Seemingly far away from all the riff raff of motive failures and socializing, Yolanda and Harrison were also expecting their bundle of joy. Yolanda began to show her pregnancy near the end of day three.

Day 2 -- Most of the action happened in the Kari-Nguyen household today.

Tien and Becca’s honeymoon pregnancies made themselves known, but Tien was able to conceive just hours prior to Becca (a bitter loss on her part). Raj and Tien are excited to have the honor of raising Corinth’s first-born child! Yolanda and Harrison (not pictured) did not conceive at all, and are still trying (or being forced to try, rather. They would rather not have children, but I refuse to waste genetic material this early in the city-building process. They know what they signed up for!)

At the Kari-Nguyen home, I noticed that Ana and Oliver were currently unattached (although Oliver has displayed a propensity to attaching himself to certain paired women *coughcough*Tien*coughcough*Yolanda*coughcough*), so I decided to have them do an innocent ACR woohoo to see if Ana would get pregnant. They were already best friends/BFFs and constantly rolled wants to interact with each other in friendly contexts, so what’s a little casual woohoo between friends?

They both fell in love and immediately rolled wants to get engaged. Neither one of them are of the Family persuasion. Oliver likes to seduce taken women and Ana actually prefers women slightly more over men (or she did).

Eh, it works.

Soon the harsh winters of Corinth became too much to safely endure in tents, and space within the makeshift cabin at the beach was sparse. With a little help from the other founders, Tien was able to finish constructing the bones for generational homes in the forested area.

Day 1 - On Day One of their official settlement in Corinth, two weddings were had -- the wedding of Becca and Michael Goode (formerly Apple), and the wedding of Tien and Raj Nguyen (formerly Kari). Both weddings were beautiful, but Becca felt that her classic orchard wedding was far more superior.

Shelter!!

Tien, our Future City Planner(TM), has finally reached level 3 in Mechanical and Logic. After gathering enough lumber for the project, she enlisted the help of the other settlers in constructing small shacks for everyone in the winter. More lumber, body, logic, and mechanical skills* will be needed before she can build separate homes, but so far there are no complaints.

Due to the limited amount of lumber and simpower, only four bedrooms with double-beds were made to house the eight of them. What a shame. ;)

*Tien must have max body/mechanical/logic OR a family must have a toddler and Tien must have 5 logic skills, whichever comes first. This is so that Tien will have enough energy (body) to construct the homes, rudimentary knowledge of plumbing and solar-powered electrical systems (mechanical) for greater comfort, and an intelligent design plan for how the founders’ cottages will be laid out (logic) in relation to the future layout of the province.
