Sam was actually scared at how fast things had gotten out of control. He had no idea where Dean or Cas were, and while he was worried, he needed to get out of this hell hole first.
What had started out as a routine ghost chase had turned into a nightmare of the shape-shifting witch veriety.
Unfortunately as he tried to feel along the walls in the pitch black for a door, a flashlight fell on him.
"Sammy?"
"Dean?!"
"Sammy! I've been looking everywhere! Are you okay?!"
Sam nodded shakily.
"Just a little freaked out. Did you find an exit?"
Dean shook his head.
"I was looking. Cas is looking the other direction. We were looking for you."
Sam frowned. Something was wrong. But he didn't want to let on yet.
"Well a flashlight will be useful. Thanks. Let's go find Cas and he can fluttershy us out of here...
They began to look around again, though it was fairly clear that "Dean" wasn't actually looking.
"You know, I'm surprised he didn't come to my calls. Did he forget he's an angel again? I mean i know we just got married but shit, he can't be bored of me that fast right?"
He chuckled. Of course this was a complete lie.
"Heh."
Was the only reply. After a few more moments of the silence meandering through the dark wet basement, Dean suddenly turned him.
"Hey Sammy I have a confession. "
Sam did not like where this was going.
"Oh, like...what? Don't you wanna get Cas and get the hell...."
He grabbed Sams chin roughly and pulled him down i to a deep kiss.
"Dean!"
Sam fell back against the wall, wiping his mouth out with his shirt. That was definitely not his brother. In fact, in horror he watched as the figure began to crack and split and the image of his brother was ripped away only for a copy of himself to appear. His chest heaved, his head swam.
"I'm not just a shape shifter. I'm also a witch and I needed your hair for the final ingredient. I no longer need you. So please, go quietly to your death with your brother and your lover."
Sam was too scared and too shocked to move as he raised a dagger to stab him when suddenly there was a blinding light. He shielded his eyes as his doppelganger exploded.
"Cas?!"
When the light faded he looked up and all his breath was sucked out as he saw Lucifer standing there, wings spread, pulling an angel blade from the steaming body. His legs felt like jelly and before he could do anything more than whisper a soft "no", he was out, sliding down the wall.
There were a lot of emotions going on as he slowly opened his eyes. He heard a soft voice and felt gentke fingers.
"I'm sorry Sam. For everything. I had a really long talk with dad and we forgave each other. I know i have so much atoning to do."
Sam was shivering, chest heaving as he tried to catch a breath.
"Don't...hurt me. Please."
At this, Dean and Cas burst in.
"Okay get out. You're just scaring him."
Lucifer looked down at Sam a moment with a soft frown.
"Tell me how i can make it right."
Sam looked up at him, having a little more strength with his brother in the room.
"I don't know. I don't know if i believe you. I shouldn't. But...you saved my life..."
He swallowed hard and watched him leave.
Over the next few months Sam got less scared of him. He really was proving to have turned a new leaf. He went on hunts and served as Sam's personal guardian. One night the four of them sat drinking in the bunker and Sam was in a very good mood. Finally Lucifer felt confident enough, and decided to do it with the others to make Sam feel safe. Not pressured. He looked up from his shot.
"Hey Sam, truth or dare?"
Sam chuckled.
"Oh no, the last time i chose dare Dean had me streaking the girls camp in tenth grade. Okay okay, truth."
Lucifer side eyed Dean who looked away with half a chuckle. He might have been kind of a dick to Sam sometimes.
"Would you ever consider dating me?"
Sam stared at him for a moment.
"Wait, are you serious?"
Lucifer nodded a bit nervously.
"I know it sounds weird. But getting to know you, i...kind of fell in love with you. It's...it's okay to say no..."
Sam thought about it for a moment.
"Okay. Tomorrow nighf I'll give you a chance. If you can prove to also be a gentleman, I'll consider a second date."
Dean looked up.
"Sam, you don't have to do this."
He nodded.
"I know. But he's a really different person. And he is pretty attractive. He hasn't entirely made up for everything but he's genuinely working on it. What i want...is a man who's romantic, but not too sexual."
Dean raised a brow.
"Yeah okay i think imma head to bed before i start hearing stuff about my little brother that I don't want to hear."
Sam half chuckled.
"I could tell stories about you and your girlfriends."
Dean waved him off and headed to his room. Cas looked after him but then back to Sam. Sam nodded.
"I'll be fine. Go ahead."
Cas soon ran after Dean, leaving Sam and Lucifer alone together.
"Hey uh Sam...can we start tonight? Just cuddling....making kissing?"
Sam cautiously sat beside him. Lucifer leaned over and kissed his lips softly. That was pretty much all it took and Sam was hooked. They fell asleep together on the couch, Sam resting his head on Lucifer's chest, draped over him.
Dean sighed the next morning as he found them.
"Thank god they're still dressed..."
He mumbled and Cas elbowed him.
"He's happy, shut up."
Dean nodded and threw the blanket over them.
"I know. And that makes me happy. But you gotta do me a favor. If he ever, and i mean ever once, turns on us, promise me you'll kill him."
Cas nodded.
"Well i guess it looks like both of us bagged a couple of angels."
Cas kissed Dean softly and took his hand.
"Let's not wake them."
As they went into the kitchen, Lucifer cracked an eye open for half a second and pulled Sam a little closer. He would never take the Winchester for granted again.

Merlin sat sobbing over Arthur's body. He wasn't even cold yet, surely there was something he could do. Arthur was everything to him and now he had no chance to tell him. How could he deliver this news to Gwen? After everything, he'd failed the most important mission.
Kilgara stood nearby, and sighed deeply.
"You know the price. Who will go in his place if you convince the fates to restore him?"
Merlin closed his eyes.
"I will."
"You will not. You are the protector of this kingdom. Without you he will die again very shortly. Any one of his knights will take his place."
But suddenly Arthur began to caugh. He rolled slowly to his side to throw up.
"No one will be dieing today."
Merlin hugged him tightly, shocked. Kilgara likewise was stunned into silence.
"What happened?! How are you alive?! I was too late with the water!"
Arthur wiped his mouth and sat up.
"Seems it wasn't my time. The fates sent me back. I saw the future of Camelot all the way into a thousand years. I saw you as the king. Long after Gwen and I and our children are dead. I also saw....some secrets..."
Merlin looked away for a long moment, heart beating quickly.
"So...magic was a part of the kingdom?"
Arthur nodded.
"I saw everything you ever did for me. And everything the kingdom would become with it's absence and with it's inclusion. What I will ban is magic that harms others. But there's more. I will need that water to finish healing so I'll have a few days."
Merlin nodded and stood, helping him to his feet. Kilgara leaned down for them to climb onto him. He carried to the rest of the way and once Arthur had drank from the cup and taken off his armour, he sat leaning against a tree. Merlin sat close beside him, hand laid over his.
"So...what all did you see? Why would I be a king? I'm just a servant."
Arthur looked up at the sky for a moment.
"And I'm a spoiled confused prat. I haven't exactly been honest with myself these years. If my father knew the truth he'd have me put to death. The truth is Merlin, that I fell in love with you pretty much the moment I met you. I tried really hard to deny it. And don't get me wrong, i love Gwen too..."
Merlin was taken aback. Did he possibly mean to be with both of them? Did Arthur now know about his feelings? His thoughts were interrupted by Arthur suddenly and rather forcefully pulling his face up and kissing his lips. Merlin's eyes widened for a moment before closing. Soon he was wrapped tightly in Arthur's arms, hugging him as tight as he could in return. They sat in silence after this kiss for a very long while before Arthur sighed.
"Best set a fire. It'll be dark soon and I've no intentions being eaten by anything. "
Merlin chuckled a bit and built a fire pit.
"May i?"
Arthur nodded.
"It has it's uses."
Merlin focused on the wood and spoke a few words Arthur didn't understand before it caught fire, his eyes lighting up with it for a few seconds. He then sat back beside Arthur, holding his hand again.
"I uh...I'm sorry i lied."
Arthur shrugged.
"It was the best thing to do at the time. I'm scared though Merlin. I know that magic can be a beautiful thing, but I've seen it do horrible things."
Merlin nodded.
"It's the user. It can be taught to some. Some are born with it. The magic Itself that flows through people is neutral. Just like there are good and bad people, good and bad people can use it. I'm a good person...or well i try to be..."
Arthur kissed his ear.
"You are an amazing person and I'm just sorry that i didn't see it before now. Will you teach me majoc? Will you show me how to use it for the good of my kingdom?"
Merlin nodded and kissed him, never letting go of his hand.
"If you promise to never stop loving me."
"Not for another second Merlin..."
They curled up in front of the fire, Kilgara wrapping a wing around them to shield them from the cold and they quickly fell asleep.

Sam looked between the blinds again to the sound of John's agrivated sigh.
"He'll be back when he's back, Sammy."
Sam leaned against the door and closed his eyes.
'You sent him out there dad, you knew what he was going into and you didn't let me go!"
John narrowed his eyes.
"Because he's stupid for you."
Sam looked skyward.
"I get it, we're too dependent on each other, but you raised us that way."
John looked down. Did he tell Sam? Or did he just keep arguing. John sent Dean on a hunt alone, part of him hoping he wouldn't come back. Be it dead or run away. Finally hanging his head for a moment, he stared at his feet.
"Sammy, are you...aware of what he's been doing? "
Sam looked up. Well fuck. Of course he did.
"What do you mean?"
John looked at him with tired eyes.
"He waits until you're asleep...thinks I'm asleep...and kisses you...i mean...kisses you Sammy."
Sam looked away and wrapped himself in his arms.
"Yeah..."
There was an uncomfortable silence as John began to snap the pieces together.
"How far has it gone?"
Sam shrugged.
"I mean we haven't done anything uh..."
There was a little relief on Johns face at that.
"But you're wrong Sammy...I raised you with your brother. To depend on him, and hold down the house when we're hunting. I did not raise him to prey on you in your sleep. "
Sam took a deep breath as he tried to stop the tears.
"It's not really like that. I...Dean...we...look I don't know why or how i just...we fell in love. I couldn't tell you how long it's been going on. A lot happened while you were dead. We are pretty much the only thing in each other's lives. I tried to stop it at some point because I felt so guilty..."
John was silent a long moment.
"That's....why you went to Stanford? "
He nodded.
"One reason. And i found the love of my life. But then you went missing on that hunt for yellow eyes and Dean came to get me...and as much as I loved her i thought, just one more time. One more kiss. One more night curled up in his arms and I'd tell him it was over. And then yellow eyes killed her too. Please tell me where he is."
It was then that John had to make a hard decision. He thought long and hard about it before pulling a piece of paper from his jacket pocket.
"This is the last known address of the nest. He's at the hotel down the road from it. Be careful..."
Sam snatched the paper from him hungriliy with shaking fingers.
"Here, take the car. I don't want you hitch hiking across six states."
Sam looked down at him.
"Will you be here when we get back?"
John shrugged.
"Its...a lot to take in Sammy. Here I thought i was protecting you...and now i have to come to terms with the idea my two sons are actually romantically involved with each other. Go get his ass out of trouble. If I'm here or not you have my number."
Sam nodded just a bit as he took the keys and fled.

"Haruka Sama..."
Haruka stopped in her tracks and faced Ami with a very confused look.
"Sama? Why? San is fine."
Ami was blushing.
"O-of course it does. I just want you to know that i respect you a lot. Especially when it comes to these matters."
She looked down sheepishly and covered her eyes for a moment while Haruka chuckled slightly.
"Hey, everyone has a crush on me, it's okay."
Ami blushed harder at this but looked up.
"Oh no doubt. Haruka is a lady killer with all the right moves and a smooth voice that makes us quiver."
Now it was Haruka's turn to blush and she waved her hand.
"I'm not THAT attractive."
They walked over to a bench and Ami pulled two bentos from her book bag.
"I made you lunch. See...I'm so embarrassed about this. But i need your help a little. I realized recently that i have feelings for another woman and i want to persue that...but i don't know how to go about even trying..."
Haruka raised a brow after thanking her for the lunch.
"Well, is there a chance? "
Ami nodded though seemingly unsure.
"She's been...with girls and guys. She's currently single and I haven't seen anyone in a very long time. Since before college. More...i worry she won't see me that way."
Haruka nodded.
"I see. Okay so test the waters first. Michiru actually taught me about persuit. She persued me after all. Drop a couple of hints that you like her but don't say so directly. See how she responds. If it's good, start with little gestures. Suggest doing something she really likes together..."
Ami could see on Haruka's face that she wanted to know who it was but she was far too polite to ask. Ami rested her hand on Haruka's with a smile. "It won't be easy. But if she does have feelings for me, I'll make sure to thank you graciously. "
Haruka chuckled.
"Don't worry about it. Hopenit works out for you."
Rei was sweeping the temple steps, not much paying attention to anything other than the Sakura falling softly before her. Until a rose stuck in the ground at her feet with a note attatched to it. She read it, quickly looking up to the roof to see a familiar cape trailing away. But in its place stood sailor Murcury, a wry smile on her lips. Rei smiled as well and nodded toward the kitchen. Jumping down, Ami returned to her normal form and followed her. As soon as she got in the door, Rei shut it behind her and abruptly backed her into a wall, kissing her deeply.

because i read this. http://corpuscassie.tumblr.com/post/139717994720/what-if-sam-cant-go-into-his-room-anymore-because
This was the fifth morning Dean woke to find Sam asleep at the table in the library and he was beginning to worry. Sam hadn’t quite seemed himself since he had banished Lucifer from the bunker. Or maybe he was a little too much like the Sam of their youth. He understood hitting the books, but so hard that he fell asleep for a week straight?
“Hey,” He laid a hand on Sam’s shoulder to wake him, the lumbering Winchester shooting up and almost smacking Dean in the face, with a nightmare induced start. “Woah! Dean?! Don’t do that!” Dean had barely missed the back of Sam’s head by an inch or so. He pulled out the seat next to his brother and sat down, closing the book Sam had fallen asleep on and frowned. “Okay Sam, what’s eating you?” Sam stared at him for a moment and shook his head. “Nothing, i’m just...working. There has to be some way to defeat Amara. Something we’re missing...Something...” Dean was unconvinced by this. He could see it in Sam’s eyes. “Sam...I miss Cas too...and I’m worried about him, but come on man, you’re a mess. Have you even slept in a bed in the last week?” Sam looked away and shook his head. Would Dean get it? When he went over it in his head it sounded...ridiculous. But trying to be in his own room was like ripping a new hole into his heart. “It...smells like him Dean. And I don’t have the heart to clean anything. I tried to lay down, but when I turned the tv on to try to get my mind off of...this...” He pointed to the pile of books he had previously gone through. “That stupid Orange is the new Black was paused in the middle of an episode. I just...I know how stupid it sounds but...” He stopped as Dean placed a hand over his and squeezed gently. “I get it. It’s okay. We’re gonna get him back Sam. I promise. And then you’re gonna be kicking him out of your room to watch the new season of Game of Thrones...” Sam gave half a chuckle at this and Dean smiled softly but didn’t remove his hand and Sam didn’t pull away. He hoped the contact would bring him some peace. As if Dean’s confidence of Cas’ return would seep into his skin that way. “I’m just scared Dean. Everything reminds me of him. I want him back but I know how hard it is to try to fight Lucifer. When he’s ready to come back, he might not be able to. He saved my life and I have everything to thank him for. I just can’t go back in there. Not yet. Every time I close my eyes I see his face looking up at me while Lucifer digs his hand into my chest. I just can’t.” Dean nodded slowly and grabbed a book from the stack. “Since you drank all the coffee you get to go to the store this time, bitch.” Sam chuckled at this and stood with a nod. “What else do you want jerk?” Dean smiled up at him. “Pie obviously. Oh and I think we’re out of bacon.” Dean stopped him a moment to give him the keys. “The Impala? You trust me?” Dean nodded. “Of course.” Of course he did, but Sam quickly realized the other car belonged to Cas, and the keys to it were where the angel had carelessly dropped them...in his room. Sam internalized a heavy sigh and grabbed Dean’s keys. “Maybe I’ll sleep in the car tonight.” Dean chuckled. “Gotta be more comfortable than a stack of books.”

I Still Love You
because i read this > and loved it so much <3 http://heavenlysams.tumblr.com/post/139569058554/okay-but-like-imagine-sastiel-after-lucifer-stops
It started as a single word and it snowballed into something so horrific and broken that he was terrified he’d never be able to fix it. Sam had been there for him almost from the beginning. Sure they started out a bit rough around the edges but by now Cas was so in love with Sam that he couldn’t picture breathing without the younger Winchester. And that was exactly the problem he faced.
Cas sat in bed staring at the moving pictures on the T.V but he couldn’t really pay attention. With an aggravated sigh he turned it off and rolled onto his side, now simply staring at the door, hearing the muffled voices coming down the hall. His heart both rang and sank as he heard Sam’s voice. That deep tenor he had grown accustomed to hearing muffled in sheets over the years. There was none of that now, his bed was empty and unforgiving. Not that he felt he deserved it anyway. “Sam...” With tears in his eyes he rolled to his back again. What was sleep? He still wasn’t up to charge and fighting Lucifer tooth and nail hadn’t helped any. Yet he found he could not sleep. He was scared of everything. Scared to be alone, but scared he might accidentally hurt Sam or Dean if he were with them. Scared that the hallucination wasn’t just that. He was haunted by his decision. Cas hadn’t slept in four days except tiny little naps here and there that only resulted in horrific recurring nightmares of the things Lucifer did in his body. The things that disturbed him the most though, were the things he did to Sam. He felt the rage. The intent to not just kill but torture. he felt the burn of Sam’s pure and beautiful soul as it merged with Lucifer.
When he woke from these all he wanted was Sam to be there. He wanted to feel the arms around him, comforting him the way he had comforted Sam countless times. But he felt he didn’t even deserve that. Not since the last time he had tried to get close to Sam. The fear in his own eyes was nothing compared to the fear in his lovers and he both understood it, and hated it at the same time, hated himself because he knew he had caused it. “Yes...” One simple three letter word had destroyed his life and broke the bond he held most dear. Give him time, Dean had said, he’ll come around. But Cas wasnt so sure. He had nothing but time to spare and it seemed to tick by at a much slower pace than normal.
As much as he wanted Sam to hold him and tell him everything was going to be okay, he wanted to hold Sam. He just needed the contact. Needed to feel Sam’s body heat, listen to his heart. He knew exactly how Sam felt. He trusted himself less than Sam trusted him right now. He’d broken that trust which was so hard earned, and he was scared. Scared of Sam, and for him, and their tomorrows.
He curled himself up in the blankets and hid his face in the pillow as he cried. “Sam...i’m so sorry...” He cried himself to sleep, only to be reminded of why he was currently laying under three blankets soaking his pillow in tears without the man he needed. He fought again as his hand was pressed into Sam’s chest. That gorgeous light flooding from such a pure soul. Cas loved Sam for many reasons, but the thing he loved most was Sam’s soul. His heart ached to be with Sam, even if it was just for ten minutes.
It wasn’t that Sam didn’t want to be with Cas. Exactly the opposite. He wanted so bad to be with him, holding him and comforting him. He knew Cas had to be in pain. Physically and Emotionally. He remembered what it had been like to fight for control only to question existence when he finally won. He knew the nightmares and the self loathing. The fear that he wasn’t really in control. that he was just hiding somewhere in plain sight. He wondered if Cas was hallucinating too.
He had tried. He had honestly tried. For days after Cas was Cas again, he tried. They made small talk in the morning but Sam couldn’t look him in the eya anymore, and was quick for an excuse to leave. In recent days Cas was spending more and more time alone and it worried him. His heart ached for Cas. But every time he tried to get close, to bridge the gap between them and find peace for them both, a little voice whispered. “it’s not Cas...” And he would fall to pieces again...Not even his brother could convince him this time.
They had been standing in the kitchen when it happened. Cas was helping Dean chop vegetables for dinner and Sam was coming in for a beer. Dean had his headphones on, rocking out as he seasoned a beef brisket. Sam instantly felt dizzy, flashes of the pain of Lucifer touching his soul reverberated through his head and he stumbled. Cas dropped the knife on the cutting board and ran over to Sam, not realizing he’d only make it worse. It was an accident. Or maybe Cas was just too worried about Sam to notice how much he was panicking. He wrapped his arms around Sam, pressing him up against the wall. “no...Cas...please i’m...” He wasn’t okay. His face was growing pale and he couldn’t catch his breath. “DEAN!” Cas had called. Dean was beside them in an instant, hands pressed gently on either side of Sam’s face. “Sammy? Hey can you hear me? Sam? Are you okay? Cas, what happened?” Sam was out of it, it took a few seconds to register both Dean’s voice and that Cas was holding him. He couldn’t look at Cas and see him. He tried to see Cas, but all he felt was Lucifer. “Cas...” He whispered. Cas shushed him and kissed his forehead. “I’m here...” They both watched in horror as Sam’s eyes fluttered and flickered and slid closed. “Sam?!” “Sammy?!” they caught him as he fell limp in their arms and as he helped get Sam safely to the floor, he realized what he had done.
Cas of course had been right beside him when he woke and so was Dean. Ever since, he just couldn’t be less than two feet from him without having a panic attack and dizzy spells. It drove him crazy every time he walked past Cas’ door. He wanted...needed the same contact that he knew Cas did and he hated himself for not being able to get past this. He felt like he had been violated. And the violation was done by his worst nightmare in his lovers body. Cas couldn’t trust himself and until he could, Sam couldn’t trust him either. They were barely clinging to a relationship that was more broken than his own soul.
Sam sat quietly at the table this morning with his breakfast and a book. Dean sat beside him, unsure how to help. and Cas sat across from him staring woefully at Sam. was there any hope for them? There was so much Cas wanted to say, but every time he opened his mouth, nothing came out. He ate with one hand, looked down at his food and with the other he inched closer to Sam in the middle of the table. Sam looked up at him and very very slowly, reached his to meet Cas’. their pinkies touched and Cas found comfort in this. He smiled just a little and tears filled his eyes again. When Dean got up to put his dishes in the sink, Sam quickly jotted something on a page in the book and slid it over to Cas, trying to smile back. Cas nearly broke down as he read it. In Sam’s beautiful hand writing, the words. “I still love you.” and somehow he knew everything would be okay in time.

Good To Have you Back
“Cas...” Sam whispered as he was thrown against the wall. “guess again.” Sam closed his eyes tightly. “Cas i know you’re in there please...please...”
Lucifer chuckled. “Of course he’s in here. and oh boy is he fighting. See, i didn’t realize exactly how he felt about you or I would have had a lot of fun with that.” Sam stared up at him in shock. Why did he always feel so weak and small when he was up against Lucifer? Everything else he could deal with. he had looked God in the face and helped kill Lucifer’s brothers. “no...no you’re lying!” he looked down into the cold blue eyes and watched a smirk cross the lips. It wasn’t Cas and he could tell that now. “how could i have been so blind to it Sammy? I wish...oh i wish i were.” he leaned up and whispered harshly against Sam’s lips. “the things he wants to do to you Sammy...even have me blushing.” before kissing him rather roughly. Sam struggled against him but he couldn’t move. He found himself pinned under the former angel on the floor, being kissed too hard and too often to breath and suddenly a hand dipped into his chest. he screamed into the kiss before everything went dark.
When he woke it was to a soft hand brushing the hair out of his face. “Sam?” The younger Winchester opened his eyes slowly. “Dean?” Dean breathed a sigh and nodded. “Cas expelled him just in time.” Sam came to his senses quickly after that and looked up at a very guilty looking Cas. “Cas?” The angel nodded. “Sam, I’m so sorry. i thought...i was doing the right thing. i see i was wrong. i never wanted him to hurt you...” Sam stood slowly and stared at him. “do you...was he right?” he couldn’t ask to hope but he wanted to know. Cas looked away. “Dean...a moment with Cas...alone?” Dean looked between them but nodded and left quietly. Cas looked up at Sam for a long moment with a look of utter defeat and fear before nodding. “i can’t hide it any longer Sam. i didn’t think you’d ever find out. i was so careful. but it was true...i guess you could say i might be a little obsessed with you.” Sam smiled at this and half chuckled. “you ever want to make anything out of it just let me know.” before Cas could get in another word, Sam kissed him, though softly. “good to have you back...”
