I was shopping for clothes with my mother and I was showing her some very *fruity* clothes (button up shirts) I am not out to my mother so she said "is this you trying to tell me something 😰🤨" and as someone who doesn't know how to respond in this situation I simply played dumb and acted really confused "wdym 😅😮‍💨" another terrifying moment for a closeted nonbinary lesbian.

My mother is so confusing, like she seems homophobic but yesterday she was like "so who are you interested in now? Any boys any girls?" And I just said "uhh no" (even though I have a secret girlfriend) my mother doesn't know I'm lesbian and lately she's been saying stuff like this a lot so I'm terrified. But today she asked "so are you going to look for any cute boys at your new school?? 😏😏" To which I simply replied "ew no" and she was like "so you aren't going to be a little flirty to all the boys" and I just said "gross" she is figuring me out and it's genuinely terrifying. She keeps asking about boys and whenever I say no about thinking they're cute or whatever she gives me a really weird look 👹👹

did y'all know that statistics show that it's very common for people to be both pansexual/panromantic and nonbinary? i think that's neat.
