“Happy White Day? Do people even say that...? Ah, screw that, I never did that kind of thing before. But since you gave me obligation chocolates for Valentine’s day, I felt like giving you these... with the same feelings, of course.” He was feeling too ashamed to buy her any chocolate, after he received that one insanely expensive brand from her last time. So he handed her a nicely wrapped bag of cookies he got from a nearby confectionery instead. “It’s nothing fancy- but I hope you enjoy."
It was natural to receive return treats for White Day and well, Sou had somewhat proven himself to be a halfway decent guy most of the time, so it shouldn’t have been so surprising that he would actually up and return her present. Moreover… she was pretty happy about receiving something from Sou in general. Or maybe not! It was normal to be happy about receiving presents from anyone, right? It didn’t have to be Sou! Yeah, that was it! “I’m surprised that you even remembered. Did you even get any other chocolates on Valentine’s Day?” Whatever cutting words came out of her mouth were probably softened by the genuinely happy look on her face, smile widening a bit more when she received the cookies from the other. She wasn’t really expecting him to buy some kind of expensive chocolate in return in general, just the sentiment was enough to touch her – even if he insisted that it was also out of obligation.
“Mm, but you did buy me something… so thank you. They look really tasty - maybe you’ve learned how to pick out presents a little better now!” Of course, she was talking about Christmas, where he had gotten her that stupid cooking for dummies book that was still in her apartment. Not that she would ever tell him something like this, but she did take a peek into the pages and took some advice from the pages… she doubted that he even bothered to read the book before giving it to her so it wasn’t like he could ever guess it! Cookies at least were a little more easy to enjoy when given as a present.
“Um,” Remembering that he shared her chocolates last time and how… much of an admittedly good time they had, it only felt right to offer the same now! Plus, it wasn’t like she could be able to finish all of these by herself either. “Well, these cookies look like they’d be good with tea also, right? I-I just so happened to get some new tea in today that I haven’t tried out yet, so do you wanna come in and try these cookies together?”

“Obsessed with you? Ahaha, don’t flatter yourself, miss Lili!” But that was Lili, dishonest as usual, and he really didn’t expect her to actually do as he says either. Which was why he was already preparing to take his leave. He didn’t really want to end up being some creepy guy, that wouldn’t leave some girl alone, after all. That was at least before Lili grabbed for one of his sleeves to stop him from doing so.
He probably looked more surprised than intended, when he looked at her embarrassed expression, that really asked him to accompany her. Hah, that was surprisingly honest… and kind of cute. Of course he’d rather swallow a thousand needles than ever telling her that thought out loud though. But how was he supposed to refuse her now? Ah well, just for today, he could handle to listen to some fortune teller nonsense.
He tried his best to make his face muscles relax from the former surprise. Probably to Lili’s dismay, then he again looked rather smug, when giving her a little pat on her head now. “See? Was that really that hard? Fine, let’s take a look inside there then, shall we?”
He walked in front, since Lili seemed to still be a little flustered, when entering the tent. Unfortunately, already after going inside there, Sou started to regret his decision already a little. Those aromatic candles smelled and made him feel dizzy, and the lady that was supposed to be the fortune teller, did look like a little crazy as well. Oh boy, why were girls so into these kind of things? Ah well, it was too late to take his leave now. Especially when the creepy madame told them to sit down already. Doing as told, he just took his seat and waited for Lili to do the same, before he could whisper his thoughts to her:
“Wh-what do you even plan to ask her? I’ve never did this kind of thing before… Shouldn’t she know before we even ask anyway? She should, if she really could see into the future, I mean.”
Lucky for Sou that Lili’s head was still lowered from embarrassment during his whole little surprised reaction. Gah, she was almost sure that whatever smug expression was on his face would make every nice nerve in her body immediately shift into anger -- but he really was taking a while to respond to her request. Maybe she had successfully taken him off guard? Just as she was about to lift her head a little bit to peek, there came Sou Hiyori’s hand, patting her on the head in such a patronizing manner that she had to lift her head the rest of the war -- displeased sound slipping from her with just the absolutely smug look on his face. “Ugh, you’re terrible. Terrible.” It was worth repeating, Lili managing to brush his hand off her head before he went off towards the tent. This better be worth it!
At least the fortune teller at the aura of a... someone immersed in tarot and the like. It was hard to see too much in front of them from the smoke of the aromatic candles and the scent only mixed with the incense that was burning somewhere in this tent too. Wasn’t this a fire hazard? The grizzled old lady who greeted them seemed rather pleased with the state of it at least, Lili almost tripping over the leg of one of the chairs as she went to sit down as instructed.
“Idiot, she’s a fortune teller, not a mind reader! You’re supposed to ask her about, you know, future success! Your life goals! Your um, your love life if you’re into that. T-That’s what I’ve heard anyway!” Her whisper was a little louder from that, but she couldn’t say that she didn’t understand his hesitation. They were in a dark, smokey, fire hazard that could probably end whatever future was in the horizon with a misplaced candle. She was about to make a comment on that, when the madame in front of them just slammed both of her hands down around the crystal ball centered on the table in front of her, pointing a bony finger at the both of them and demanding that they remain quiet in front of the spirits or nothing would come to her.
“S-Sorry... I- eep!” She definitely jumped when the fortune teller slammed her hands down again to silence her again - alright geez! Maybe she wasn’t supposed to talk then! God, maybe this really was a bad idea.

sagishin:
“Come on, don’t look at me like that! It’s not my fault, if you put stuff inside the bag, that doesn’t belong there in the first place. Ever heard of recycling?!” What was with this displeased look and complaint?! This bag was heavy! And even if it wouldn’t be, she should be more grateful that he was helping her out in the first place. Ugh, of course this was what he’d get for offering his help to a stranger. He should have known better. But what if she was actually right, and there really wasn’t anything heavy in the bag… He was very well aware of his lack of strength after all… but still… He couldn’t lose this fight! Alone for his pride he’d fight on!
“Just know, this is a one time thing! I wish you a lot of fun the next time you have that much trash to get rid of, miss Lili…” But for real, why was he the only one sweating from this?!
After panting for good two minutes, he took his frustrations, be it towards Lili or his non existent muscles, and tried to convert this into some of his power reserves. With a heavy sigh, and still without stopping the panting anytime soon, he picked up the trash bag once again.
He still had to lead the way to the dumpster after all… and it probably took waaay more time than it should have, until they reached the right spot. A heavy sigh left the teal haired guy, when he finally could let go of that heavy garbage.
With tired eyes he looked now towards his new neighbor. What do you even say after a weird first encounter like that. Ah well, whatever. If he was lucky, he wouldn’t have to see her too often around here anyway.
“And…?” He asked, but needed a breather before he continued. “The dumpster wasn’t that hard to find after all, huh?”
“There’s nothing in there except for take out containers and other light things! Nothing like cans or anything that would ever weigh your delicate arms down that much, I’m carrying one too, genius!” Ugh, her mouth was running before her brain now, but really Lili hadn’t ever seen anyone struggle this much with trash! It would be another thing if she really did have a bunch of maybe cardboard boxes or even something actually heavy in there, but it wasn’t a heavy bag, it was just a full one. Watching someone struggle with that bag and pretending like it was some kind of large boulder or even a body was just... it was really sad! And she had to fight back the urge to yell about just how pathetic it was when they were still inside of the complex. No way did Lili want to make her debut here as the girl who got into an argument with the beanie man on her first week here.
“I’m not gonna ask you again, I’ll remember where the dumpster is next time! Maybe I should just come and pick up your trash too while I’ll at it, since you’re having such a hard time with this!” That being said, he really went right back to picking up her ‘heavy’ bag of trash and trying his best to make it down the stairs all while panting heavier than a dog after a long run -- a slight pang of guilt hitting Lili when all of the anger had pushed out of her system. Geez, here Sou was doing a nice thing and she had just yelled at him... Not like everyone was expected to be the epitome of weightlifting and he really didn’t have any need to help her out with this. That heavy sigh of his drew a bit of a wince out of her, silently following suit and tossing her other bag of trash into the dumpster as well when they finally reached their goal.
“N-No,” Crap, there was no way she could meet his eyes right now. “It wasn’t that hard at all...” A pause.
“Uh, are you... are you okay?”

sagishin:
Sou didn’t really expect for Lili to accept his invitation. It was true that he did worry about her, and that she would have no dinner else. But only now that she was following him to his own apartment, made him realize, that it was kinda late, and he just invited a girl over. Of course, it was just for dinner… and it was Lili… He didn’t even think about there being any weird tension, but… he was pretty sure, that his apartment wasn’t really ready for some female visit at the moment. Why didn’t he think about that earlier?!
Before opening his own apartment door, he hesitated and looked back to the spoiled little princess, that he somehow was stuck with now. “Ah… er… Just a warning, it’s maybe a little messy… If you complain too much about it, you can leave right away, just so you know.” He said and it sounded rough, but he genuinely hoped it wouldn’t make her too uncomfortable. Truth to be told, he barely had any visitors over…
When he finally opened the door, and they entered his smaller kitchen, he pointed right to the tables and two chairs that were standing there. “Sit down, don’t touch anything, okay? I don’t want anything to burn inside of here!” That, and she also didn’t need to see his sink, that still had some left over dishes inside…
To Lili’s surprise, he really could handle to carry two(!) cup noodles at once, which he proved by bringing them to the table, after he finished preparing them. (With water this time!) “Here, eat up…” Just when he did take a seat, and wanted to start eating himself, he had the feeling he would have to tell her another thing, everyone else should already know about cup noodles: “Be careful, it’s hot.”
The whole process of making sure everything was secure with her own apartment before following Sou over to his wasn’t anything significant, the fact that Lili was just about to trapeze into Sou’s apartment for a casual (or as casual as possible, considering how the two of them were) dinner not fully hitting her until they were making a stop in front of his door. That was fine, right? This was just regular neighbor things and well, she would be more worried that he was some kind of terrible person if she hadn’t witness his rather sad lack of strength. Not that he gave off that kind of aura either! Sou was terrible in other ways and sometimes she really wanted to throttle him into the next century, but really he had a sneaky way of being... almost nice at times. Not that he would ever hear that come from her mouth!
“If I see any of your underwear laying around, I’m screaming and running.” Was her flat reply, though she was definitely curious about the layout of Sou’s apartment. The floor plans were probably pretty similar, but there was a lot you could tell about a person based on the way they lived, right? She could barely hide the fact that the minute he unlocked his door, she was already looking around, peering this way and that to see if anything about his living conditions would give her any more information about him.
All she really got was that he liked being in the dark, didn’t have much furniture, and was a real stickler about people touching his stuff -- Lili wrinkling her nose when he directed her over at the table and chairs. “You don’t have to shout... geez, does anyone ever come over to your place?” The chair was a little wobbly too and she resisted the restless urge to rock a little in her seat while waiting.
“I knew that! I’ve had noodles before!” Okay, maybe she was planning on just taking a bunch and eating up right away, but that much was something she knew from eating other noodles! But... they were good, even if one could argue that hunger was the best seasoning and it was only proper to thank someone for something like this, right?
“Um...” Except this was Sou and that just made it all that much harder!
“Well, you know uh... ahaha... this was, this is nice.” It’s just two words, that’s easy! She could say this to just about anyone!
“And you really can pick up two cup noodles! Maybe you’ll be able to pick up three one day.”

A soft chuckle left him, when Lili did startle like that from his little surprise attack. That was almost too easy. And even though she seemed rather annoyed about his presence, he somehow didn’t want to take his leave yet. Teasing each other was just their routine at this point, and why should he miss an easy opportunity like that.
“Ah, not really. How disappointing, I thought my neighbor, that I walk into so often, would know me better by now… Horoscopes, fortune telling, card reading… all of that isn’t really my kind of thing. You even could say, all of that stuff is pretty stupid, isn’t it? I’m more a man of numbers and facts, you know…” But he did see what she was trying to do here. She wanted to go inside, but was too embarrassed, huh? Well, he could throw a little bone over. That is, if she could swallow some of her pride for him!
“Ahaha, what a liar you are, miss Lili. You think I haven’t seen how long you’ve been staring at that tent until now? If you’d ask me very nicely, I would maybe accompany you… Then again, I don’t think you’re capable of that, so… never mind, I guess.”
Ugh, Sou just looked so smug about scaring the crap out of her, as expected. Maybe if Lili turned her head just a little, she wouldn’t have to take full force of his smirk head on... At the same time, she was just a bit glad that he didn’t leave right away. While she did talk to a few other classmates here, most of them were off doing their own thing and she did... enjoy his company... somewhat. Plus, all jokes and jabs aside, she... really did want to go into the tent to check it out.
“Don’t you walk into me a little too often? I might start thinking that you’re some kind of creepy stalker or something. Hmph, some people might say that those people have no imagination at all, you know. I’m not surprised that you’re one of those people.” Ack, he always caught onto things annoyingly quickly! Maybe there was some way that she could talk her way out of this?
“S-Seriously, I’m gonna start thinking that you’re like obsessed with me or something...!! You must have bad eyes or something then, because I’ve been uh... I’ve been looking at something else!” Ah, why wasn’t there anything else around the tent? Seriously, it was just all by itself in that area, there wasn’t anything else that she could even be thinking of looking at! And asking nicely? Hah! As if! There wasn’t any reason for her to ask him nicely for a maybe! But, then Sou shifted a little on his feet and her hand went to reflexively grab right at one of his sleeves -- it was now or never.
“...” Glancing around quickly, she huffed and cleared her throat, speaking in a small voice after.
“...please?”

It wasn’t good to stay cooped up all day and honestly, the words in her textbook were starting to mesh together in her mind... so a good walk would surely refresh her and bring some of that focus back! Coming to Blackwood had given her far more freedom than Lili had before; not having to worry about any sort of curfews and the like was a feeling that she would like to keep. Plus, there were so many things to see in the world!
Like this girl with messy red hair work away diligently at a canvas that was... wait, that canvas was huge! How did she even bring it outside...? Wasn’t it heavy? Was she going to need some help bringing it back inside? Lili didn’t even realize she had stopped to ponder over these thoughts until the girl spoke to her.
“Ah, oh, n-no! Not at all, I was outside myself to clear my head... it’s a really nice day outside, after all, ahaha.” She was really nice... Lili couldn’t say that she would be all that nice to someone else if they were staring at her in the way she was. That sigh sounded like she was really down though... and well, talking to another person was still considered part of taking a break, right?
“If you don’t mind... ah, I’m Lili. Lili... Lee.” Oof, she really had to get more used to this fake name, Lili hoping that Nao could maybe excuse her little wince as just part of her sitting down. “It’s nice to meet you too! Do you um, always take your canvas outside? Is professor Mishima a professor here?”
@mizunoyuki
Maybe taking that big canvas outside of the building, really did draw too much attention to her. But it was already too late to worry about that. Then some rather pretty looking girl, was already staring at her with big curious eyes.
“Oh, hello there! Is it weird that I’m working outside? When the weather’s sunny like that, it’s really nice to take your canvas outside… It can give you some new creative ideas! Or at least, that was what professor Mishima always told me… I somehow lack the inspiration today…” Maybe it was because she quite missed him. A sigh left her lips, before she put the brush down, and gave now all of her attention to the girl that approached her before.
“If you’re feeling like it, by all means, please sit down!” She offered, while patting the empty space on the bench she was resting on right now. “I’m Nao Egokoro by the way. It’s a pleasure to meet you!”

She had to be lying, right? Sou ate a lot of cup noodles before, if not almost any kind there was out there, and never was there even one kind, that you could prepare without adding any water to them! Whatever, best to let it go now, huh? But there were still things that had to be said!
“I don’t care about a replacement, those things are super cheap, anyway! I’m telling you this because I’m actually worried about y-” About what? That she’ll burn her apartment down? That she gets hurt? Ah, darn! He couldn’t say he was worried about her! Because it was not true, of course! Yeah, he had other things he was concerned about.
“A-about the microwave! You see, as someone who works a lot with technology, I think it’s a real waste what you’re doing here, day by day.” This was maybe one of the cheapest lies he ever told. Who cares about a microwave to that extent? Not even he was that big of a nerd! Quick! He needed to change the topic!
“Tch, forget it. How about you come over to my place then? I have more cup noodles there, and I’ll prepare them this time… You still need to eat dinner after all, right?” Wait, maybe it was weird to invite her over suddenly like that as well! Did he just made the whole situation even more awkward?
“Of course, you’re free to stay here and enjoy your burnt noodles as well, Miss Lili. I won’t stop you, you know.”
Worried about...? For a second there, it almost sounded like Sou was going to say that he was worried about her, which would have touched her in the middle of her embarrassment -- but ugh, the microwave?! It wasn’t even his microwave and the technology aspect that he was talking about barely had any relation to the kitchen appliance to begin with! Not that she really liked the idea of him worried about her in the first place either! Ugh, Sou Hiyori, worrying about her? No thank you, no way she was going to accept it either.
Just when she was about to open her mouth and go off about how he was impossible to deal with and how it wasn’t even his apartment, Sou changed the subject super fast and it sounded.. almost like an invitation? Scratch that, it was an invitation over so that she could have some dinner and it almost sounded... nice. Maybe Sou really was worried about her earlier and -
Ah, never mind. Her pride made her want to refuse, but her growling stomach wasn’t helping her...
“I-I bet you can’t even carry two full cup noodles if you even tried! I wouldn’t miss that for the world.”

His stomach growled as he walked into the coffee shop, there had to be something here to give some energy - besides the coffee of course. Luckily this shop wasn’t a far distance from his own dorm, making it a convenient location to stop at, though they didn’t exactly have a large menu. Initially Joe thought it’d be a quick in and out trip, but it was a lot more crowded than he’d imagined. Glancing around to see if there was open seating, he waited in the line with everyone else.
Grabbing his food when his name was called, he roamed around through the tables to find one himself. That’s when he noticed the girl staring at him, had he done something weird to get her attention? Did he know her from somewhere? It’d surely be embarrassing if he forgot about a friend if that were the case. Either way, he continued on over towards her. There’s no other way to find an answer to his questions! Though, she seemed to laugh when Joe got closer, having him look down, to see if anything was wrong with his outfit.
“Huh? You’re talking about my key chain? It’s from my best friend, Sara. Is it that weird it’s in my pocket?” He paused briefly, was that all she wanted to comment on? “You could probably find a key chain similar at a convenience store if you wanted one too.”
A situation is only awkward if you make it awkward, Lili had to remind herself -- quickly trying to squash away that feeling of flight that was digging in the pit of her stomach. At least this person seemed to be taking it all in stride... aside from looking flashy, it seemed like they were pretty nice too. But also, oh god they were still here and now trying to make conversation. Wouldn’t normal people just accept that she was acting weird and move on from that? At the same time... this was a chance to change that weird first impression into something better! Yeah! This was a chance, if she got out of her own head to actually listen to what he had to say.
“O-Oh! She must know you super well if she got you something that you carry around in your pocket all the time, ahaha!” Stupid, of course this Sara did, if she was his best friend! What was the point of parroting back the information he just gave to him? “No no -- er, well, I guess I wasn’t expecting it? You don’t usually see people carry around accessories like that... um, but uh, it suits you! Plus it’s um... it’s a good conversation starter, right?” She was not going to tell this person that he looked flashy and gaudy, absolutely not, even if the dog really was cute.
“M-Me? I wouldn’t know where to put it, but I’ll probably check it out for my friends, since it seems popular enough for that.” She wasn’t sure if he was looking for his friends to sit with or something, but it was only polite to offer him some place to sit since this place tended to get crowded... and she was taking up a whole table by herself. “Um, if you want, the rest of this tables free. It’s a lot of work getting a seat sometimes.”

There was not much sense in Lili going back and coming back to his door right after again. So he decided to slip already into his shoes, while saying: “It’s no big deal, I’m coming right with you, if you don’t mind.” It wasn’t like she would have anything to hide, since she just moved in anyway, most likely. Well he hoped she’d be okay with him coming over, he did it after all with good intentions in mind…
Two bags of trash didn’t sound too bad, and even once they arrived at her door and Lili dragged both of those said bags outside, it didn’t look too heavy… Yeah, even he should be able to handle them! As long as she didn’t fill them with stones or anything of the sort. “Let’s get it over with then, shall we?”
Unfortunately, right after he took one trash bag out of her hand, he could feel something hurting in his back. Darn, this was rather heavy. “Hua!” Was a kind of pathetic sound that he made, while carrying that thing with him, while leading her down the staircases that lead to the parking spots he mentioned earlier. Sou really tried his best, but in the middle of the way down, he had to take a break and put the bag down.
He couldn’t keep quiet about this, what kind of trash was this?! Was Lili one of those girls that hoard too much stuff and then gets rid of it all at once? While adjusting his beanie, he looked up to her, since she was still some stair steps behind him. “What in the world did you put in there? I better not be helping you getting rid of a body here…” Of course he didn’t really believe this, but still… Sou was aware that he wasn’t really the strongest men in the neighborhood, but he still tended to somewhat overestimate his own strength and give anything the fault but his weak bones.
“Oh! I don’t mind, I-I really appreciate it actually!” Normally, Lili would be a little more hesitant to let someone come over so quickly, since well, there were a lot of dangerous people in the world! But Sou didn’t really look all too dangerous... besides, if he really ended up being dangerous, her home was her terrain, wasn’t it? If he made some kind of move, she could easily find something to bean him over the head with! That being said, she couldn’t help looking a little embarrassed when they made it over to her door and he waited outside for her to bring her bags over instead of coming in. Really, it’s not appropriate to think about hitting your neighbors and running! Even if being careful never hurt anyone.
Something... else was wrong when Sou took one of the trash bags out of her hand -- Lili freezing in place when that... honestly sort of pathetic sounding noise came right out of him. Was... was he okay? Sure, the two bags together were a little bit heavy, but one of these surely wasn’t that bad. She even managed to make it over to the door with both of them! One of them should’ve been nothing for someone who so easily offered to help her take some stuff down. He even guessed that she would have a lot and this definitely was less than the mess she had when she first moved in. Okay okay, we mustn’t judge others especially when they’re doing nice things for us... she repeated that to herself in her head, grabbing the remaining bag and starting to (slowly) follow him down the stairs.
“Wh-?” Seriously?! A body? What kind of thing was that to say to your neighbor? And they had only made it down halfway and he already looked like he had ran a marathon? It was just Styrofoam containers and maybe some bits of paper, nothing heavy at all! What kind of person couldn’t carry that down the stairs without having to take a break? Maybe it was just that Sou was weak, she was carrying hers down just fine!
Oh, did she say all that out loud?

@mizunoyuki
The teal haired hacker wasn’t really big into his festive surroundings. Honestly, he just was checking out the place and planned to get some snacks. Though, just when he wanted to return home early, so he could spend the time until new year inside his bed with his laptop, he recognized a very familiar person from afar.
It was his neighbor, Lili. She seemed to be lost in her own thoughts, and Sou couldn’t help but feeling the urge to startle her. They’re relationship was just… like that. That’s why he quietly approached her from behind, and started talking to her without any greeting or warning whatsoever:
“You’re thinking about going inside there?” He pointed to the small fortune teller tent, that she was staring at for a while now. Not that he was watching her or anything, it just was plain obvious! “Huh, I had no idea you’re superstitious! Ahaha, are you the type of girl, that starts crying when she gets a bad fortune about ‘love’ or whatever?”
Logically speaking, there was no way that fortune telling was something legit or real. There were so many different factors that went into determining how a person’s life would go and not one of them was ever something that should have been predictable! But... Lili couldn’t say that she wasn’t curious about it... now that there was a fortune teller tent there on campus. Plus, it was free and all of life’s greatest things were free, right? But, it would just be putting stock into things that didn’t actually matter and --
“G-Gyaah!” So concentrated was she that she completely missed her annoying neighbor sneaking up ever so quietly on her, undignified yelp screeching out from her when he so graciously announced his presence. Shooting a glare over in his direction when her heart stopped hammering away in her chest like a bongo, she gave his arm a healthy shove at the same time.
“Don’t you ever do that to me again! And I’m not superstitious at all, w-who says I was thinking of going into the tent anyway? It’s just - it’s here and it’s free, so I was maybe thinking of doing it to waste some time! I wasn’t curious at all -- what are you doing here anyway? Are you sure you weren’t just planning on going in there and were just too scared to go alone?”

It wasn’t like he expected everyone to know who he was? Still, it was always a little weird to him when mentioning fans or streaming didn’t jog people’s memories. People who didn’t recognize him at least from the videos that went viral must live under a rock. Probably the same rock.
He laughed it off with a simple, ❝ Yeah, only the best channel out there. Check it out sometime. ❞
When asked about his major, he gave a small shrug. ❝ Pharma Science. Medicine and stuff. It’s pretty boring. You? ❞
“Okay, what’s your handle? I’ll do it right after class then!” While she wasn’t super sure if she would exactly like the content that the other had on their channel, at the very least she was sure that it wouldn’t be boring.
“Pharma science -- you mean pharmacy? Is it really that boring? It sounds pretty complicated, but oh, I’m in political science and international relations, so all of that sounds... marginally confusing.” It was a little disappointing to hear that Lili wouldn’t be seeing him around, while she was still trying to find her footing in terms of opening up to other people, it was easier with someone who was so high energy. But, speaking of which, did she even ask for his name? Here she was asking for his handle when she didn’t even ask for something more basic!
“U-Uh, I’m Lili though. I’m sure that um, I’ll catch you around again.”

"Merry Christmas, miss Lili!" He handed her a present that was wrapped up a little messy. "I got this for you, isn't that nice of me?" A teasing grin appeared on his face, giving away already, that it wasn't just a present out of good will. "You can thank me after you opened it, don't worry." Inside she would find a slim book with the title: 'Cooking For Dummies'.
“Don’t you have anyone else to bother for Christmas?” Not that she was doing any better, spending Christmas otherwise alone aside from all of the class and club parties that passed in the weeks before. Most people went home for Christmas after all, she was staying at the apartments in a bet to become more self sufficient and well, even if it was just for appearances, her father did technically kick her out of the house. Despite the cold response she was giving to Sou, it did touch her that he took the time out of the day to come over and even wrap a present for her. Granted, the present was wrapped pretty sadly and that grin on his face almost definitely meant that this gift was some kind of gag gift or something, but the thought counts!
At least it did until she unwrapped the present and the nice copy of ‘Cooking For Dummies’ was staring her right in the face. Hahaha, of course it was this! Of course it was! Ugh, just seeing Sou’s smug face in the corner of her eyes too. She was a lady though, it wasn’t right to yell at his face – it was really tempting to! It wasn’t like he wasn’t expecting some other kind of treatment from her either, right?
“Really?! The most festive day of the year and – ugh, I don’t even know what else I was expecting from you! You’re just - you know what, fine! Thank you very much for the present, Hiyori-senpai! You better be ready for some serious return present!” She was going to give him a present that was going to knock his socks off! As tempting as it was to give him back a sorta crappy present in return, killing someone with kindness was the higher road, right? Right. She was going to make him eat his words (and his present)!

❝ Jajaja I know, I’m sorry! ❞
Octavio didn’t sound particularly scolded. Especially as he brushed off the ground dust from her clothes. He was about to head on his way when she mentioned his camera. Oh no! His special interest.
He reached over with his prosthetic foot, catching the end of it under the camera and flipping it up into the air. He snatched it with his hand and tossed it between his two palms.
❝ Just catching my fans up on my new school. They have a right to know about the change of scenery. ❞
Oh. Well, at least he didn’t seem like he was discouraged by what just happened -- everything kind of slid off him like water off a duck’s back or something. Clearly not a shy person either, Lili awkwardly staying in place as the other proceeded to dust off her clothes. College was all about meeting different people and Lili could successfully say that this person was definitely more unique than anyone she had ever met before -- and spry too! That was a lot of process just now.
“Your... fans? Oh, do you vlog or something like that? I’ve never met anyone in person like that.” She had watched videos online occasionally and knew about the existence of streamers and the like, but wasn’t well versed enough to know anything aside from casual knowledge. That aside, he was a transfer student too?
“You just transferred here too? What department? I just want to know if I’ll be seeing you around more.”

is your muse a fitful or a quiet sleeper?
Character Headcanons
She sleeps pretty quietly for the most part, maybe she’s a little too used to being able to stretch out on a big bed because her life hasn’t had too many troubles along the quality of life route and the only issue she had was not being able to pursue her goals for a while. Whenever she gets nervous or worried about something, like a big test or even just a stressful life event, she will have a hard time sleeping then, but it’s not her usual state.

headcanon: talk about your muse's most prized possessions
Character Headcanons
She’s pretty fond of her hair pins – they were a present from her father some number of years ago and while she doesn’t agrees with his policies, she still cares for him as a person and well, he’s family. Geuntae gifted her one of those fancy foundation pens once he heard about her acceptance into Blackwood and that sits untouched in her room as well. She probably… will never ever use it and will just keep it because Geuntae gave her something. And finally, her friends gave her a big plush dog to ‘keep her company’ so the dog sits on her bed.

what calms your muse down after a bad day?
Character Headcanons
She’s definitely the type to go home, call up her friends, and rant to them about it to get it out of her system. The only friends she has at her current point used to be her father’s security detail, but because she was pretty much only allowed to talk to them, they became her close friends. If that option isn’t available though, she’ll treat herself to good food and watch a documentary on Netflix so that she gets out of that funk.
