THAT’S A LOT OF PINK! Adding different tones of pinks, textures and shapes still gives an effective and refreshing vibes to the room. Styling the room with little trinklets and personalised touches is a great way to bring different Elements of pinks. My client was super surprised with their bedroom, she loved it. I will be adding a window blind as well as table and chair (dresser). . . . . #pinkbedroom #bedroominterior #bedroomstyling #interiordesign #polkadots #wallpainting #wallartprints #kidsbedroomdecor https://www.instagram.com/p/CH5iVqLnoRq/?igshid=gy9qqzdxhkcd

Converting a small scale space into a classic master bedroom. The black and white touches not only widened the room but also gives a modern look. Adding soft greys, texture and prints creates a relaxing and airy ambiance. https://www.instagram.com/p/CFNmYQ-Dfw5/?igshid=3br1rt80ur53

Transforming a simple and small space with great potential. Whilst maintaining the simplistic elements of the hall - using natural features helped to liven the entryway and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. https://www.instagram.com/p/CFPM7Vhjawh/?igshid=1fcqpe94yp36b

Decorating another bedroom. When working with a lower budget, eye catching patterns work well to quickly transform a once bare room into a more vibrant one- whilst adding handmade frames to embellish the walls and give it a homely setting. https://www.instagram.com/p/CFRzpdQDJ6n/?igshid=u8z13vtux8eb

Here is a view of a living room design. Using darker tones in a small living space, can make a room appear and feel even smaller. To achieve a warm, cosy, rich yet spacious ambience, I adopted sharp, clean lines contrasted with neutral colour scheme blending with lighter colour rug and drapes. Finishing the space with accents, emphasising the beauty of the space, resulting in a sleek and functional living room. . . . . #homedecor #livingroomstyle #interiordesign #illustration #winter #tartancushions #fineart #interiorstyle #functionaldesign https://www.instagram.com/p/CGipHMcHpUV/?igshid=r9f746yetory

Working with a generous bedroom space, I chose to go with a dusty pink wall paint colour; Matt ballet slipper @johnstonespaint, as the client request a pink inspired design bedroom. The new wall colour brought so much life into the space, such a huge contrast to the white walls. I was very happy with the wall colour, however for a kids room, it felt a bit too bare. So making some changes to the design, I chose to paint white and grey polkadots feature wall. . . . . #kidsbedroomdecor #kidsinterior #pinkgirlsrooms #girlyroom #polkadotswall #featurewall #smallspacesquad #kidsroomstyling #childroominterior #wallpainting #colourfulkidsroom #roomforkids https://www.instagram.com/p/CHWQHtNnETw/?igshid=saefbwjdjcz9

Artist’s Statement
My work focuses on the implementation and personal physical interaction with the materials used. Choosing to use easily accessible and recyclable materials such as paper and the fabric within my immediate environment, I worked to redefine the unique relationship between object and space. I created forms and textures to represent an organic nature, nostalgic of my African roots.
Using my bare hands, I moulded forms to create the Collagraphs that would act as my signature; this allowed me full control of the material and for me, the sense of control felt during the process of forming my art was fundamental in expressing my state of mind. The manipulation of the materials used, enabled a spontaneous flow of creativity. Although unplanned, this aspect of control allowed me to express myself without the restrictions of written word.
My work is inspired by the need to explore and successfully portray the complex human state of feeling the intensity of two contrasting emotions. I worked to convey the feelings felt when in a confined space, (trapped, caged, captured and desolation) yet still feeling a sense of, (safety, protection, equanimity and elation) in visual terms.
However, I have always endeavoured to create work that is ambiguous enough to elicit interpretation, in contrast with my original pieces which primarily focused on the relationship between music and art. This particular body of work aims to tantalise the spectator to engage with it on a personal level, creating their own interpretations, in the same way that I did whilst creating each piece.

Work displayed for the Degree Show
The journey to final piece has been challenging however, I feel that this body of work extended my knowledge and certainly push my boundaries.
In displaying my work on an in built pillar. This allowed me to expand the platform for my work. the use of the pillar means that the paper sculptures can be  viewed clearly from various angles, heightening the viewer's experience.
